  • How does anyone know for sure that Jimi's white Strat or his beloved black beauty Stratocaster were in deed alder body guitars and not ash bodies???

  • @petecatz They were both alder bodies. Ash is much lighter than alder so the weight is a dead giveaway. We have replicated both the woodstock and black beauty strat. Check em out on our facebook page! just search for custom-relics

  • @libertyfalls -Jimi's "black beauty" has been in a secret place since his death in 1970 and nobody has proved that it's a ALDER body guitar.....also his "woodstock" white Strat that is on display has never been stripped down to prove that it is in deed ALDER and not ASH. You can't go by the weight either because all the CBS Stratocaster's were heavy.....the lighter weight ash bodies were from the pre CBS period of the 1950's. CBS had some heavy ash body guitars with great tone and a lot of bite.

  • Lmao even the dog and the cat were like "wow jimi hendrix guitar..."

  • Awesome how much would u charge

  • @bluesman2080 Email me at toomanypedals@hotmail.com to discuss pricing.

  • Can you send in your own guitar and will paint it 4 me 4 a cheaper price

  • @bluesman2080 Yes, we do that quite often. You can send your guitar and we can paint it and relic it however you like. Email me at toomanypedals@hotmail.com for more info.

  • @pbstratocaster They dont make a properly spaced screw hole pickguard w/ the notch and countersunk pickup holes. this one is as close as it gets. Olympic white is olympic white. Dont know what to tell you on that. His tuners were not vintage tuners. The F tuners are the proper ones. you can clearly see the distinct F tuner key shape on the real one. Also the woodstock strat had a 4 bolt neck, not a 3 bolt. SImply do a google images search for "woodstock strat" and look at the real one.

  • So if I ordered a strat from you, will it be made with Fender parts?

  • Awesome news Enrique. Rock on.

  • WHERE IS THE TREMOLO BAR?

  • @MrROBERTZ77 The woodstock strat had 5 springs in the rear tremolo cavity rendering the tremolo bar useless. Well, its like that now anyway. Google woodstock strat and you will see the same thing.

  • @libertyfalls But, obviously, Jimi used the bar heavily at Woodstock.

  • How much does this cost?

  • @astro2069 Only $1500. Not bad for masterbuilt quality. We only use premium parts. No Allparts or Warmoth parts are used by us! CHeck out our selection at custom-relics we can do it right or left handed.

  • Nice work. How much for an axe like that?

  • hendrix's was either the light yellow or Olympic white aged to yellow...just watched the woodstock vid and love it all

  • Wonderful!!!

  • right handed guitars still look good even when played the other way round. But its not the same with lefties... they dont look good on right handed guitarists...

Also I wanted to say that jimi's woodstock strat was the first strat i ever saw in my life... I inmdeaditly fell in love with them... its beautiful

  • hey could you make a lenny srv strat?

  • @jacktheguitarman Yep. We can do Lenny strats.

  • @libertyfalls well i have a highway one black strat right now, could you give me an estimate to turn it into a lenny strat (refinish etc.)? the neck is kinda pale so it might need to be tinted

  • @jacktheguitarman We would have to start with a fresh premium body. The woodgrain needs to be good enough for a semi-transparent finish. Its a gamble whats under the black finishes. Sunburst strats are fine because the wood grain is visible. The neck would need to be refinished also. I would suggest ordering a fresh guitar. It would probably be cheaper and you would be guaranteed premium parts. The lenny strats, srv #1 strats and the black1's need good looking grain since its exposed

  • Beautiful...
