@wes97608 Yes, I do breed Boerboels for Protection work.. you can look all over my channel here for a TON of video of me training, working & trialing my dogs. =]
I'm in Northern VA, though I have sent dogs all over the US & exported to other countries as well. I'm very proud to say that I have exported to AFRICA to people who want PP Dogs! Feel free to contact me at WorkingBoerboel at yahoo dot com Thanks!
I don't see pit in him to be honest. I see the possibility of Mastiff, Tosa Inu, or Boerboel...maybe a combo of those type breeds. The size and shape of the head would indicate those. All are naturally protective breeds, and would contribute to the dog's natural protective instinct. Good dog, like the way you work. I train too, and I don't give out kudos lightly. Kudos!
He looked very good, loyal and protective, I bet he went on to have some very successful training! One thing I dislike, though, is seeing videos crowded with speech bubbles because uploaders can't seem to accept the fact that most Youtube commenters are whiny trash who should be ignored. If illiterate idiots wander in here and start making noise over things they don't understand, just delete their comments and block them. You can't explain basic things to morons; they aren't even listening.
So... how should I start to TEST my dog... his a Samoyed 13 months old??? I got him well trained, sit, bark, show his teeth in an agressive matter, come, stay and stuff like that but dont know much on the security thing can you please help me out by giving me some pointers... thank you... by the way GOOD VID :)
The point was to TEST HIM. Here, I'll post it AGAIN for the folks who are either a little "slow" or are just too lazy to read:
"If you read the info about the video, the dog has **NO TRAINING**.
This is a short TEST to see IF the dog can understand threat, IF the dog is willing to engage a threatening person, WILL stay in the fight under a little pressure, & NOT re-direct to his handler -I had only had this dog for a short bit, & needed to test him to see if he was even worth training."
Anyway, so this was natural protection instincts? I'm thinking of getting a Boerboel sometime but am wondering if i get one that it will be a good protection dog.
I want a dog to protect without the need of training.
I never did receive any paperwork on this young dog, so one can't say on his "purebred" status -if you believe in such things.
Boerboels are a recent breed, & the various breeds from what they are bred still show up as recessives in the gene pool here & there. For example, I have seen long-coated BBs, who were obviously bred down from Saint Bernard.. often these dogs are piebald colored, even when normal-/short-coated.
This is an exceptional dog, regardless of breed! He was a lot of fun to work!
very very nice dog....where the hell did you get such a natural dog and what is the cross if it's pitbull in it which I suspect it is...what is the bloodline? Nice dog...nice green dog!
If you read the info about the video, the dog has **NO TRAINING**.
It's pointless telling a dog a command that means absolutely NOTHING to him.

He is just over a year old at the time of this video.

@bluegama500
"Raw" just means that the dog has no training (yet) for protection/bitework.
ALL Protection dogs need training. >;^)

Why do you hang the dog? Why not use a command?
