The only thing I find impressive about Misha is his ability to mix and record his music. It's kind of silly to write music and not exactly know what you're doing.

Not everyone is pushed to learn theory... My school didn't have music programs and the only teacher i have is internet.

In my experience people who are fluent in theory and playing technique were pushed by an outside force to learn music such as a parent or had a musical family.

I respect misha for not having any of that except a pushful mother who threw a piano at him.

I didn't have that growing up i started at 16 i'm 19, so forgive us if we can't name every scale note backwards & forwards.

Guitar world had the guitarist from steel leppard... and that band literally doesn't care about "technique", misha could've atleast explained things in tab, i understand that he fucked up.

But i think it's just people knit-picking at things, they see one single flaw with a guy who can make riffs like that and they pounce, out of jealousy or hatred.

@reptaryay Knowing theory is, for me, not that important. You can still be an amazing guitarrist without knowing a lot of theory or even nothing. Some say that theory helps you achieve that exact riff you're looking for, which I find kind of awkward. Remember, this was just my opinion and others will most likely tell you otherwise.

Please don't get me wrong, I AM A PERIPHERY FAN and i think that Misha is a kick ass player. Teaching is not really for him because of the lack of Articulation and you know that.
