Yup and he also married Mike and Carol Brady. I think it is fun to see someone out of their normal role. I always took the blood pressure on the left but that was because that arm was closer.
LOL, he never did say why he burned the hat...nope. ;)
Thanks for another great ep! The aortic aneurysm blood pressure dilemma threw me. "Always take BP off the LEFT arm," is what an ex-army Paramedic told me, last might while discussing the ep. Awesome.
If there is major discomfort, injury or depending on certain types of surgery you would take it from the other arm. Now for that situation, I'm not sure if any of those applies or not.
@Commandamanda A lot of times people say to take the BP off the left arm because most people are right handed, believe it or not. It really doesn't matter except if there are surgical reasons for not doing it on one particular arm.

So right...I wouldn't be taking BP from a broken arm! ;)

At the very least, you wouldn't make your patient very happy! LOL
I know one for instance is that if a woman has had lymph nodes removed on that side then you would want to avoid that arm.

or in my case from the leg
i had all the nodes removed from both arms
terryloc1969 3 years ago
Yes, that would be the case! I hope that you are now well, after having to endure that!
God Bless!
