i wonder if the myocardium is edible. after all, it called the sodium/potassium/calcium pump. the left ventrical is the main chamber of the myocardium which overall equates to our overall SV or ejection fraction. i would skin the epicardium, the layer that cause cardiac temponade in traumatic injuries.
i meant the pericardium, which is a fibrous sac that surrounds the heart. in traumatic injuries... the pericardium fill with fluid or blood causing the heart to pump less effeciently.
