  • very interesting video thanks

  • This is a great video

  • with ATC is great.

  • Nice video of a magnificent plane. Still has it after all of these years! A cargo flight uh? Not bad. I love the transmissions between the flight deck and air traffic control. Awesome sounds!

  • A380 much bigger than old grandpa B747 LOL...

  • @devillotus1 bigger isnt always better.

  • Boeing won the US military contract for tankers with it's 767!!! Nice try airPUS!

  • super!vreau si eu!

  • A380 is shit. Cant wait to be on a 747-8

  • The 747 is way better than the A380! I don't care how many passengers the A380 can carry! The 747 is still way better!

  • I miss the Dragonair' Jumbo's at EGCC.

  • Awesome vid

  • Boeing has a real history, and real name recognition. Air Bus will ALWAYS be trying to keep up...

  • w00t for random SAS Mc donnel

  • BOEING RULEZZZZZZ

  • I love the 747 forever. It has so many good memories for me from when I was growing up. Planes in general are so neat but I'll always be partial to Boeing and 747s over Airbus.

  • @dunneh

what you wrote true, but dont forget the DC-10/MD-11 - those were quite pretty too. i miss them. Airbus...... like soneone else said, will alwayz be trying to keep up.

only reason they get more sales etc now is becuz their aircrafts are cheap as hell.

  • @sonicboom2885 By the way... Boeing started to copy Airbus' wing design(compare the 777 to any Airbus), and plus Airbus planes are much safer because Airbus learns from Boeing's mistakes, while Boeing does some things a 3 year old child could have done better

  • @filipbitola

    dude #1 your smoking crack.

#2 - the 747-400 rolled out with winglets first time back in the 80's.

#3 - any airbus is uncomparable to the 777. Jus cannot match up. Not to mention, wtf do u know about its design? it was done via CAD, and the computer said there would be no benefit to add winglets to them.... they only started making the wing rakes for added stability.

#4 - Jus a couple days ago i heard an Airbus's cockpit failed and all the instruments jus went out....fuck off bitch

  • @filipbitola Hmmm, so Airbus can learn from Boeing's mistakes, but Boeing can't copy Airbus? lol, retard.

  • @imafreakinsubscriber Dude, just check how many planes have fallen because of Boeing's faulty designs and stupid mistakes. And compare that number to the number of Airbus's crashes and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  • @filipbitola Airbus learned from Boeing's mistakes! Without Boeing, Airbus would also have many flaws! Heck! Without Boeing there would be no Airbus! Today, Boeing is actually safer than Airbus, but Boeing has more crashes because they still have some older planes out there some where! But Boeing is still more safer than Airbus! And Airbus isn't so flaw-less either! All a340/a330 aircraft were just recalled because of the pilot tube being faulty! (AirFrance 447)

  • @SAMCAMJAIK1 btw... don't speak of faulty equipment... Boeing had to change the radio altimeters on their 737-800 after a plane crashed because of it. And what else was interesting... Boeing received over 7000 complaints from different airlines about the same problem and dismissed it as if it were nothing. Plus, who in their right mind has 3 altitude indicators and tells the autopilot to use only one of those three? Have they ever thought to use the 2 that show the same?

  • @filipbitola Sorry! I sent the comment to the wrong person! The comment you replied back wasn't meant for you! SORRY!

  • @filipbitola you're a dope!!!

  • a380 is ugly. 747 is so beautiful.

  • Has anybody ever noticed how the A380 looks like a big fat twinkie with wings?

  • always is v good atc at manchester

  • excellent video .. i really enjoyed that with the ATC chatter !!

  • hong kong airliners=cathay pacific and dragonair

  • Lion VS the Dragon Cargo 747 anyone ?

  • oh yeah, nothing like pegging the 6,000' a minute mark after rotation.. Nice take off for a 747.

  • With radio frequency were in the GROUND?!

  • With our modern technologies, we can avoid any kind of accidents. They shouldn't happen anymore. Confidence again. New planes! A flight should be a relax for everyone. Hate slow ships, though they have the best pleasures. The pleasure is to flight.

  • i like the shape of the 747 so much, and the comfort is awesome, good peice of art

  • lol one Wikipedia it says it's 747-400BCF

  • what a superb and timeless piece of engineering triumph. they don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • Beautiful

  • boeing's hella gay. cant wait till airbus makes em go broke

  • @kingcamilo WTF is wrong with you? Don't be angry just because, Boeing has been manufacturing planes longer than Airbus, so they will be around for a long time. Stop your crying.

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x

Who's to say Airbus wont be around for long?

  • @SinclairisCool I never said they weren't. I have lots of respect for Airbus, its just that I grew up around Boeings. Boeing completed many milestones over the years since they became aviation manufacturers. What kingcamilo said "Boeings are hella gay, cant wait till airbus makes em go broke," kingcamilo clearly can't think straight of what the outcomes will be. First, MANY people will loose their job and second the aviation industry will be in a shithole without Boeing!

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x

    OOH OK. sorry :P

Erm why would the industry without Boeing? i think Airbus would be able to fill in the needs of the airlines.

  • @SinclairisCool Like I said number one, thousands of people will loose their jobs. Second, many airline operators have Boeings in the their fleet, what will happen if Boeing goes out of business and operators need spare parts? Third, there are third world country operators such as Bangladesh that operate old but safe DC-10's and other countries alike that probably can't afford to buy new planes and must stick with what they have. Many loyal Boeing operators will refuse to buy Airbus as well!

  • long live the boeing 747

  • ładna duża maszynka :)

  • Why don't you upload your own videos instead of stealing other peoples work?

  • What Engines are those? PW?

  • Its crazy how steep the initial climb is!!

  • due to the position of the camera, it looks much steeper than it really is.

  • They need to replace the 747's 4 ancient engines and put 2 of the GE90-115's that are used on 777's. The 747 would get to it's destination quicker, use less fuel, and be able to do a few aileron rolls to thrill the passengers. Replace the 747's engines...please!

  • it's a cargo plane

  • would love to see that but it would cost too much i think they may do it on the 747-800

  • Very nice video. Not much cargo

  • i just love the way a B747 looks.

B747 is definitely a better design than A380

  • i agree

  • @DaAfterburner

    That's your opinion.

  • @DaAfterburner why?

  • @DaAfterburner

Agree. The cockpit on a double decker belongs at the top of the deck, not sitting in the middle of the nose looking all goofy.

  • @DaAfterburner I think we all can agree with that. The 747-800 is extremely sleek as well!!!!

  • @DaAfterburner all boeing planes look better then anything :)

  • @DaAfterburner yea have you seen the new 747-8 oh my gosh its soo nice

  • @DaAfterburner Only the exterior looks good. A380 Beats B747 in the Interiord design and Space :/ I love both companies both have pros and cons.

  • @DaAfterburner yeach better looking but I still love the 737-800 ;)

  • @DaAfterburner i dont know about that.

  • it NEVER ceases to amaze me of how big and powerful those planes are

  • Pratt&Whitneys rumble alright!!

  • wow superb lighting. what time was it shot?

  • Beautiful! Love the lighting.

  • How do u get the aircraft traffic control radio tower voices??? tell me asap!!! lucky u! thnx!

  • liveatc google pls kthx

  • It's called a 'scanner'.

  • B E A utifull!!:)

  • very big aircraft indeed!!

  • I saw the dragon cargo 747-300 at Manchester airport last year when i went on a leisure+tourism trip with school from Blackpool. It one big plane.

    Cool video

  • heavy machinery !

  • nice plane , i didnt know dragonair has 747F, i think this plane was formally a 747 passenger and then converted to Freighter, because there are sealed window on the whole plane

  • because of the angle

  • Bloody mental case machinery..

  • Was the plane converted from the passenger version? Because if you look carefully you can see the outline of the windows.

  • AFAIK boeing only built a passenger version of the 747-300. So yes it has to be a converted one...

  • Correct. Didn't you see it still had passenger window indentations in it? The standard F does not have these.

  • its a converted version the normal freighter version is just called F the other ones BCF boeing converted freighter

  • Yes I am aware of this.

  • Wonder if there are dead bodies lying in the cargo hold of that plane.

  • yea, you.

  • 747s have the coolest noses.

  • looks like they got some xwinds.

  • Not even close to tail strike and yeah its a converted 743 passenger aircraft

  • just a few words for all us the (AM) air men's its very nice to see every airplane taking off.............. OUR PROUD ON THE AIR

  • love that plane :)

  • Almost a tail strike

  • maybe the pilot is new to the 747 cuz the cockpit is so high up but he had sim training so maybe the 747 is heavy that day?

  • perfect-

  • .......

  • Nice takeoff, and grate video footage!!!

The take off looks steep, does anyone know why???

  • its sort of an illusion because of the camera angle. the takeoff is standard. usually about 15 degrees of pitch.

  • i work on the ramp and was racing alongside this plane in my EBT not so long ago, its an azmazing experience.

  • Why is there windows? just wondering

  • this aircraft used to be a passeger jet...and was converted to cargo configs.

  • previously it could of been a passenger plane

  • Oh my good, did you see the and of the movie...SOOO BEAUTIFUL...the last seconds was the perfect example for my last comment, the queen of the skies...

  • I think so that the A380 is nice and huge...BUT the 747 is the QUEEN of the skies 4ever...the most beautiful four engines aircraft in the world...

  • 747 is the best

  • i agree boeing owns

  • boeing 747's beautiful planes =]

  • Why do simulated communication? should leave the video as it stands. You hear quite wrong and very Chafe, the video is excellent, but they seem to be playing 2 idiots pilots there.

  • The communications are real, not fake.

  • hav you seen dragon air 747-400 ther best

  • dat thing is HUGE great videos

  • mate, you have a lot of cool vids !!!!

  • WOW! Thanks for the vid!

  • Looks like it has the old P&W JT9D engines.

  • 'what a takeoff.. Beautiful.

  • hermoso avion felicidades

  • go dragon gargo and nice take off

  • that must be in china

  • WOW that thing is huge!

  • nice but how does it manage to takeoff lol

  • ain't she a beauty!!

  • This is very beautiful

  • i would much rather fly a cargo plane cause i probly can't be trusted with passengers, lol!

  • flaps 20?

  • Yep flaps will be set to 20, she needs all the lift she can get, the 747-300 is a big bird lol.

  • hmmmm, i think it is 10, usually for a normal plane unless the plane is heavy loaded.

  • Nope The boeing 747-XXX is far from a normal aircraft, Talking to a 747-200 F/O They usally use flaps 20 or 15 dependent on many factors including wind, Weight.

  • 400? no winglet tho

  • it's either a 743 or 742SUD.

  • OH yeah i forgot. Sorry

  • -300, look at the title

  • Hey! I se a MAS 772 in the background! Around 1:43.

  • Great video!

You used some unique angles there.

  • Great video! I was up on the mound with you when you were filming this, some of the best light for photography I've seen.

  • Prat & Whitney JT9D

  • Actually, those are Rolls Royce engines.

  • Sorry, my mistake.

  • JT9D Engines if im correct ?

  • Maybe. I'm mistaken with the Rolls Royce part.

  • Brilliant stuff

  • The light catches the triple slotted flaps to perfection. PW 4000 series engines I think. Don't know which version. Again that lovely sound. Thanks.

  • Very nice take off

  • Fantastic 5 Star Capture, Long live the 747, she is the best! I love this aircraft, everything about the 747 is just beautiful. Queen Of The Skies!

  • It sounds like the controller said "Birthday cake" at the start of the video! LOL:)

  • how did u get the ATC?

  • fun that that plane dident get stall

  • why would it stall?

  • absolutly beautiful, well done great vid 5 stars for defo !!!
