It was also rediculous for Matthews to claim that a person who is against war has the right to kill people more than a racist. Both are wrong, and Ayers isn't just anti-war; he's anti-American. "This society is not a just and decent place . . . We're living in a country where the election was stolen, and we didn't have a mass uprising. It's incredible. We're all asleep. Chris Matthews in 2002 called Phil Donahue anti-American, and now he's claiming that Obama hanging around with Ayers isn't a problem? ''I don't regret setting bombs,'' Bill Ayers said. ''I feel we didn't do enough.'' That is the quote, and either way he is unrepentant about what he did to this day, regardless if he wished he did more, even though the quote reads that Ayers wishes he did more bombings. You don't have the right to kill innocent people just because you disagree with a war.
