why the death penalty is illogical and wrong: if society puts to death those who have killed an innocent person, and in turn that society ends up sentencing an innocent man to die, that society itself, then deserves death. Regardless of this particular case the possibility of wrongful execution should be enough to make a modern society re-evaluate it's legislation.

News Flash: the Governor has issue a partial reprieve for Troy Davis. No lethal injection! He now get's the electric chair, but the Governor has agreed to reduce the voltage.
Okay, let Troy Davis go, but substitute in OJ Simpson. I'll never forget seeing on the news (dozens of times), a room full of niggers cheering when OJ was declared "not guilty". Sickening!
Maybe the news will cut to a room full of white people cheering as Troy Davis is executed.

@Dovahkiin619 Witnesses also placed troy davis and accomplise at a unrelated shooting two days prior to macfails and davis was subject to arrest for. if people heard what jurors heard about Mcfail case there wouldn't be any doubt of guilt. Don't forget that mcfail was coming to the aid of a homeless black man being beaten at time and this "free troy" campaign is part of naacp's too many black men being victimized by "system" propaganda and Davis is typical of repeat violent offenders

The jury found beyond a reasonable doubt that Troy Anthony Davis shot and wounded a man at a party earlier in the evening, then pistol-whipped a homeless man. When Officer Mark MacPhail, who was off duty, intervened to help the beating victim, Davis killed the officer, shooting him three times — once in the face after he was down to “finish him off. Davis has been given every opportunity to prove his innocence. He has not managed to do this and now it is time for him to be executed.

Seven of the nine witnesses who initially testified that Davis was the killer have recanted and they have done so in sworn affidavits. There is no physical evidence tying Davis to the murder and no weapon was found. Like you, I want justice for the death of Officer MacPhail. I want to make sure the right man is paying the price. I'm not sure and I don't know how you can be either.

@nicspic2011 Your statement holds water assuming, of course, that the court system is infallible. Which, you know, it's not. One of my biggest (and strangest) fears in life is simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time and being convicted and killed of a murder I didn't commit.

(over 160 children have died from american drone attacks in pakistan upto now. google to find substantiated facts and pics on this. hundreds and thousands more children and innocent adults were killed in iraq,libya, and afghanistan, to mention only the current overt acts of western aggression).
