  • Love the way every song in the movie are class

  • I guess you had to be there, I'm just trying to be a better person, my name is Earl!

  • hey look jesus is speaking

  • Its actually a Peter Frampton song. he wrote it for this movie. He taught the actor for Russel how to play guitar for the movie

  • yeah who's the ACTUAL band playing.

  • @eddievdg1 Well this is a Frank Zappa song and he did the song writing for this movie, but I don't think thats Franks voice, kind of curious myself . Try Googling it.

  • Who originally did this song?!?! Frampton....but it's not on ANY of his albums, except a 1999 live DVD!!! WTF?!?!?!

  • where's crabman?

  • Hey Earl

  • lol 100 likes 0 dislikes with 50k views and its been up for 3 yrs. NOW thats the sort of respect this fake band truly deserves

  • that guitar line ... is incendiary!!

  • even though its not a real band, and the singer and guitarist arent actually singing and playing the guitar.. its still one of the best songs ive ever heard! haha

  • 0:22 looks like John Paul Jones

  • looks like Royal Albert Hall.....

  • Jason Lee as Jeff Bebe is the hottest thing I have seen in a long, long time. Perfect body, perfect hair, perfect hands, perfect smile. Yum, yum, yum.

  • Does anybody remember laughter!!??

  • @nholt YES! gotta love Zep

  • Just so you all know the lead singer, who's name is Jason Lee was many things before he was Earl

  • not the whole scene is deleted...around 15 seconds are in the movie!

  • Is this a real band?

  • @slasherguitarmaster nope there in a movie called almost famous peter frampton wrote this song

  • @slasherguitarmaster --this band was a factious band. There WAS a real band named Stillwater back in the '70's starring Wetwillie's lead singer, Jimmy Hall. Search "mind bender" for one of their more memorable hits.

  • The songs were also on a cd that came with the special edition of the movie... the 'Untitled' version.... also came with a tons of extra which were excellent

  • why the delechions.

  • Like a band named "Dżem" from Polnad. Great music... Why such musicans do not exist. Why POP is called "nice music"... Shit !

  • The song was written by Peter Frampton, and is on his disc Live From Detroit.

  • @mrjbug Thanks for the info -- wondered where this came from ...

  • Heh....

    Im the 33,333 viewer!

    What's my prize?

  • pretty sad when a fake band still kicks most reals bands asses.

  • One of the most underrated bands of all time!

My dad use to go to all the concerts he's seen everyone and he said "These guys rocked as hard as anyone!"

Led Zep eat your heart out!

    Still Waters FOREVER!

  • @brassmonkeyjew they're a fictional band mate. not real. there was another rock n roll band back then called still waters but they were more southern rock.

  • isnt his name Earl?

  • @muchohumptyhump i think its poo face.

  • So this is the alternative ending?

  • @oursonvie no i think this should have been somewhere around clevand in the movie dude

  • i fucking admire russell´s les paul...

  • @MsRandomhero just take a les paul remove the cover from the bridge and but a zebra pickup in the neck

  • amazing song!! they could be really famous...

  • peter frampton made it

  • who actually plays the music?

  • One would be bemused as a spectator perusing the scene at hand being shot if one wern't relishing in the aural presence of live music being played, whilst Ashton and the fellas were 'playing'. Good film and music though.

  • they are playng the music they were taught by nancy wilson and peter frampton

  • anyone seen the full "live" version of fever dog??

  • badass. these must be the extras off the box set. i only got the regular copy. damn.

  • who wrote this song?

  • I can't find the original version of this song ANYWHERE!!!

  • great great!

  • why the fuck was this not in the movie??????????

  • @conzo420 It was, but it was deleted from the final cut. I think it might be on the DVD, but I'm not sure

  • @conzo420 No kidding...Must be a bonus feature...

  • @conzo420 yeah i agree hey do u play any instrument i play guitar my twin bro plays bass and my uncle he got to sub for the guitarist of the who but yeah i love this song and i agree y wasnt this not in the movie and the people who said it was originaly called still waters there wrong my uncle got to play in the band as one of the 3 guitarists in the band the band in the movie is different from the real band they actually have alot more band members then just 4 and there real names r different,

  • @qwerty13461 it is just caller stillwater

  • @conzo420 a few seconds of this were in the movie it was cut together with another song, watch carefully.

  • @conzo420

Nope, was cut...wish the movie could have been 3 hrs long to show all the full versions of the songs!!

It showed like a minute of him singing the main line in a montage of sorts...

  • @conzo420 DELETED SCENE

  • @conzo420 Yea, when you think about all the dumb stuff the leave in movies and then they cut this out. LOL

  • @conzo420 probably because they wernt supposed to be getting along together.

  • @conzo420 It was, very briefly, I think only a few seconds of it but watch the film again it's definatly in, just to be sure make sure you watch the bootleg cut it has all the extra bits in that make the film better

  • @wisers2007 Hey Earl. Hey Crabman.. i noticed theres not alot of black people in the 1970's in the rock-n-roll genre

  • @CurlyQDubs gotta agree with you...theres generally fewer black guys in rock...but the handfull that were there were fuckin' LEGENDARY!!! just one word.... HENDRIX baby!!!!

  • @wisers2007 howzit bruddah<1001 stories here.

  • @wisers2007 randy here, I haven't seen you since the roceunteurs at the greek....I'm guessing you rmembered my story! After all the years, EVERY SINGLE PARTICLE of this movie has been cemented as THE film gateway into rock and roll (and you KNOW that's a bold statement with the grateful dead movie)....what I like about this movie is that you can see stuff for the first time on your 35th viewing. If this makes sense, get back to me, cause I need to ask one kind favor. Gracias.

  • @wisers2007 he's a roady
