Plenty of us in NYC ride bikes in regular clothes for transportation. There would be more of us if there were secure parking at workplaces. Next oil shock is less than 3 years away.

most of the bikes were kids bikes.

a couple of roadster.

only one racer. and that was low end.

so dont think anyone would have worn bike clothes on those bikes.

not much people would have stopped using a car to ride these bikes
