  • I'm very surprised this is a French commercial, as this sort of thing isn't quite accepted in the "mainstream" there am I right?

  • This means twingo is for gays...

  • @MrZoocrates dont be so stupid

  • @MrZoocrates you mean...Twingo is for people with style;).....

  • Pour tous les homophobes : on s'en fout allez voir ailleurs

For all homophobes : we don't care so go away

  • @DarkShadowBarkie Why you say that guy ?

  • @wargasm58 and when you close your mouth, you will be asked, maybe, you think .. Your country manufacturing bicycles! shut up!

  • fuckin bitch of english you lunch because it's french but you have gay pub too !

No i lunch love gay french ;p

  • ooh comme j'adore les francais.

  • @lagrenounouille Et moi j'adore les Allemands !!!! ^^

  • well I have a Citroen <3 hehehehe

  • @DarkShadowBarkie "French is really gay"

    -> WTH? I'm French/Vietnamese here.

  • omg the boy is so cute

  • aah that was so cute; he accepts his dad as he is :D

  • @FOREIGNERFORARABS You're right, that is dumb. How does the son get the right to judge his father like that when he was in the same boat. I hope they've worked through it and that the dad mercifully divorced the mother so they can both be free.

  • Yeah this was on UK TV last year.

  • The song is Whistle by Sporto Kantès

  • so, pretty much "french advertising"

  • LOL

  • Trop mignonne cette pub :)

Quelqu'un connaît le titre de la chanson ?

    Anyone know the song ?

  • That's the guy from Hollyoaks! Il est anglais - Oliver Farnworth.

  • "Marriage is the union of two different surnames, in friendship and in love, in order to continue the posterity of the former sages, and to furnish those who shall preside at the sacrifices to heaven and earth, at those in the ancestral temple, and at those at the altars to the spirits of the land and grain."

  • Just a note: " hey papa! tu peux nous faire entrer?" Rentrer means to enter again. Entrer means to enter.

  • hahaha

  • Didn't the son used to be in Hollyoaks???

  • c'est tres de bon

  • I am Algerian and I perfectly speak French, He said " hey papa! tu peux nous faire rentrer?" which means " Dad could you get us in?"

  • @kawtharfromdz Je crois qu'il a dit "Hey papa! Tu peux nous faire ENTRER?"

  • @comeparidevezzoso l'erreur est humaine, pas 2 koi t'emporter, C kan même gentil de me corriger!

  • ha, we have this in England too xD

he asked his dad if he could get him and his friends into the club ;)

  • I think he asked his father where should he park ?

  • @caleb6868 Actually he asked his father if he could make them entered in the night club ^^

  • @caleb6868 no actually he asked his dad if he could let them into the nightclub

  • As Jim Royle would say,

    "Gay,my arse"

Being a 'drag-queen' does not necessarily make him gay!

  • @popazz1 Not necessarily but every drag queen I've ever known (and I've known plenty) has been gay. Otherwise what's the point?

  • @davidls11 ,

Ok,& I've known some who weren't gay,s'all I was saying. You don't have to be gay to be a drag artiste!

  • @popazz1 But then what do you do with them when you get them home? :)

  • @davidls11 ,

Who knows, you're asking the wrong bloke!

  • @popazz1 Well it sure is a pretty big step in that direction!

  • @bg11215 ,

Huh?! Big step in WHAT direction? Not sure what you're referring to,sorry!

  • @popazz1 well actually it does. a drag queen is a gay man that dresses as an over-fabulised women, where as a straight man that dresses as a women is a cross-dresser

  • @cynnthemanevolant ,

1st,I do actually know what a 'drag-queen' is,ok.Shock, horror,I also know what a 'cross-dresser' is.What I was saying was I have met straight men who have been drag-queens.Now,whether or not they were closeted gay men I couldn't say.But my point is that not everything is 'black or white'.

  • @popazz1 im not saying it's black and white either, but that really is the distinction, a straight man in drag meets the definition of a cross dresser and a gay man in drag is a drag queen. These straight men aren't drag queens - their cross dressers, they may be just as fabulous as the gays - but by definition their still not a drag "queen"

  • @cynnthemanevolant ,

You know what? It really aint worth dragging this particular discussion out,'definitions' aside.

  • @cynnthemanevolant A cross dresser just dresses like the opposite sex while a drag dresses and acts like the opposite sex (drag queen being a male dressing and actingas a female). Nothing to do with sexual orientation.

  • @popazz1 No, but the son is :)

  • @realtelstar ,

Sorry, you've lost me! The son is what?! It's at least a month since I made any comment on this upload.Oh,do you mean the son is gay?! Ok,maybe.Or perhaps he's just proud that his dad's being open about his preferences and wants to just join him in the club. It's amazing how one advert has sparked such diverse opinion, lol. No tnecessarily a 'bad' thing though. It means people are awake, lol.

  • @popazz1 Yeah, I mean that. Since usually drag queens exhibits in gay clubs. I read the AD that he wanted to go to that club with his f/bf (who is in the car) and the dad exhibiting there will get them in.

  • @realtelstar ,

Ok,lol, with you now.Yeah,it kinda shows that dads and sons don't necessarily have to freak out over such things. The dad brought his kid up well, hahaha.

  • OMG WE HAVE THIS IN ENGLAND :D

  • it's belgian! that city is Brussels!

  • Yes it's kinda daring, but nothing gay about it. Gays don't cross-dress, and crossdressers don'T have to be gay.

  • @YYGTOGO Some gays do drag.

  • @rtgtx

um,YYGTOGO doesn't deny that. All s/he's saying is it's not a "gay thing".

You're right some gays do drag, but not everyone that does drag is gay ;)

  • @YYGTOGO ....are you retarded. serious question. DERP.

  • Oh wow! haha did not see that coming XD

  • so sweet, I really wish that everyone would react as well as the son do here <3

  • danm why the fuck a like boys and girls

  • i didn't get it ? can someone please explain what he said

  • @wakniss When they arrive the guy in the car says : Dad? Oh dad can you help us to enter (in the drag-gay disco) and the backgroud voice says: Confortable in your (modern) times, confortable in your Twingo.

  • whats the name of this song?

  • 'dad let us in' was the last thing i expected!! and it's the best possible outcome!! :D

  • No comprendo

  • hahahahhaha papa(or DAD) hahahah

  • ahahahhaahahahah great

  • XDDD very good! I liked it!

  • tarduction

the boy said "papa tu peux nous faire entrer"

means: dad can you help us to get in (in the night club)

and bien dans son epque bien dans sa twingo means

if you are okay in your time (period, era, age, days, epoch, season) . you are also okay in your twingo (car) .

  • @TheZarabasic pas traduction et epoque? desole, j'apprend

  • @jenshu7 traduction means translation and epoque i have alredy explain it

(period, era, age, days, epoch, season)

  • @TheZarabasic I just meant that I thought you spelled them wrongly. But it's all cleared up now, no worries =)

  • @TheZarabasic there is a english version that was on tv in uk,

  • I like french commercials they're very progressive.

  • ewwww

  • I love this one the best the one with the mother and daughter is funny too though

  • @cvsnoster The driver of the car (who spotted his "Papa" in drag) asks if dad can help him & his pals get into the club.

Brilliant ad! I first saw this in English, too. Must have been one filmed for the UK as well.

  • naaah

    no subs? :O

  • This is technically english its in london the actors are english the only thing thats french is the car

  • @ahdeath2007 It's in Brussels, not London - since when do you use a left-hand drive car on British roads?! Not to mention the Jubelpark in the background and the ends of the roads are different (zebra crossings, not dashes). And we don't know if all the actors are English, only one has been highlighted to be. Too much speculation going on.

  • @petitanglais I know the guy is as hes from the british show hollyoaks and his dad is from some northern soap opera also brussels isnt france its belgium so this ad still isnt french

  • @ahdeath2007 You're really not getting this are you. It's in the FRENCH language and by a FRENCH car company. That's why it has obviously been labelled as a FRENCH advert. Like when something is labelled as English because it's in that language, even if it is from the US or Australia. Where it is filmed is neither here nor there, the title of the clip does not allude to where it has been shot.

  • @ahdeath2007 I've seen this advert in the UK and it's not dubbed or anything. So they must have done two versions ...

  • This is my all-time favourite ad. Love it so much.

  • Could someone please translate it for me? To spanish or english? Thank you.

  • @boykorn0121 ive seen the english version he says dad? hey dad can you get us in?

  • @MrPunkFox Thank you!

  • @boykorn0121 He says 'dad? Can you get us in?'. The message means 'comfortable in ones era, comfortable in ones Twingo'. Basically, the young man and his father are comfortable with the modern age (i.e. homosexuality, transvestites etc) and enjoy it as much as sitting in their Twingos. Hope that helps. PS It's filmed in Brussels, the landmark at the beginning is the Parc du Cinquantenaire, where the road goes into a tunnel under the park.

  • @petitanglais Thank you so much!

  • @boykorn0121 De rien! (You're welcome)! :)

  • LOL !!

  • The ad is just dubbed in French. The fit lad in it is called Oliver Farnworth and is a British actor. He used to be in Hollyoaks

  • @deblvspaul that's not Oliver Farnworth are you blind ?

  • @bonnet92 Are you. Fuck off with the attitude dickhead. Do you even know who Oliver Farnworth is

  • @bonnet92 Are you blind. Do you even know who Oliver Farmworth is. You have YouTube so I presume you have access to Google. Use it fool

  • @deblvspaul It's not dubbed, look closely. It's filmed in Belgium.

  • @petitanglais Watch the English Version. The lad is 100% English and you can even hear his Yorkshire accent

  • @deblvspaul Interesting. There are clearly two adverts using the same actor because their lip movements match the words being spoken. Not hard to do I guess. Whether or not the guy is using his own voice in both or whether he has been dubbed in one, I can't be sure. It's still filmed in Belgium though, I suspect the nightclub is Le You on rue Duquesnoy, but I can't be sure.

  • @petitanglais Oh, and the Dutch/Flemish version is a dub of the French version. No idea who this Oliver Farnworth is though, not a Hollyoaks fan.

  • In the UK the tagline is "RENAULT TWINGO: WE LIVE IN MODERN TIMES"

  • This was shown in England too, in English obviously. (:

It's meant to say that time are changing and that the guy doesn't

mind that his dad dresses up as a woman. I think it's good. (:

  • he got sexy papa...i love man in dress!!!!! ...yes...im a woman :D

  • I do not have to know French to know what this commercial is saying...

    Quite funny.

  • they have this advert in england too.

    and they translate it as

"hey dad, can you get us in?"

  • Ohh its creepy Will from Hollyoaks, loved him :)

  • Dady 0.0 wtf i knew it mom was right

  • que chistoso

  • aww what a sweet ad

    the son is really hot!

  • whoa that guy so HOT

  • Billaloto's right, the young guy says to the drag queen "dad, dad!, could you get us in?" (I am french by the way).

  • Billaloto's right, the young guy says to the drag queen "dad, dad!, could you get us in?"

  • @butchy2004 Maybe @preppyboy9016 is militant and politically correct. I just wished I understood what they were saying.

  • Oh I know it sounds like the drag queen the young guy was calling must have been his father? And they young guy was saying that he was cool about it?

  • @Emannt2 Looks like he was, cos at first he looked surprised or a bit shocked, but then he just sort of shrugged and asked his dad if he could help them get in.

  • @sopralto817 That was pretty cool. I remember a US commercial where a dog was waiting for its owner to come home. A older business man in a suit came in, feed the dog, watched some TV with him and then the man dressed as a woman and left for the night. The message was that dogs love you no matter who, what, or how you look and are--and it's true.

  • @Emannt2 When was that? I'm sort of surprised that flew in the US, because in my experience(apart from places like San Francisco and NYC) we haven't been that accepting of things that are really "out there," like transvestites.

  • @preppyboy9016 I know, but typically female impersonators work at gay bars.

  • hey papa, je peux lui faire rentreer

    papa yo puedo hacerte entrar...

  • I love this commercial!

  • that guy IS SO HOT

oh and the son is okay too

  • @yuumeko what is 'the son is okay too' the son is the hottest spot in this ad without whom the ad would be watched by no one.lol

  • @angmohtsao youre owned... he knew that ^^

  • @yuumeko HAHAAH! That's what I was thinking too :D I have a thing for transvestites/trannies/hermaphrodites...and I'm supposed to be a straight girl...

  • French is SO HOT.

  • so the son is gay too? im not being mean. im bisexual :)

  • I love Europe!

  • @nj432video Yes Europe is the best, America is to religious and consrvative.

  • @ri4get as an american ex pat i agree. im embarrassed by my own country. it's filled w/ religious nuts. they want a christian theocracy. they are the american/christian version of the Islamic Taliban. And the people are on average:extremely dumb on social political matters. Yet they pride themselves on ignornace. They can't learn because they think they know it all so they dont even listen. Ignorance breeds Fear which breeds hatred (w a good dose of arrogance) = current American society.

  • The son's name is Oliver Farnworth :)

  • @reasonableskeptic Is that his French voice as well? Cos he has one fine French accent!

  • Comment removed

  • @reasonableskeptic he's hot huh?

  • "Dad ? ... Hey Dad ! Could you get us in ?"

"Confortable with the times. Confortable with my Twingo"

    Now it properly translated.

  • The son is so cute.

  • @butchy2004 - yup, though the ad was made in Brussels - with the Parc Cinquantenaire on the background. :)

  • Who has the British version? Download it!

  • @butchy2004

French car indeed, but the ad was filmed in Brussels...

  • @fredbxl1973 if you see attentively the license plate of this car it's From France, the actor is French and it's for French car, I don't knew how you say that it's was filmed in Brussels....

  • @minhounou because I recognize my own city! Lot of French clips or tv spots are filmed in Brussels/Belgium. Have you a problem with that? ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • @mynameisjerick

It's French, but was probably played in Belgium, seeing as Belgium is francophone

  • great add!!

  • @TheBrettLeppard - That's true there a lot of straight drag queens. I can't really tell the point of this commercial (and I speak French) there are so many subtle smiles. It has the atmosphere of "La Cage aux Folles" in a way. You could construct several different story lines from this short commercial. For an American audience this commercial would be considered terribly "Gay", but for the French audience this would just be amusing.

  • The son in the car does the English version too, and says clearly in English "Dad! Can you get us in?". I was impressed to see that he did the lines in both commercials.

  • @TRWolf

Although he may have done, seeing as I speak both languages, in most commercials that will go to foreign audiences, the actors just mouth the words, then someone else's voice is usually added

  • How you say in French: "that was 10 miles of FUGLY" ?

  • A English version has just started airing. Tag line is slightly different.

" The Renault Twingo. We live in modern times"

    Great ad.

  • oh..woow..I don't have a problem with gays or drag queens but I wouldn't want my dad to dress like tha..lol ever..lmaooo

  • he's not necessarily gay haha

  • I LOVE this commercial XD

    Bravo Renault

  • @inneedofakiss my thoughts :)))

  • j'adore!

  • This is the drag queen commercial, not gay.

  • @Theclowcard Drag Queens are gay, more accurately he would be a transvestite if you want to think that way.

  • @DreamWalker131: this might be unbelievable to you but many drag queens are straight or bi. Many of them even get married and have kids. 0_0

  • @Theclowcard Those are transvestites not drag queens. The title of Drag Queen is reserved for gay men who dress as women. While Transvestites are straight or Bi men that dress as women.Eddie Izzard is a transvestite, while Ms. Coco Peru or Hedda Lettuce are Drag Queens.I've been in the gay scene pretty much since I was born,I know what I'm talking about.

  • @DreamWalker131 ur right

  • @Theclowcard : that's true :)

  • Beautiful language, too bad it's not the most widely spoken.

  • Comment removed

  • can someone repeat the same thing like the guy said? "Tu peux....." ?

  • @heypeople123 Tu peux nous faire entrer? I think ,)))

  • hahahaha very funny! but I think he's heading to his Grandpa I guess

  • Muy bueno

  • cammy ur grreat

  • ahahahahahaha ! thank to my friend cammy i know what their sayin !1 .... he sayts.... papa ! can you get us in the club !

  • i wana know waht they are saying !

  • French guys are cuteeeeeeeee ^^

  • @siamover I've been in france since the last six months...and gosh, you're right, they are really cute.....^^

  • C trop marrant ptdr.......

mais le mec est trop beau aussi ^^

  • Funny how on the english version they replaced "dad" with "Doug"

  • @DublinFrodo no they haven't, it still says dad

  • @benjemonshop Yeah, just noticed that after.

  • THE. CUTEST. AD. EVER.

  • I've seen this ad in English on UK tv!
