  • The Tittle of This Song Is: "NEARER MY GOD TO THEE"

i knew it because i found the song in my Organ, and I Used to Played it.

  • Bruce Ismay was a coward.

  • i dont know why but im always scared of those old videoz...but this is bih part of history

  • What a painful destiny her departure was delayed for a month because an other ship had to be repaired. And the iceberg came across....

  • how the hell did they sneak a video camera back in 1912?those things were the size of tanks then...

  • @pmic2011 hey probably would have put u in a mental institution.

  • i cried. so touching.... whats the song called. its so beautiful

  • I wish i could do what pmic2011 wants to do, It was so beautiful. Sometimes I wonder if Im a reancarnation of someone on the Titanic. All my friends arent as imterested as I am in the Titanic.

  • Anybody watch this in 1911 mode?

  • @psychokinrazalon You bet your ass.

  • Is it just according to historians that this is the only known footage of Titanic? Is it also according to historians that the film of Captain Smith is the only known footage? How far into the footage (what time) does the Unsinkable Molly Brown appear?

  • awsome find :D Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • @sphe1101 Nearer thy God, to thee. I don't remember who wrote or composed it.

  • 20 boats got the SOS and only 1 came.I just want to cry when I hear this song, watch the movie or even see photos.

  • its really sad :(

  • if they had went strait in to the iceberg they wouldnt hav sank

  • @SuperNiqqa2469

no they still would have just not as quickly

  • Thank you for the video. Now I feel how the tragedy struck that night.

  • @sphe1101 It's called "Nearer my god to thee". Many people reported that right before the ship sank, the quartet played this as their last song together...

  • Amazing how celtic music seems to be the language of shipwrecks on YouTube.

  • Such a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing.

  • @meankookoo I'd enjoy putting a bullet in Hitler's head.

  • nice footage

  • It days the great Molly brown wAsn't found on any of the boats. Se survived the titanic and die from a brain tumour later on. And I seen a comment about times are better now than they were then to do with class types. Wrong right there. People get shot for wearing the wrong colour. Times were better then than now. Atleast people had respect for one another. Not now

  • esta muy bueno lastima q no entendi una mierda gracias

  • @leannda1962 I am 22 years old and I agree 110% with you. I was definitely born in the wrong generation, wish I could have been alive in the times where having morals mattered..

  • @homegirl44 i agree with you sound like me i wish i was born in thet time everybody seem to care and look after each other we had manners we respected the elderly and more important we had respect for ourselfes.

  • @gaza371 Rose colored glasses my friend (no pun intended), leave out the sexism, racism and loads of other things.......

  • @homegirl44 I loved the period of time, that and the Victorian Age. I love the clothes and there was manners, and respect towards all those that were around you at the time. Children didn't speak out of turn, and knew their manners, respected their elders.

  • I wish this had never happened... So many lives were lost...

    Great video though! =D

  • im glad the cameras we use now are so high definition then the 1910's

  • My grand mom had some photos of the titanic. Sadly some one else missed place the photos. The photos were taking from a very old book.

  • This is the last song a lot of people heard before the big girl went down,The hymme is called.NEARER MY GOD TO THEE.

  • This song is so sad

  • song has a great introduction!.. Its james horner right ?

  • i wish i lived in those times....fuck todays world

  • @479cdrp479 no way id hate to live in those times, especially if u were NOT of any wealth!! I cudnt live there!! No way todays world is better, no upper class lower class crap... all are equal, & i like it!!

  • @dakotahodges We live in a equal society? I don't think so.

  • Hey, what is happening at 4.25 - 4.30? Is that a man passing out or something? He is in the back on the far right standing next to another man who supports him when he falls over. He is shown again very briefly at 4.40. Can anyone tell me what is happening to this man?

  • @Psyche1230 looks like it

  • I love the editing of these film bits. Kudos to you!

  • I'm not trying to be clever, but if I was the captain or a member of the control crew I would not only have 'all-stopped' the engines after hitting the icebergs , I would've then reversed the ship back to as near as possible to the icebergs. That way more people would have survived - there would be a good chance that people could clamber on top of them instead of freezing to death in the freezing water.

  • my mom's friend has a chair from the titanic

  • @1997toyotalover a chair????????!!

  • I wonder how it would sink if it didn't hit the iceberg?

  • @sniperman003 mabey it wouldnt sink...

  • why does every video of the real Titanic have to have the music from the 1997 film from James Cameron...i don't understand!

i think it would be better if someone could find some genuine 1912 music as a background for these movie clips....i think that would be much better!

    apart from that...good video!

  • my grandmother and my aunt survived the sinking on the titanic. were 2nd class passengers. grandomther lived into her 90.s. and my aunt into her 80.s// women of great courage. they were travelling alone. R Mellenger/ and the aunts grave stone near WELLAND ontario shows her having saild on it. nice music here. but not what the orchestra last playes acording to the ladies/

  • u did nt show anything

  • 2:14 to 2;16 a lovely side view of Oylimpic notice the open promenade decks from front to rear followed at 2:17 to 2:20 by a great up close view of the closed in promenade decks of the Titanic , The ships are Identical on the outside except for this feature.

  • Um - no, it's not the "only film in existance". There's more film taken of her still being constructed, and you can see"Titanic" (not super clearly, but you can see it) on her bow, and not picked out in white, either, like some old purported photos.

  • In the cemetery near me, there are 5 graves of people who were passengers on the Titanic. Some died on it & some died later. No mention of Titanic is on any of their graves so no morbid souvenir robbers will be tempted to disturb the graves. Nearly all of the graves, not counting the ones buried by number in Canada, have any mention of Titanic on them at all. To protect the graves from being disturbed for various purposes. R.I.P. God rest you all.

  • thats not titanic in all of these clips...not enough smoke stacks...just saying....

  • Thank you for sharing, absolutely wonderful!!!!! Whether its the Olympic or not, still phenomenal... :) White Star Line built the utmost elegance of the sea and it has since never been the same, before or after.

    <3

  • that could also be the Olympic because her sister ship looks like her

  • thank you, JazzJohn.....that was appropriate.....

  • Ugh is it just me... but why hasnt anyone (especially bonehead cameron) shown us the "TITANIC" letters inscribed on the hull of the ship???

Another thing.. why not make a brand new full scale (this time HIGH-TECH) replica of the TITANIC?

DO I HAVE TO THINK OF ALL THESE THINGS MYSELF GODDAMN IT!!!!

  • the song name is Nearer My God to Thee..awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

it's the last song that played in Titanic

  • suberb simply suberb but couldn;t get away from her destiny,in the heart of atlantic.sad sad sad

  • coul someone tell me what's the song's name=)?

  • Nice but in 2:08 sec isn't real TITANIC .TITANIC not had this decks.

This part is from Some Titanic movies before James Camerons TITANIC

  • biggsr06 ude getta life man sad, emotional wtf r u doing on here go rent da movie instead

  • @djcountry1985 it did break in half they have found the ship and it was in two piece also the suvivors said they saw it split.

  • Beautiful....absolutely beautiful... I really got choked up watching this.. I have the movie and it really gets me every time. Thank you for uploading this video..everybody needs to see this. It's Sad, Beautiful, Emotional.

  • that was the most depressing three minutes of my day

  • dang...

    2:05

all those people waving so happily and so excited to see what's inside the big ship

but then in a matter of days, most of them have died

    :'(

  • too bad they couldn't pick a different font so that we could acctually read what they wrote

  • A wonderful piece - thank you. A shame on Hollywood that they felt necessary to make that dreadful fim with Winslett and Di Caprio, The story of the Titanic did not require the "flowering up" that film provided.

  • @adminelf

Thank God I'm not the only one with that opinion :P

  • where do i get that sonGGGGGG???? "(

  • @EricaLolitaBlack look on the 1997 titanic movie soundtrack

  • this song always kills me every time i hear it ...

  • Господи - ну сколько же чуши в интернете!

Все это есть в инете и в отличном качестве!

  • Because It is believed that that was the last song the band played as the ship was sinking, therefore, it's very appropriate.

  • This really touches my heart even tho ima boy but it does because all those people that was in it have died and i feel really bad for the Titanic and those people as well! RIP Titanic! You will be miss everyday!

  • i wish i had a time machine like a flying delorean so i can go back in time and warn the crew of what was going to happen

  • But if you did that, the Titanic would not sink, so why then would you need to go back in time to warn a vessel it's not going to sink?

  • if you did that we wouldnt have SOLAS (saftey of life at sea) and todays shipping would not be as safe as it is its sad to say but theres always got to be a big fuck up to get anything done and for the shipping industry this was it R.I.P titanic

  • yeah!so then the tragedy wouldnt of happened and loads of people wouldnt of died.

  • @pmic2011 they wouldnt have listened to you. all of the ice warnings the Titanic received on that fateful Sunday were ignored. No binoculars in the crow's nest, a new crew that although were experienced seaman with many years in service, that was unfamiliar with her and how she handled. The most astonishing thing in my mind is, had they simply ran into the iceberg bow forward, it would probably still be afloat today. Mother nature is always more powerful than us regardless of technology

  • @pmic2011 That would have helped those who were on board but it would be bad because you would be changing the course of history making the futue difficult to understand of mistakes.

You would be giving kudos to science for building a time machine and going back in time lol! :)

  • @pmic2011 Yeah... same me... just tell them to watch out for... aaah... this made me sad. :-(

  • @pmic2011 You wouldn't want to do that. Warning the people involved in this disaster would change the world in a very negative way. The Titanic disaster needed to happen. The modern world could not have evolved without it.

  • @pmic2011 but if the disaster wouldnt have happend, think off all the shipboard improvements that wouldnt have been made

  • @pmic2011 While I understand and often share your sentiment behind this comment...There are times when out of great tradgedy come great change...had Titianic not sunk The maritime laws may still be the same...So for that reason I would never interfere with history...But yes it would be amazing to travel back in time and see her...I wouldn't book a ticket though.

  • @pmic2011 agree but remember this if the titanic wasn't sink all the security thing we have now will maybe not there to save us and worst the titanic will die just like her sister in a scrapyard and her name will be forgot forever and I will never find that book which make me discover that greatest liner ever in december 1992 few days before a I got 10 years old

more me back in the past will be only to take pictures and film the titaniic

  • @pmic2011 Would they listen?

  • @pmic2011 then you wouldn't post here, then the video wouldn't be posted at all, then no one would ever know titanic, and no one would give a **** about it. instead we would see the james cameron's movie called ''Queen mary'' because that ship wouldn't be fitted with enaugh lifeboats then. s.o.l.a.s. didn't exist for then. and another ship would take place for a tragic disaster.

  • @pmic2011 as ignorant as they were about the warnings of the iceberg that ultimately killed them all, sadly they probably wouldnt have listened...

  • @pmic2011, i know. me too. Only if I could change the past of the "unsinkable"

  • @danichaves1011 but there for changing today as well in ways that may lead to you not existing

  • @pmic2011 Yes but if u did they would not hav made iceburg prouf ships

  • @pmic2011 why bother, if u was to warn them, the incident would never occur and u would never show interest on a ship called titanic, the tradegy on 1912 which attracts more interest than the ship itself.

  • @pmic2011 yes and they would arrest you and put you in a padded cell!

  • @pmic2011 they will send you to therapy xD

  • @pmic2011 better yet save even more people by meeting them at the sinking point and give more lifeboats

  • @pmic2011 But they would prob think your crazy! Not to be rude!

  • @pmic2011 excerpt from the log of captain Edward John Smith dated 14 April 1911

''i have altered my course to escape this strange shining object which has appeared to follow this vessel for the last hour or so, taking us much farther north than i would normally care to go.

i have never seen the like of this flying contraption before but it is similar to the space vehicles of H.G Wells 'War of the Worlds' i would rather kill us all than surrender to these godless martians''

  • thats such a moving tune. the band were so brave, infact, most of them were who died until the end. god bless them all

  • what? most of them were who died until the end.?

  • um marshanuta, or whatever u r um u think a video thats like a hundred years old is gonna be perfect and clear umm noo

  • thank you for this rare footage

  • i bet someday tha will b found

  • very nice video but dont you think the comments should be showed more clearly and slowly,so that everyone could read them???

  • There was a real necklace that was called the Heart of the Ocean.

  • I Got My Mom A Replica One For Christmas '07 Looks Just As Good.

  • Hi . Please tell me what is this music? Composer , title etc. Thanks

  • james horner

  • The title of the song is "Nearer, My God, to Thee", composed its music by Sarah F. Adams (1805-1848) and music by Lowell Mason (1792-1872). I have heard that musicians who weren left at the Titanic plated this beautiful hymn, I'd like to confirm that. Your friend!.

  • How heartbreaking it must have been for the families waiting to hear word of their loved ones. I also cannot believe that someone stole the plaque Dr. Ballard placed at the site Titanic sank. This clip made me cry. Titanic, nor the people who went down with her, can never be replaced. <3

  • only on clip of the titanic on film was ever filmed, this is the olimpic

  • your wrong the television wasnt invented until the late 1930s early nineteen fortys

    the telephone did exisit though.

  • Maybe not, but camera's did exist those days.

  • No there wasn't and niether was there a Heart of the Ocean.

  • i dont know if this is an authentic film taken on 1911

  • The first part is original.only known footage of RMS Titanic.

  • Nice presentation. Thanks for posting

  • arrive.RAISE HELL.leave

  • were they hand cranked film cameras?

  • The last survivor of the Titanic passed away just recently. I believe that she was just 8 months old when it sank.

  • What action did Pres. Woodrow Wilson take after the sinking? (Didn't he became U.S president in 1911?)

  • ...not got it on the blu-ray...?

  • Omg where there cameras in those Days?? Shit that was SO long ago..i mean there wasnt tv in the 30's well then how did they get a cemra at 1911??? SHIT!

  • They used film cameras back then!

  • no tv, yes cinema.

    :)

  • Look in youtube Barcelona 1908. Incredible quality!

  • they had tv's but only rich people could afford them because they were so much money

  • television didn't exist really until the 30's and 40's. radio would have been just taking off as a means of media

  • epic. history. fail.

  • the titanic will never be forgotten as will the crew and passengers who died that night most importantly the captain.

  • the titamic will never be forgotten as will the crew and passengers who died that night. :(

we would have tore it up !!!!!!!

    HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE !!!!!!!!!!

    ramon el

  • bravo!!!!!! well done! Anne

  • Stupid iceberg killed her along with her kids.

  • Hey guys what do you think about the hypothesis that suggests the Titanic being the Olympic and the Olympic that continued its service until 1935 was the Titanic, with the nameplates changed?

  • weak

  • I noticed you said the iceberg hit at 11.40p.m. on Sunday 15/4/12, wasn't it Saturday 11:40 on 14/4/12?

  • Comment removed

  • it was sunday april 14th 1912.

  • oasis of the sea

  • alsobt das echte aufnahmen sind außerdem ist die RMS Titanic 1912 losgefahren und nicht 1911

  • ...although Marconi was no hero... He was a theif, who stole his technology from Nikola Tesla... Other than that small misconception, this film was breathtaking...

  • been waiting since 1985 to see a film like this. thanks for sharing.

  • Also seen is authentic footage of the Mackay-Bennett, which sailed out of Halifax , Nova Scotia, Canada being chartered by the undertakers ( morticians ) acting for the relatives of the deceased, in a quest to find and preserve bodies recovered from the sinking location in the North Atlantic where crew and passengers perished.

  • read the descripiton... the producers of this film also included period film of the construction of her elder sister, R.M.S.Olympic whose keel was laid in 1908 and the ice flows from 1912 to give viewers an insight of what the origin of Titanic was like and the environment during her tragic collision accident with an iceberg at 11.40p.m. on Sunday 15/4/12.

  • 2:30 is not the Titanic

  • this is a very sad time in history may we never forget rest in peace

  • tudo foi vontade de Deus na vida destas pessoas que Deus denha mizericordia delas aonde elas estiver este hino que esta sendo tocado no violino e mais perto quero esta meu Deus de ti este e nome da musica e linda

  • a ship.. floating to death

  • i thought last time there no camere

  • After the death of her cinema projectionist husband in England, his widow discovers in her garden shed a rusting canister below his work bench which contains authentic period newsreel film ( which appeared to have been forgotten ) of the R.M.S.Titanic at rest in her engraving ( fitting out ) dock in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1911 shortly after she had been launched there on 31/5/11.

  • I seen a few years back on how that lady found her husband's reel and it had Titanic on it - I was hoping to one day see it. So few footage of the real Titanic b4 she sank - thank-you for sharing. I enjoyed watching it.

  • good 1 this is realy goood its puts me down 10 out of 10

  • how powerfull the music is 0:00 - 0:36

  • There was color film aback then but it was primitive compared to what is used today.

this is an interesting film ah well!

  • it wasnt crews fault the harded to port but it was too close for them to port round it they put full speed(Made it worst)

But she hit taking most of the crew and passengers with her

  • i always watch this youtube i so very i so beautiful i always sad to all of the people in the ship if they know what what happen to them..,! _T_T ., R.I.P to all the people die i the terable mistake of the crew.., but god is always make a plan to all of us..,

god bless to all.., think positive to all the problem to ner the future..,

  • Too bad there was no color film back then. Then again the grainy black & white does add to the mystique about that ship.

  • some one should colorise it

  • Nah not really, it won't be the original then...that's what makes it so special

  • Its weird looking back at this.wish there would have been more authentic footage of the interier of the boat ..etc would have been great to look back at..don't think anyone captured it on film sadly. This part of history always makes me sad theres just something very magical about this whole time and just the very mention of the titatic strikes up something in me! such an interesting topic which i love and that song: 'nearer my god to thee' gets me everytime.thanks for posting this
