God how many times are they going to repeat the same thing? Now they are using a RC helicopter for science? We have flown over this spot for years now! These lines were not built by the Nasca IMO.
You are completely right. We do not need hi-tech for that. Just draw a line from the Sphinx (Giza) to Ahu-Tongariki (Easter Island). It pass exactly over the Nazca Astronaut, which faces Easter Island. Just follow the hands of the Astronaut and the mystery is solved. Astronaut and Palpa Hummingbird are equidistant from Condor, facing oposite direction and suggesting the rotation of 72.5 degrees. Lines are straight over mountains for triangulation, doh! visite geekglyph.
What a big imagination! Primitive practices..LOL. Like the Great Pyramid, Nazca is being attacked. It is a very complex 3D Geometry, fully appreciated from far above the ground. It is not an isolated phenomenon...Atacama Giant, the Candelabro de Paracas, the Serpent Mound and so on. So trying to relate Nazca to primitive local people makes no sense . Refuse these BS (basic sense) explanations and continue to dream about it. Visit my site geekglyph .
There is scientific proof that meskins and other central and south american primative cultures were practicing cannibalism as recent as 300 years ago. And they haven't changed much since then. Just look at the recent savagery in juarez and tijuana.
Keeping the skulls of dead family members has been known throughout the world, sort of like keeping their ashes. It is still done by some Voudun sects. So sick of hearing these biased archeologist always implying human sacrifice when they come across burial sites of indigenous people. So stupid already. By the way a sitting skeleton reminds me of Buddhist monks or lamas who die sitting up, while meditating, after choosing their time of death, the skull falls off the family keeps it.
@TaniaGuerrera I agree. Our ancestors weren't stupid. Members of society who survived to adulthood would have been highly valued. I don't think that they would have been willy nilly sacrificed all the time. It's partially the fault of documentaries though trying to sound dramatic though lol. Sure, there probably was some sacrifice, but not every other day.
Stop being grateful! It is so enerving, but "It could have been worse". Just kidding! The point is, ahg337, they found some heads and some body without heads. So what? Before there were no machine guns and people to scare each other in the batles had an advantage by portraying themselves as cruel (like count Dracula). It was just a mechanism to keep power in theocratic societies (kinda Atomic Bomb). Do not let it blow your head up, it is just non-sense. visit GeekGlyph.
The head is hiding from all NG BS. Common sense that American Archeology has to be bloody to be acceptable. It is a way to justify the Genocide a la Mel Gibson.
Right! Some heads here and there are nothing compared to Columbus triggered mass extermination. The lines has nothing to do with that. Plus Nazca pottery has nothing to do with the lines (just because of a stupid whale, that is not even a whale). The proof is that the Atakama Giant is Nazca like as well as the band of Holes. Maybe they were digging holes for the heads... hehehe. Visit GeekGlyph and u know wha 'm talkn''bout.
It is easy! They just draw the spiral. Then they start marching on it cutting some heads here and there. Then they discovered it was on quicksand. hehehe.
Wow! We have so much technology and we still cannot figure out how people lives so long ago. Amazing. I cannot wait to learn more about the Nasca people by National Geographic.

If the head is missing, was it mounted on top of the tomb instead of in it?
