You can be for government directed volunteerism all you want. The president himself said this "army" would be as well funded as our defense spending. So over 600 billion dollars. Because of so much investment and revolutionising technology, the rate of profit is just too low, and so becoming a businessperson is just not worth the money. Invest $1 million and get only $1000 profit, for example. 100 years ago, it would've been $1 million.
The stock market has a very high rate of profit, so they use that instead.

You can be for government directed volunteerism all you want. The president himself said this "army" would be as well funded as our defense spending. So over 600 billion dollars. I didn't realize we had that kind of money. Also he points out this thinking that we have a responsibility to serve our nation and the world. I don't know where that is in the constitution, but taking care of yourself, your family, your friends, and your neighbors comes first.

What good is charity if we are made to be. It's not charity. Tax for charity is a false concept. And what will we have left with to be charitable with?

The real economy, building things and selling etc, is too unprofitable.
Because of so much investment and revolutionising technology, the rate of profit is just too low, and so becoming a businessperson is just not worth the money. Invest $1 million and get only $1000 profit, for example. 100 years ago, it would've been $1 million.
The stock market has a very high rate of profit, so they use that instead.

The contradictions of capitalism don't apply when you are ahead of the market, such as being the first to discover a new technology. If you do this, you have massive profits. For those in the market, very low profits.

Many organizations ask people to devote them self's to a common good.
In my community' if it wasn't for dedicated volunteers who donate food, money and their love to the unfortunate. Many people lives would still be in jeopardy. But according to Glenn beck its bad to:
