  • simpy brilliant analysis

  • It's been decades, and banks haven't changed a bit ;D. Wow.

  • Banksy owns xD

  • 21 people work at a bank...

  • Socialists...funny. Hey!? How's the queen? Have your towns stopped burning?

    ...that's funny.

  • @Raven7176 Pointless as ever and yes, months ago.

  • Actors are after manipulation of human behaviour. Thumbs up to show the truth.

  • Best damn ending!

  • This is how banks are, nufsed.

  • I'll answer my own question. They want praise!

  • Sooo true. I hate banks.

  • CLASSIC

  • @DFASCo That's what i say classic

  • Actors are after... sex? Wait, that goes for every human being. Ummmmmm..... fame?

  • OMG WHAT ARE ACTORS AFTER?????!!

  • Your all a bit serious the skit is atleast 35 years old for a start, and apart from ATM's banks haven't really gotten any better. The envelope doesn't charge you fees to look after your money either.

  • 20Million dollars for a movie. I know what actors are after.

  • I deposit payroll through the ATM after work (10-midnight for me) and use my checking card for everything. Simple enough! Credit unions are awesome <3

  • 20 people don't understand anything of irritating people!

  • I would like a bank that offers a savings rate above inflation, otherwise whats the point lending the banks money for them to make money and the customer loses in the long term.

  • @casusbelli15 That's not really the point of a bank account. They're not intended to be an investment, just a safer place to put your money than an envelope under your mattress. (And, you don't earn ANY interest in an envelope.)

  • @crazjtk Of course it is. Your bank does not store your money in its safe, it stores it into someone else's pocket. That's why they give you interests.

  • @chiisanawani I know how a bank works. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't look at bank accounts as an investment the same way you would a Roth IRA or a savings bond. Interest on a savings account doesn't keep up with inflation, so the whole idea behind banks is the security they provide, and the fact they earn a LITTLE interest, if not a lot. (5% interest keeps up with 10% inflation a lot closer than 0% will)

  • Ahahah! I'm unemployed, an unhappy customer, so next step I guess will be becoming a bank robber!

  • any1 else see the annoying pixles on the video...?

  • @ownt0wntownt0wnt0wnt dont act so spoiled please

  • Here where I live, banks are now open even on Sunday.

  • @slmacph I think it's a new trend for banks to open in saturday and sunday in some countries. Especially places where it gotlots of business during the weekends.

  • I wanna write to a bank manager right now!

  • What is so wrong with banks opening on Sunday, appart from the fact that customers might actually walk in?

  • @AbuAvital

In England in the 1960s banks used to open on Saturday mornings. I worked for a bank at the time and staff were rostered to work one Saturday morning in three. Later they dropped the service. I went to Australia in 1974 where banks didn't open on Saturday at all. Does anybody know the UK situation now?

  • @patrickcorliss RBS opening hours city centre branch; 9.15-4.45 mon-fri. late night opening thur(19.00)

    and sat 09.00-13.00

  • So what actors are after - it is not really clear for me :). Is there a second part for this vid?

  • 15 people are Bank managers

  • Comment removed

  • very very very very true

  • I own How to Irritate People on DVD. The title is on the back of the casing, the disc has phony fingerprints on it and you can't choose half of the subtitle options. Boy, was I irritated.

  • @Machmedibror Really? If that's true than that's brilliant.

  • @Machmedibror I remember they did something similar with a record they released ages ago. There were two different track sets but only one of them was listed on the case and it was just pure luck which one you got.

  • omg so creepy! "actors are after" and he looks right and dwn, directly at the tab for the how to irritate people-actors sketch!

  • lol my husband was a park national bank /universal teller, mail sorter, router, transit guy-i used to wait for him to go to lunch in the bathroom at the krebs buil, ding(later called john alford) and at uhlman's(used to be called john j carroll's) restroom.

  • …so topical after many decades! Sure this one is 'liked' by David Camaron, George Osborne & Vince Cable

  • 14 people work in a bank.

  • I has a question

  • Actors are there to piss ppl off and irritate them?

  • it's praise. says so at the next sketch

  • banks are bicthes thumbs up if u agree god

  • banks are the real enemy along with multi-national corporations and their directors. We should have a hunting season open year round on all these bastards! Fractional reserve lending is by desinged to make loans that can never be repaid, this is fraud and theft, they all should be shot on sight!

  • @justaman6972 oh....not here.....

  • @vef444 yes here and everywhere this kind of practice goes on . I'm a python fan which is why I came to see this vid but banks are evil ,robbers and theives, and as such should be dealt with accordingly

  • @justaman6972 Really? Can't you just enjoy the sketch?

  • Yes, Screw the banks. Especially the mormons at National Bank of Arizona. They love all their friggin fees...

  • @tekdiveraz

Please tell me you mean morons, as in intellectually disabled people with a mental age of about 6, and not members of the Church of Latter Day Saints.

As for the video... I will never look at bank robbers the same way again.

  • This is so relevant!!! :)

    Love it!

    Love John too!

    Stop the War and Hate.

    Peace and Love mate.

  • yeah, bloody actors!

  • This is still true to this day!

  • Maybe the unemployed and and bank robbers are the same class of persons'.

  • best thing someone told on youtube ever

  • Maybe bankrobbers and those that think the unemployed are criminals are the same class of persons. Sure would make sense for them to want everyone to think its the unemployed.

  • Definitely true!

  • What are actors after? I need to know now.

  • You probably already seen it but watch?v=9aMpcH3kAcA&NR=1

  • no i hadn't seen it, thanks!

  • Actors are after praise for their mediocre job on stage!

  • @Go1For1Gold a lot of their sketches don't have a clue if you mean that. thats the fun

  • @Go1For1Gold bishops lol

  • @Go1For1Gold ass. (coming from an actor)

  • @Go1For1Gold actors are after the money they deposited in the bank, just like everyone else...

  • @Go1For1Gold we want attention.

  • @Go1For1Gold Fame I'd say.

  • @Go1For1Gold Fame?

  • @Go1For1Gold I'm an actor, I get it. Follow his gaze to the woman in the front row. ;)

  • @Go1For1Gold If this post wasn't 2 years old I'd say "making stupid people ask stupid questions" but you're probably dead now so I won't say it.

  • @kurtizzyflush your not funny

  • @Go1For1Gold I'm an actor and I have no idea

  • @Go1For1Gold Pussy?

  • @Go1For1Gold Whores, whores, whores, whores, whores, more whores, and some prostitutes.

  • Comment removed

  • i think natwest has seen thing, i'm thing of satwest.

  • The hours are accustumed to two classes - the unemployed and bankrobbers!

  • what are actors after?? lol good sketch

  • lol

  • This is so true -- especially about bank hours. I worked as a teller and this is so funny due to its accuracy.

  • So you were one of the cleverer tellers who were out at lunch?

  • Every time :)

  • True!

  • @Pamathey I agree, what I liked was his mention of the single teller on duty. This is soooo true at the Navy Federal Credit Union in Oak Harbor Washington. Very funny Laugh Out Loud! I call it a "bottleneck" This sometimes happens in grocery stores too. With long lines and only a few check stands open, frustrating.

  • how fantasticly true, even today!

  • If it were anyone but Cleese I'd assume this was conspiracy theorist drivel.

Which makes it all the more amusing.

  • Beautiful.

  • Well said!!!

  • I love it for being so true XD

  • Very true.

  • So so true! Why do bank cashiers take their lunch break at their busiest time. Bastards

  • Because lunch time is the busiest time? Duh...

  • Oh come on. Everyone knows that lunch-time is relative. Einstein proved it ages ago.

Hence, cashiers should take lunch, perhaps a few at a time, spaced out from 11am till 2pm. That way they wouldn't all be gone at what everyone else perceives as lunch-time.

But to be perfectly honest, I don't think that's the point. John is merely pointing out the irony of the situation, it's a catch 22.
