This woman is one of the most respected social scientists in the world.

She is discussing the idea that the current concept of "science" is socially constructed, meaning that there are inherent meanings in the term and practice of "science" that have been instilled in it through the history of the scientific community. She has a feminist theory perspective so she comes at this from the understanding of patriarchal influence throughout the history of "science."

After watching this woman I now understand why most scientists are men.

Scientism ? Scientific method is a social construction ?

She never completely says it, but this is what I've heard from lecturers of my local university. I think it's something to do with the idea that science as it is right now is too strict.

I hope this isn't a popular idea and god I hope it's not what she is peddling.
