Can Bruce Carter come in and provide the spirited, energetic youthful presence we need at the other LB position? I hope so. Our older LB's are good but really cannot put up a full season anymore. If we can preserve them during the year, decrease the wear and tear. The cut them lose like dogs of war. WoW. Only 3 games a lot more to play. The Lions are really tough. look out. Like a lotta you guys, i was and still am behind romo and the cowboys. It's not a pretty win, but with so many mental errors and a W at that proves that Dallas is in it for the long run. I really think Dallas will make it to the playoffs this year.
And though we won, remember when we were all screaming for a 3rd WR and some of us said, 'It'll be ok'? Well last night we saw how empty we are behind Austin and Bryant. Bryant is still a little raw and everyone behind him on the depth chart is clueless. Good talent in spots but I'll take a route runner over a speedster any day of the week and last night showed in a big way why that's important. Doesn't matter how fast or how strong you are if you can't get open or be in the right spot.
One thing I was really proud of, and I think it might have gone a little unnoticed, is how much Garret and by extension we can trust our defense now. Still some tweaking to be done but when it was late and we had 4th and 7, Garret thought about going for it. And in the past I would have thought that was the only way we could win. But this time I was screaming for the punt, 1 TO later and they punted trusting the defense to do its job. Been a while since we could do that. That's an improvement.

This win is more than just a ordinary victory by the Cowboys. This win is a confirmation that Tony Romo have in officially taking on this leadership role and being a field general that quality mature quarterbacks need to have in football . He's being a leader and that's something we've never seen from him before this game. He improvised this team throughout the game and that's why this game was so special.

Alan Ball sucks! He can't cover to save his life, he made one great tackle in the open field. Doug Free seems to me like a waste of money this offseason, he did not block his man whatsoeva. That was a great win though, probably the best Cowboys game I have ever seen where we didnt score a touchdown. Bryant is still a little raw and everyone behind him on the depth chart is clueless. One thing I was really proud of, and I think it might have gone a little unnoticed, is how much Garret and by extension we can trust our defense now. Still some tweaking to be done but when it was late and we had 4th and 7, Garret thought about going for it. And in the past I would have thought that was the only way we could win. But this time I was screaming for the punt, 1 TO later and they punted trusting the defense to do its job. Been a while since we could do that. That's an improvement.

Some of those things Romo did, scooping up the ball on those horrible snaps when they could have been redskins fumble recoveries...not only running down the snap that went behind him but then actually turning it into a two yard completion...WOW! What Tony did out there in terms of how he commanded is what Brady, and Peyton and Drew and Rivers and all them boys do. He COMMANDED. That was a leader. He has to stay playable though, that Lions D with Fairley coming back... But don't want to think about that right now.
Great job by D. So far everything that people thought Rob was gonna do, is happening.
Oh and DeAngello Hall... Dez gave him a pretty clear answer...
