They were certainly African but the world was also much cooler then and the part of Africa in which we evolved was mostly lush savannah. They were certainly African but the world was also much cooler then and the part of Africa in which we evolved was mostly lush savannah. @arafel1964 Correction: Mexico is located in NORTH AMERICA, NOT SOUTH AMERICA. Mexico is a very diverse place btw. Some Mexicans have pure Amerindian ancestry, while other Mexicans are pure blooded Caucasian. The majority of Mexicans being a mix of both ancestries.

It's a nation of immigrants; yes people of indigenous and mixed blood make up a very large segment of the population, but there are plenty of Asian-Mexicans, African-Mexicans, Irish-Mexicans, etc. It's just like every other country in the Americas.

I wish that more people listen to the wisdom of the American natives, the Aboriginals and the Tibetans. Despite infighting they lived relatively peaceful and in harmony with their environment, had respect for nature and animals. Ironic that quantum physics now proves what natives always knew. I believe that we all belong to the land that we inhabit, that we all moved with the land. Like when the continents slowly separated people were slowly separated. For the different colors of the people, we just adapted to our environment.

Well a lot of intermarrying took place, this is why the gene variation is very small. When you look at Native Americans in south, north, and central they all look similar. You cannot tell them apart. I am mixed so you will see that I have more variation.

First of all, there was an Bering strait crossing. That is how some large animals crossed into America long before humans did. I am not exactly sure I understand your point. History turns on a dime, and often what we are taught is complete fiction. The sickness/murders that wiped out over 90% of their population did happen, but neither you nor I were a part of it. I don't know your race, nationality, or background... but I think we can all agree that the premature death of any innocent person is wrong and intolerable.
What matters is today.
