Really loved this band... Not sure why this particular cut really caught my attention, but a really good band deserves to be heard all the way through.. Great band from the great white north..
4:20 - I love that album cover...illustrated by one of MAD Magazine's artists (Mort Drucker, I think), and picturing the band as hockey players celebrating a big win...that's quintessentially Canadian right there.
And the music's fantastic, too. Truly "prairie soul" music.
All Americans can keep their fucking shitty climate. Your tornadoes and hurricanes and terrible earthqaukes and drought stricken Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas you dumb bastards. Your crocodiles , Rats and Cockroaches can eat you balls and the Mexican men that EASILY escape through your sloppy assed border patrol system can rape your women. Or at least I hope so. You NO TALENT ASS CLOWNS!........
@tommusicfan19 We learn in kindergarten to share, and we are willing to share winter. Really, we don't mind sending you some of our snow and cold! :)
BTW: As we drove to Medicine Hat a few days ago, we listened to a live CD from the Guess Who, which started with Runnin' Back to Saskatoon. We'd have screamed along with the lyrics, but there were kids sleeping or listening to an iPhone in the back seat.
@tommusicfan19 It snowed a couple of weeks ago, the snow mostly melted, and now people's sidewalks are slippery with ice. And I fell on someone's icy sidewalk on the way to the grocery store just now. You sure you don't want some of our winter? I can arrange for there to be no export duty on the dam- er, wonderful fluffy stuff.
@N1inSK Well i'm sure we will eventually get a large amount of snow eventually. For as long as I've been here where I live at which is like 20 years I've never seen almost all grass going into December. I live about 2-3 away from the Canadian border in Minnesota/North Dakota.
canada sucks. its too cold all winter, in the summer the days are too hot and there are shit tons of mosquitos in the evenings. 99 percent of anything media is from the states so we are just as stupid as a public and we just re-elected yet another right wing pigeon from outer space
@MegaBesomeone In spite that i'm American I live about 3-4 hours from the border, only been up in Manitoba for a short while but it seems like a pretty nice country.
omg the last part of "share the land" gives me the goosebumps!!! please tell me more songs like "share the land" not particly guess who but songs like that!!!
I am from Upstate NY, 30 miles from the Canadian border. Ive been to Canada on many occasions and I liked it very much. Of all the Canadians I met, ony two were assholes. (Had to ask 'em if they wanted to sep outside, they didn't)
Great rockin' song... Brings me back to my childhood in Detroit, where the Guess Who fortunately received lots of airplay! Lightfoot, Guess Who, and BTO are really important to many of us Michiganders. "Paramount" is flat-out one of the best live rock recordings by ANY group. And thanks to all of you for answering the racist clown with such intelligence and patience... Love Canada and Canadians!
You ass! What a rude and truely american thing to say. They're called aboriginal Canadians! And, for your information, its "god damned" if you're going to TRY to be a total dick at least be educated about it. You're not impressing anyone.
@spellbindinglunacy99 im not trying ti inpress anyone. im jsut sayinf saskatoon has problems like any other city. and most of are problems are from fukin indians

@blackwolf1956 im in second year at the U of S. strange that indians get so many more scholarships and opportunities but they still decide to fill up the jails instead of going to school.
What would you do if your children were forcefully taken from your home, hen made to attend a school, where they were beaten, starved and raped. (By the Priests & Nuns who were supposed to take care of them) Take away the land you lived on, forced you to speak a Foreign language. And if you practiced your Customs & Ceremonies, were promptly arrested & thrown in jail ?
Tell me " Mr. peeonthecree " how would you react to this today, if that were to happen to you ?
No, it's narrow minded assholes like you that have no understanding or compasion for what happened to the Native peoples of North America when the Europeans came here and took by force what they wanted. You seem to put yourself above everyone else, why is that ? Bcos your White ? Are you more supeior than non - Whites ?
@blackwolf1956 no but im supeior than you. every race has went throught there shit but indians have been the ones to hold grudges and bitch the most. and ur a prime example of this
