  • I can't understand but they are so funny

This speed of the golden age and the number of materials are terrible. It is like a stand-up comedy of [takeshi]. After 30 years the two-beat's comic dialogue is the still highest shine. The Two-Beat is the highest funny team in the history of Japanese comic dialogue.

  • @bariwh55 - don't translate すごい as "terrible" in this context. What you mean is "awesome". "Terrible" implies 悪い, which I don't think is what you mean! ;)

  • Ah now I understand.

Watching Gaki No Tsukai when Endo and that guy had to imitate Beat Takeshi in the Hospital Batsu. The other guy randomly starts going "Kiyoshi!". It was funny but I didn't understand the background of the joke. Now it makes sense lol

  • @Ogknav - LOL! Glad you made the connection and derived happiness from it.

Japan can be a baffling and often maddeningly confusing culture (like any other major world culture) with a series of subtexts and subcultures that take time to assimilate and contextualize.

But once done - at least at one or even a couple levels - the entire scheme of things begins to make sense. Japan is a wonderfully consistent culture with a magnificently bewildering, austere predictability - you have to unlock it.

  • i dont understand a word of this but it reminds me of the 'whose on first' skit by abbott and costello lol

  • Woops ! he said so in Paris Match within a couple of years behind now. well, or I could even made a huge French mistake, I don't have a dictionery with me right now.

  • @costino22 well, he said that in japan, plus I read so at Paris watch.

  • Who's Kitano "Beat" Takeshi ?

  • @prettyboyheechul on the left

  • @WifiClubz thanks!

  • @prettyboyheechul

one of the most famous comedians in Japan, probably on the same caliber as bill cosby

  • O genki des ka. Wa tashi wa Hamza san. I love Takeshi Kitano and dream to go to Nippon. He is a very amazing artist. Any idea's how I can find way's to stay with family out in japan and learn japanese. I would rather go their and get a small job teaching english or cleaning as long as im in nippon I dont mind.Love you guy's/Gal's

  • @ryukenb2k

Reading this reflects how I feel 100% lol

  • as a comedian,he changed what the comedies used to be.made the comedies more exciting and fun.his friend ryuichi sakamoto calls him a genious.a french actor alain delon calls takeshi movies as film noir au japon and love them, especially solatine.

  • @kenichisaitohchenii no it's wrong alain delon didn't like sonatine and said :" takeshi is an "only one emotion actor""

  • most americans know beat takeshi from his popular world weary mobster movies, so seeing him in a LOL-able sketch com show is probably pretty surprising. but a lot of cinema maestros came from humble beginnings as comic duos. jim jarmusch and jim varney were the two jims, in germany herzog and fassbinder were known as the wacky werner brothers, and although not a duo, woody allen got his start dabbling in stage magic.

  • im japanese.even for me its too fast to hear it.

  • wow

    subtitles would be nice

  • it's weird seeing kitano when he's not kicking someone down the stairs.

  • I would laugh if my nihongo was better!

  • Damn beat looked differentvwhen he was young

  • @supatoker420 He suffered a BAD motorbike accident. It disfigured his face. That is the face we see in Fireworks.

  • no im saying it's funny to see him when he was young :)

and yea, i know, half his face is paralyzed....pretty sad

  • Geez i speak alot of Japanese But

They talk so Fast, thats why saying Motto yukuri hanashite kudasai comes in Handy

    "Please speak more slowly"

  • Takeshi fans are all surprised or shocked looking young Takeshi

  • yes.. i did understand.. almost the laugh of the peaple ... thats it... i think.. Ciao

  • My God he is talking very fast!I really admire HIM and we have a lot of his movies and a few of his books here in America.

  • And at least one TV show, kind of! ("Right you are, Ken!")

I just finished watching "A Scene At The Sea." It's hard to imagine something so leisurely-paced and subtle coming from the same mind.

  • I prefer Shiba Inu.

  • I wish it was subbed :( ... thx anyway :)

  • what ?

  • i definatly agree with you although i cannot speak japanese

  • i love take-chan

  • when is he going to draw a machine gun???

  • Why won't kitano let him talk?

  • Kitano oO!

  • VERY GOOD!

  • TAKESHI KITANO, the great comedian. lol.

  • I wish I spoke Japanese.

  • bakayaro, koyubi-ga nee-kara famburu shichatta (1:27) LOLLZZ

  • kitanosan sonna ni hayaku hanasu no kaa :)

  • thay talking too fast.... 1. i can't understand 2. can't speak Japanese xD rofl

  • Ehm... I didn't understand...

  • this is why they sould teach japanese at school

  • Where are my damn subs? I can't understand Japanese.

  • OMG he looked like that?

  • I can't even begin to believe that the Takeshi-san who gave us those looooooooooong static shots in his movies is the same guy who fires off dialogue like this. I'd give my eye teeth to see a subtitled version.

Joe, I'm sorry about your grandfather. Seriously.

Year after year, though, the Japanese very quietly tear themselves to shreds over what they did during World War II. Show some respect, dude. You'd like them if you met them.

  • Kitano-sama has a mullet...Reverend Smith?

  • wtf u spud that was shit im well faster u diks

  • good stuff!!

  • Is there even a partial translation available, or could someone tell me what they're talking about? I only ever get the odd word. Love Beat Takeshi!

  • so damn young looking. this is an awesome video!

  • What a very qualified comment. Now scoff an extra large steak and leave us alone.

  • U should be banned from You Toube :P,not even have the guts to show his real country,u r german lol ... most little japanese kids have more guts then u will ever get,and btw give back the indians the real america lol

AND STFU on You Tube get teached stupid whatever :PPPP

  • What are talking about? Was your grandfather killed by death penalty? Because this talk about that.

  • Your grandfather was killed by a couple of stand-up comedians? How on earth did that happen...

  • JoeKraut, you should be sent to hospital. For more information, please call to Matsuzawa Hospital for Mental Illness.

  • just to sad, and he, thats a nice idea for that call

  • Every Japanese elementery school students learn takeshi's educational program called KOMANECHI.

  • Haha, Takeshi, it could only be you...

  • Aww, he's so young. lol.

  • Its very very fast, even for Japanese people... The comic point is partly in speed, btw...

  • Everyone that has seen Kid´s Return should recall this. This is where he got his nickname "Beat", from the Two Beats. This was the beginning of his fame.

It would be nice if someone could translate this, though I think we would miss the point, because of the language diffreneces.

  • my god kitano! he has include this scene in Kids Return.

  • There is a scene like this in 'Kids Return'.

  • yeh it was a bike accident which scarred the right side of his face.

First video ive seen of the "two beats", takeshi looks so different lol

  • he had a boating accident or somethin right? and got plastic surgery on his face - gave him a scar so he looks very gangsterish now

  • woah, that's hardcore-japanese. LOL

Kitano seems to had the exactly same face since he was born. lol

(xD Kitano has a funny face xDxDxD)

  • It's from 1981 ! :D

  • Beat Takeshi looks so young!
