I wouldn't say the bible borrows from the Enuma Elish. I believe this is a case of the two writings telling the same story. Jeremiah 4:23-2 tells of the Earth before the genesis account, Job 26:11-13 tells of Tiamat being split in two... the bible calls Tiamat "Rahab," and it clearly fits all of the descriptions of Tiamat. you just need to have open eyes.
People begin to wake up finally. It is proven beyond any doubt the Old Testament (check my profile) has it's roots in these tablets. I have allot of Christians mailing me saying the tablets are a lie from the Nephilim. At the same time they don't realize their 'Book' exists because of these tablets. So if they say: It's a lie, they have to throw away their own 'Book' as well.
That's why I think Christians should go back to what was required of them to become Christian in the 1st and 2nd centuries: 3 years seminary type education. As far as your indication that the hebrew text would not exist without the tablets...it's a stretch. It would not be in the same for it is today but I'm pretty sure it would exist. In fact, like the Christians you chastise, you make the same logical mistake of denouncing the universal quality of the one text because it borrows from another.
That's not true. I'm just explaining the roots of the texts. I'm not claiming universal quality what so ever. That's your statement you put in my mouth.
Very funny. Quote from your post:" In fact, like the Christians you chastise, you make the same logical mistake of denouncing the universal quality of the one text" <--- That's what you claim, but that's not what I do nor what I said.
What's clever? An historical and exegetics research like... Harry Potter? In the same way we can affirme that russians have a red label becouse Lenin liked Giuseppe Garibaldi, an italian hero who used to wear a red shirt... oh.. waw.. great! What a idea!!
I thought Rahab was a whore from Jericho who sheltered the Hebrew spies.

This is great Dave, I'd completely forgotten about the story of Tiamat and Marduk.
