Underrated film. Hugh Jackman really played 3 characters but was bound by his pledge to the Queen. The religious overtones were more complex than most viewers realize. And, the ending was proof you couldn't live forever but love could transcend time and was forever. Rachel Weicz was stunning as usual like she was in Mummy and Constantine. The movie almost didn't get made. Darren Aronofsky risked his career on it. Funny how the ring was always present--the circle of life.

I wish I could bring back the feeling I had when I first saw this trailer, the feeling that made me watch it on repeat and which led me to the dvd. Then, I wish I could go back to my very first viewing of the film and relive the sheer and sublime awe I felt when I saw it in full...a very specific time in my life, and it opened my mind to beliefs I never knew existed.

Beautifully acted, visually breathtaking, intellectually & spiritually challenging & fulfilling, and far and away one of the greatest movies ever made.

As a sidenote, and sorry if it's already been mentioned, but I love that Tommy & Izzy's surname is ' Creo ', which is spanish for ' I create '.

Yes actually. Aronofsky decided to turn the screenplay into a Original Graphic Novel when the movie fell apart in the beginning with Bradd Pitt.

i find it amazing how Darren Aronofsky did not overlook the little things like Tommy's last name being Creo which in latin means: to create, make. greatest movie ever. simply the greatest emotional rollercoaster on film.
