Bueno como ya sabemos que la pista esta bien, la pregunta es: Porque los pilotos de TACA se niegan a seguir las minimas regulaciones de seguridad? sera que TACA los obliga? les impone multas por no aterrizar aunque implique violar la seguridad de los pasajeros? Si AA y Continental no hubiensen aterrizado en la pista 02 con 10 nudos de viento en cola, Porque TACA lo hace con 10 Kt y humedad en pista? que hace a los pilotos de TACA infalibles? porque tomar riesgos innecesarios?

I fly Taca all the time and that is the one airport that scares the shit out of me. God bless those aboard and a speedy recovery for those who survived.....Ps. Avoiding that airport from now on, connections through san salvador and costa rica is the best!!

you don't have to avoid it anymore...it's done, closed! From now own by executive order Palmerola AFB with a long 8200 ft runway and intrument approaches will be used for aircraft over 40 people.
