Ian - Please come home to Austin and play the stuff we all came to know and love here. I have such wonderful memories of you at so many Austin Venues. We miss classic Ian Moore!
IMB Live in Austin and IMB Modernday Folklore are two of my favorite ALL-TIME albums/CDs! Wish we could have more of this quality out of Ian, but without Chris Smith and/or Jeff VanZandt (now with Eric Johnson) as guitar techs, and Michael on drums, Chris White on bass, and last, but by NO MEANS least, Bukka Allen on B3, things just aren't ever going to be the same. Musicians evolve, not alway in the direction that pleases their friends and fans. Jan Mirkin can cash in on what was forever!
Back in the IMB days! HELL, YEAH!!! They all still had their hair (except, maybe, Michael!), and Chris and Bukka (I've loaded that B3 in and out of a tiny back door to and from a stage off a Ryder, and it was SO worth every strained muscel!)added SO much to how it sounded! Brings back some AWESOME memories! Thanks!!!
Thnx So much for posting these vids of Ian-I've booked him a couple times in my lil city and unfortunately the folks were expectin the songs form this era. The ones with open minds were, well, Satisfied. As was I-still cool to hear him rock out. please keep em comin if you have more.
