 तलत महमूद की तरह मखमली आवाज तो , जगजीत गिंह की थी पर उनके बेटे की मौत क़े बाद ,उनकी आवाज मे जो दिलकश दर्द आ गया था , लगता था की हर ग़ज़ल को वह अपने दिल की हर गहराई मे डूब क़े गा रहे है और उनके इसी नायाब अंदाज़ ने हर किसी की ,जो ग़ज़ल मे बया मौजु को समझकर सुनता था , वह जगजीत सिंह की गायकी का कायल होजाता था

No doubt it is really a beautiful ghazal sung by Jagjit singh but it requires some correction. The line " TERAY KHAT MEIN AAJ GANGA MEIN BHAHA AAYA HOUN " The word " GANGA " should be replaced with word " DARIYA "will be better. As by name GANGA is female where as DARIYA word is male otherwise all words of this ghazal are beautiful

@akramnirala The word Ganga is best suited here, Reason being that Ganga is not just any river, When somebody dies Hindus burn them and spread the remnants (Asthi Visarjan) in Ganga. It is said that without Asthi Visarjan(maybe poet is indicating Final Journey here) in Ganga the dead person cannot achieve Moksha. Atleast this is my understanding.
