Child abuse is real. But the worldly view of it has become currupt. By that i mean, the political view of it is if you physically dicipline your child, they say it's wrong. Well, there is a large difference between beating your kids. And spanking your kids. A firm foot to the butt or hand or belt or something. Can be a possitive thing, if you don't use too much force. And if you remember to ALWAYS follow disipline, with possitive, loving re-enforcement. Teaching them why you disiplined them.

How can you murder something that isn't human yet? If a fetus that doesn't even have a brain or an organ system yet has all the rights of a human, then why is it ok to kill sperm or eggs? They're alive, they have the potential to be human someday too. If I remove my kidney, is that murder? A 2 month old fetus has no more awareness than a kidney or a liver or a lung - why is one murder and the other not?

Um yeah I'm sure. The rough outline of the heart doesn't form until week six, the other major organ systems begin to develop in week seven and the neural chord doesn't even start to LOOK like a brain til week eight.

I get why you might consider abortion a moral problem in the second trimester when brain activity begins - but in the first two months, the fetus is the size of a pea, has no brain function and no organ systems. It's just a clump of cells.

Spontaneous abortion aka MISCARRIAGES do happen in nature.

@sharliz79 Rabbits, for example, and many other small mammals, can reabsorb a fetus back into their bodies if conditions are not optimal. So if there isn't going to be enough food, or there's overcrowding, the pregnancy is terminated. It's not the same as miscarriage.

But that's not really the point anyway. We do plenty of unnatural things - vaccination of babies, chemotherapy for cancer patients, caring for the elderly or disabled when they cant care for themselves - all totally unnatural.

A cheetah cannot preform a self abortion. Nature can create spontaneous abortions, yes, but a cheetah abortion does not happen at the will of the mother. Human kind takes the life of its own on purpose...nature has nothing to do with that decision.

@JenniMystic and yes, animals will abandon and eat their own but usually that is as a result of a birth defect, or illness, or its a matter of survival. Humans who strap their kids in a car and send them into a lake are not acting in that same manner as the animal who kills it young because it has a cleft palate and cannot suckle and will starve to death otherwise.

Your mother's case it's like a woman killing her husband when her life is at danger.

There's extenuating circumstances, but there's also AGRAVATING circumstances, like a rich woman killing her own intrauterine child because it has Down Syndrome, or a wife killing her husband to claim the life insurance.

But all women who kills their husband must go to court, and is up top the judge to decide if she's punished or justified.

Same should go for women who have abortions.

If all abortion were completely legal (and I don't think late term abortion should be unless it is someone is very young/birth could kill both mother and child, etc.) people still wouldn't be using it as another form of birth control -it's a horrible experience! Education in safe sexual practice should be stressed, how to prevent unwanted pregnancy BEFORE it happens.
