I dont particulary like her singing but hey there not many ocasions to listen hancock producing a singer in fusion. This disco flavoured funky jazz is the shit
i forgot how good that was when we recorded in Japan may years ago! Please tag my name the musician line-up. THANKS!! MUSICIANS: KIMIKO KASAI -VOCALS HERBIE HANCOCK - KEYBOARDS & VOCODER BENNIE MAUPIN ALPHONSE MOUZON - DRUMS PAUL JACKSON - BASS BILL SUMMERS - PERCUSSION RAY OBIEDO -GUITAR WEBSTER LEWIS - KEYBOARDS (R.I.P.)
@alphonsemouzon you may feel proud amazing piece of music. But as other times Ive seen HH on keys with a singer...its not that shes not good its just that its too dificult to be up to hancock skilss and not end up outshined by the music.I think very few top class singers could share stage with hancok and make the cut.
@alphonsemouzon I am more than sure you guys had a major blast on tour...so many stories to tell. If only I had been born about twenty years earlier. I, myself, am a drummer so I can only imagine groovin' with Roy Ayers Ubiquity. I'm almost jealous...lol
you know what i am going to stop using the star ratings, everytime i give you 5 stars...it doesn't come through or whatever. however i have my eyes on you and your collection mate fk 5, give the man 10
vic that is a mighty compliment, lets just say we might have the same taste, but i think you have a few more tunes! by the way do you know this thing about putting
&fmt=18
on the end of the html webaddress thing to get it in stereo?

This is my type of jam right here! Sounds just a little bit Roy Ayers-ish...although it's not.
