  • Great video, really atmospheric and beautiful; I like the way the lights are reflected on the railway track. Thanks for posting - love steam trains!

  • They should replace it for an EMU.

  • Man, never seen a steamer take off that fast before.

  • EXCELLENT!!!

  • My daughter LOVES these "choo choo" videos, she's 2 and makes me play them everyday. Thanks and please keep posting them

  • @RaeDubose the same here too. Eventually i do more choo choo than the steam engine. More than my daughter, I love them too and I love watching her enjoy the choo choo, and they horn. Gosh these steam engine trains are so graceful. I wish my daughter could travel in one of them somewhere in the world.

    Car: "Honk honk*

    Train: "Choo-choo"

  • Awesome

  • Great Picture! I could feel the cold coming right out of the picture! Well Almost! Thanks for sharing!

  • ...picture post-card photography...

  • From 0:00 to 1:00, aside from the cars.... It all looks like someone's track layout.

  • heh british steam engines depart better lol. See tornado depart omfg

  • Love this. Whistle sounds much like that on early steam locos in NZ.

  • Love this. Whistle sounds much like that on early steam locs in NZ.

  • Magical!

  • warum antworten hier eigentlich nur amis?!

  • Do tank engines ALWAYS pull trains bunker first in Germany?

  • @ExcaliburLink Nope. 50% forward, 50% backward (round about). It's just because there isn't a turntable at every lines end.

  • @TheGondorian man I must agree this one of the best HSB videos I have seen haveing seen it like this last year to me Germany was Magical in Snow if not Cold as Hell LOL

  • I beg to differ. It's good, I like it, but not the best. For a start it's setting off downhill - they sound better attacking the Brocken. Further, I personally prefer a further-back position as you get a better view of the loco for longer. but keep up the good work, I'm glad they are still there to be filmed!

  • How I wish I was in Germany once again...

  • @TheGondorian= Good work. I love the lighting. It's like a video Christmas card. I also love how smooth the train moves. No clickety clacks from the rails. Once again, good work.

  • great camera angle , love the horn :)

  • Soooo beatiful!!!!

  • Yes, great run by! Nice start up indeed. The horn duel is good too! Nice little touch. But the best sound of this loco is its steam sound, the really nice and clear chuff, chuff, chuff!

  • That's magical.

  • cool

  • @TheGondorian man Drei Annen Hohne is pretty in the evening snow we didnt get up there in the evening time we did however ride the last segment of the HSB line in the evening we left a standred gauge station after arriving there on a former DR 2-10-0 where the narrow gauge comes in and most of the ride was in darkness I do remember the first half of it used to be standred gauge and HSB rebuilt it to narrow gauge

  • jeez he/she was brave!!

  • Coca Cola Werbung style finde ich!

  • Very cool! In the US there is an excursion railroad that does that in the summertime. They dont run in the winter though because there are no tourists and the weather is very harsh. But its cool because in the summer they move a lot of passengers and freight and they still use old steam locomotives. Its called the Cumbres and Toltec

  • Very nice! Musueum/excursion train I am assuming?
