  • Oh and some syllabuses will have assignments and stuff on there. So its really important to read it thoroughly and more then once.

  • One more bit of advice, make sure you have some "me time" time that you have to yourself, no work, no school no nothing except something that you want to do. Go on the computer and play games, read a non college book, watch tv. Even if it is only for 15 to 30 minutes, by giving yourself time to yourself it will cut down on stress and burn out. Plus you need a break and your mind needs a break.

  • Another tip or two, if your not a morning person, then don't have morning classes. And also if you can don't schedule classes back to back (its not always possible I know I have a program with set times) this way you will have time to get to and from and time to absorb what you learned fully.

  • Yeah one tip, don't let yourself fall behind in your work and/or studying and don't procrastinate. That is where all the all nighters come from those who are behind/wait for the last minute. In my six years of college (long story and no its not due to failing classes) I have came close to an all nighter once because I was procastinating. If you pull an all nighter, chances are you won't remember much of what you read/studied, and the day after will be tough for you which could hurt your grades.

  • This isn't a question but 7 days ago school started and I was 10 minutes early and outside was a HUGE line like 100 ppl there waiting outside !! So u should make that 25 minutes early but use u dads or moms phone to play while u wait :)

  • Also, which dorms are the best/biggest and are a reasonable amount of money? :) which kind of dorm do you live in?

  • Thank you :) I was just kinda scared that i might not be able to manage my job and time! i have another question: can you make a video about MEAL PLANS and everything we need to know about it? What's the cafe food like and is it better to go grocery shopping and store it in your dorm? Or would you prefer going out to eat with friends and all that..? :)

  • hey i really have an important question! :) its about RA'S do you know anything about them? Cause i was thinking it would really good on my future resume and stuff for when I'm in college but i have a question: HOW DO RA'S MAKE TIME FOR STUDYING AND STILL WORK AS RA'S? Is it a full time job? thanks! x

  • @OfficialAla I have a friend who is one. Every school is different but they switch off the days that they work during the night and everything... and even if they are working during the night they can do their homework. He loves it and it made him much more involved on campus :)

  • I kinda wanna go back to H.S lol. College is starting next week and im sorta nervous

  • Very helpful tips! I have one, its kind of odd though...if your professor gives you a printed syllabus then don't lose it! I had a professor who said that he wouldn't accept over 3/4 of a page over the page limit. The limit was low too. In the syllabus he gave us it didn't say that but the one online did say that. He never took off points since he knows I would said something, but still it was good I had my own proof. Plus no other prof. but him had a weird page limit.

  • my freshmen year starts tomorrow! im excited, a little nervous and anxious. thanks for these videos. im not sure if you have a video on this already, but you should do a vid about buying/renting books. and different options besides the school bookstore, such as amazon and chegg, etc. :) oh and local bookstores

  • With time I'll share something I learned in high school. I was in band and did marching season so time was def important. Our director taught us this: if you're early you're on time, if you're on time you're late. :-p With the syllabus what I do is on my phone calendar is put important dates on there and put an alarm on it and have it go off in a good amount of time so I can be reminded if I've forgotten for some reason. Oh and don't procrastinate I'd def say!

  • I'm so glad I watched this video. I'm starting my very first day of college next week and I'm so nervous and scared. :O

  • @littoswtangvil me too!!! im so nervous!

  • @littoswtangvil Aww don't be! Be excited! :) <3

  • my schedule this year I have a lot of classes that are ten minutes between the end of one and the start time of the other, do you think if I explain that they will understand?

  • @hdbbt Yes definitely! If you end up finding out that you can't make the class on time, just let them know that you have a long distance to walk from :)

  • great tips :)

  • @NDSlovee Thank you!! :)

  • Do professors usually give like paper syllabuses and important papers? Instead of like on the internet or blackboard...

  • @cosmicolorsx Many of mine did both, but it's always good to print out important information if they post it online so you can refer to it in class :)

  • so helpful!!! thanks girl!! :)

  • @Christina36182 Thanks!! I'm glad you found it helpful! :)
