looks absolutely terrible. Use action essentials and lighten up the room. Also, add smoke, and make the flash much much bigger.

Instead of using the explosion thing from detonation films just use a picture and use it for one frame and add smoke. If you want to see what that looks like I did it in one of my videos.

You can make that muzzle flash look more real by adjusting the exposer to make the room brighter when the gun fires like it would do in real life.

hey i have the free trial version of this software, and over all the video i"m editing within the program, there is a big black bar across all the clips, that says "adobe premiere 8 free tiall version" any ideas on how to remove that?

hey also could someon help me out, whenever I select the main tab as shown in 2:55 and start dragging the points, it only drage left and right not up and down. Also once I am done, the light doesnt seem to go away and stays in the same position for the entire clip... can someone help out pleaese?

Ok whatcha do is NOT trim it and make 3 differant clips you go into edit effects and then you click on the lightning and on the right hand side there is this thing called "toggle animation" click on that :)

and then go to the ending of where the gun has been shot and just move the lightniung to that posistion and Voila MOVING lightning :)

u can copy and paste.

click edit effects and click on the lightning effect until you see 2 markers on on the lightning in the main window and copy.

hmm do u mean the "clip" in the effects panel or a piece of video?

I think the effect "clip" is just using the same method as lightning.

and with a piece of video you click on it in the timeline until it goes purple and either edit- copy- paste or ctrl c and ctrl p.

Yes, those files do work with Adobe Premiere Elements. My guess is that something's probably wrong with your computer (or the files you're trying to use are corrupted).

Does your library have cds you can rent out . Mine does and they have alot of sound effect cd's . Just rent em out and rip the cds for the soundeffects . Or you can buy them online .

Excellent concept to use the lightning. To make it more realistic, look at a slow-motion replay of a real muzzle flash and adjust the color to match. And if I'm not mistaken, the muzzle flash will probably only last 1 or 2 frames at the most.

Five stars for using something like Premiere Elements to do something previously unattainable without much more expensive software.

When you're moving the start and end points around, you don't have to drag the numbers. Click in the middle of the lightning tab and it should turn black. After that you can just drag the start and endpoints to where you want them.
