god bless her fighting spirit we should all take note her amazing will power to combat cancer with mind over matter, yes qi qong can cure everything we must have belief....
At first i did not recognize this form. I am a follower of the Liu He Ba Fa style under Grand Master Choi by way of his student, Sifu Soderberg. I have been informed that this is of a different line. Sifu Liang's form is indeed very beautiful.
Obviously Tai Chi Chuan, Bagua and Liu He Ba Fa have the same origin or near to the same origin. For that idiot who says we've all been duped. I doubt it. Helen Liang is well known.
@HiddenScholar Many of Grandmaster Wu Yihui's students had martial arts backgrounds and modified the form to merge it with their own knowledge. This is one of several explanations for its similarities with other Neijia martial arts such as Tai Ji Quan, Baguazhang, Yi quan and Xingyiquan. This has also develped different styles / lineages in liuhebafa as well even though in his lifetime Grandmaster Wu Yihui taught the complete system to only one disciple, Grandmaster Chan Yik Yan.(Chen Yi Ren).
All you idiots who likes this girl's performance have been duped.. This is not the one passed down by the masters. Note: China does not have this form. Go to Hong Kong, there are 2 okay schools.
@hyoung888888 the Hong Kong kwoon's are probably under Grandmaster Chan Yik Yan's lineage Grandmaster Chan studied Liuhebafa from Grandmaster Wu Yihui in Shanghai probably. Grandmaster Chan taught only in Hong Kong and Singapore. Grandmaster Chan turned leadership of his lineage of liuhebafa to Grandmaster Wai Lun Choi. Grandmaster Chan died in 1982.
@Bay13cam ding nei go fai aa. you are the gulliable one and my information is sound. it is well known that the lineage (s) in mainland china do not have the full liuhebafa system. Master Wu Yihui (Ng Yik Fai) taught the full complete system to only one disciple, Chan Yik Yan. (Chen Yi Ren). It is only though the lineage of Master Chan that the full and complete system can be experienced. The other lineages are also good also but it is through the ;lineage of Master Chan is it complete.
I had worked with Helen Liang back in 1999-2001 in Richmond, BC, and her story was truly amazing. I remember her practicing this style along with taking herbs to combat with cancer at the time. Then found out that she had recovered while I was working out in HK already. She is very graceful indeed, and you cannot tell the power she possess in her smaller looking physical stature. It looks like she's doing just fine these days, just saw another video of her performance recently.
@ac2leung Hopefully she will continue to win her battle with cancer. her story is truly a inspiring one. Sifu Helen is indeed gracefull and her gung fu is most excellent. Even in this video, i can see the chi flowing in her movements. Although we have a different liuhebafa line, unlike some like Bay13cam or hyoung888888 i give her much respect for she is a excellent martial artist and teacher of gungfu and a elder and even if our lineages differ she is still liuhebafa. Ha ha ha. Gullible. Get the facts from other sources. Ask for the facts from the others schools in HK.
And why would a lineage allow itself to be headquartered in another country? Gullible.
