  • Lucky !!!!!

  • cool

  • i dont have a garden >.<

  • Amazing. The Blue Jays at the bird conservation area by my house will only come take your food if you toss it on the ground. Then they'll often rush back up to the nearest branch. Jays look so fearsome =P

  • i think it just takes patience and a lot of sitting perfectly still. it all started with me feeding the squirrels at work. t another experience was a mockingbird and a starling eating out of my hand! the mockingbird would come up and sit on the railing next to me when i was taking a break. he'd "talk" very softly sitting right next to my head and then take broken up peanuts/walnuts from my hand. same with a starling. in ended upraising a starling baby who fell from a third floor roof. he speaks!

  • I love it, so cute, and you were lucky enough to be able to get very close to it. I would die to get that close to a Blue Jay. My wild ones have not let me get too close to them (yet). ' ' )

  • How amazing is that... I wish i could get the Blue jays out here to eat from my hand. X3 but as you are, im trying to work my way up there. Good luck with him :)

  • Corvids... amazing birds!

  • They are aggressive at the feeder. But i love blue jays.

  • lol, he killed ya and hes taking ur penuts lol. nice vid.

  • i love blue jays! but a lot of people don't like them. i am not sure why.

  • really? they are such pretty birds though. why don't people like them?

  • HOW DO YOU DO THAT??

  • that little bird watched as i fed squirrels on the property and would always come down to get peanuts. i started putting the nuts on the table and he'd come there instead. then came my hand on the table, etc. eventually, he was very confident eating from my hand. i haven't had much luck with him landing on my hand while i'm standing or sitting at the table, but that's next on my agenda :)

  • My Western Scrub Jays are similar. Sometimes I put out 5 nuts just to watch them pick one up, drop it, pick one up, drop it, pick one up, drop it, pick one up and go away.

  • I love how picky they seem! They weigh the peanuts and eat the heaviest ones first to maximize the nutrition they're getting. :)

  • Awesome!!

  • aww^w^
