I think if they actually used the dialogue from the book, rather than try to revamp it, then this ending might have worked out pretty well. (And also if they included the part when the police and TV crew came as well, would have completed the scene better.)

I like both endings. This one because of the real 'happy end' feeling when you see how Kyle's image on people has changed. But I prefer the other because it seems less 'rushed'. (The saving scene and tension could've been better...)

omg this is much better then the other ending. it is a bit corny but i actually get the beauty and the beast theme here. i liked how the flowers off his arm were used in his transformation and how certain lines were used from the book. =)

I can see WHY they didn't keep this one because it's a little too cheesy but it must've been a big debate on if they should because this is how the book ended. I would've wanted an ending like this if the dialogue was better.

theres a book? *blinks* interesting. im a huge fan of the "Beauty and the Beast" story in all its forms, so ill probably have to look for that. as for Beastly, i daresay i like this ending better. its closer to the original fairy tale, at any rate, and theres more depth to this sequence than i remember from the cinematic version. the dude getting out of jail and coming back for revenge or whatever seems a bit contrived, but thats really the only issue i have with it
