are the tongs arms identical, or do you have to make them opposites, my mind cannot comprehend that at the moment, neat video! Everyone seems to have a way of making them, Jim and crew seem to know how to do everything great though!
do do farriers tongs make good welding tongs? I've been making a lot of chain (for a wealthy friend who can afford hand forged chain for his boat anchor) and have been meaning to make a pair of tongs for welding. I'm just wondering how good these things are, since there's a farrier around who is willing to give a pair up for me
It was great to watch you work, ever since I bought my first driving hammer made by y'all I can't use any other kind...Good quality handmade tools are worth their weight in gold.

@beowulf342000 Not a matter of NEED, it is a matter of it is faster and less work. If you have a striker available, never be ashamed of using them.
