I was probably there!! I went EVERY time they were at blossom between 80-84!! No One like MSB!!!! Rock it out!!! Always had a blast!! Love you Michael!! no one rocked it like you guys!!! Had every album from the 70's on..Went to the Aggora in the 70's to see them too..but the best was at blossom!!! Wow wish I could go now!!!
Oh, what I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time and see MSB again at Blossom....Epic! They set a record 4 sold-out shows one summer, and I was there for each one.
This was a great post. I forgot that the keyboard player on the left was in a band called Reign that played faithfully at the FireHouse in downtown Cleveland. I no longer live in my hometown, but this video brought back so many good memories. Thanks!
LOVE LOVE LOVE MSB! Most underated rock band. I grew up in cleveland and they were a staple. EVERYONE listened to them or has seen them. great memories.
Thanks for the trip in the way-back machine, but for God's sake do something about the wimpy volume. This song needs to be LOUD or it's impossible to play a decent air guitar while I'm cooking in my kitchen.
This was the first band I ever saw perform live on their New Year's concert ( 1981-1982) Great memories ....I'm not american but i'm a clevenander at heart. I understand his legacy.
also a Youngstown native who loves MSB...glad he didn't "make it big" outside of the area, he's great as he is. It's good to have a guy like Michael Stanley to represent everyone from our region.
I went and saw MSB in the 80's many times. They put on a great show! Michael Stanley is truly a home town hero of Cleveland and I am proud to be a fan. I live in Las Vegas now and I have introduced people here to MSB and they love it!!! Seeing these videos bring back such great memories for me, Thanks for posting them! Micheal is a true Cleveland icon. Keep Rockin Micheal!
michael stanley never wanted to "make it big" ,,he didnt want radio stations and record producers to tell him what to write and how to play ..he always wanted to stay under the BIG lights ,,he knows he was good ,,and did well ,,and STILL does ,,saw him just last weekend ,,for the 26'th time, hes a local icon ,,i live in the Cleveland area ,,and he has exactly the life he wants ,,,local radio dj still ,,,MSB rules ..
In Youngstown I kind of grew up with these guys on the radio and everyone knowing all their songs. It wasn't until I moved away that I noticed just as many people who've never heard of them as you do fans of theirs. That's when it struck me how underrated these guys have become. I guess I just always thought that everyone everywhere had MSB coming out of their radios. It's a shame that they didn't, because they had the goods. They deserved to be so much bigger.
I would like to thank who ever put this on there i grew in Youngstown Ohio. I now live in Missouri I wish they would have made it big.I tried to find some of these songs but could never find them till now Thanks
Saw MSB new years eve 1981. One of the best shows I've ever been to. MSB never got the success they should've, but they had a couple of radio hits. I remember after I moved to Arizona I saw them in a little bar in Tempe. The place was packed with people wearing their MSB shirts. It was amazing. Definitely a great time.
I have two Michael Stanley Band albums that are in good condition for sale. The two that I have are Heartland and Greatest Hits. Send me a message through my YouTube account if you are interested.
This is a great performance of a great song by a great musician. What more can I say?

I saw them at BGSU in 81 I think. My first concert. Was a very memorable one. Wish they would have stuck around longer.

Bob Pelander. F Me. Great song writer. Damn shame he never got more credit. But, hell, he gets to live in Henderson, NV. Love Henderson.
