  • cool clip .. nice one.. thanks for sharing .. keep it up

  • very nice. ill try this.

  • Isn't it actually better to do a layer of pebble and activated charcoal for proper drainage and circulation?

  • Thank you for the comment! You are correct in that a 1-inch layer of pebbles on the bottom will aid with drainage if plants are over-watered. Since our kits to not include pebbles, to avoid any confusion, we did not mention them in the video. If pebbles are not used, if over-watering has occured, be sure to use the "pinch test" to monitor the water level in the soil.

  • Carnivorous plants cant be potted in that mix or they will die. They will die indoors or with tapwater. Then need peat moss and perlite. They will also die in a terrarium. Just plant the plants outside. They do much better you save money, then we're all happy. The glass will eventually heat up and kill the plants. You mentioned a few problems with terrariums, like I said above just plant them outside where they are supposed to go.

  • Thank you for the comment! This kit does ship with peat moss rather than soil, and the video does focus on the use of tropical plants. The glass will not heat up unless placed in direct sunlight. The instructions provided with this kit offer recommendations on the best placement for the terrarium. We highly recommend following the instructions, as our customers have had great success with these terrariums in their classrooms over the years.
