  • first Step is finishing the St Louis line. its gunna help that corridor a lot.

  • Hell yea! Reduce pollution.

  • i thought narp meant non athlete regular person...

  • funny, they put london tube map (@2:36) - did you see a link between mexico city and lisbon? lol!

nice video though, looks like us needs better train service!

  • Traveling by trains in Alaska is like traveling on a Cruise Ship because you got the nice confort seats, dining cars, sleeping cars and other good stuff. in 30 years from now, most of the trains in america would not need sleeping cars, or dining cars because they'll have trains traveling faster than before.

  • I liked the variety of presenters in the video. I think it is important to stress that ordinary people support rail.

  • There are numerous railfan videos on YouTube. Ask them to shoot or use their footage. I would think they would be happy to do so.

Focus on the ability to multitask - use computers and soon access the Internet on rail. The Internet culture trumps the car culture. Travel time won't be wasted time.

  • Excellent start to a great message! Yes, the audio needs some work, but this is solid material. Perhaps do some more shots at train stations or with a backdrop of a passenger train. Security makes things a tad more difficult, but shooting at a smaller station might be easier. Keep up the good work!

  • Wonderful! We really should be encouraging more passengers to take to the rails even with the network as it is now for those reasons. Currently, I live in China. For all its faults, it is a model of rail efficiency that America would do well to look up to every bit as much as Japan's. It is cheaper than air travel and covers places that commercial flights can't or won't. It is also a healthy competitor to air travel which reduces prices on air tickets for those who really do need it.

  • I am thrilled that NARP is starting to produce these internet videos. The video was wonderful. The speakers had an enthusiasm that was impossible to miss. There were some minor technical glitches (sound level changes, etc.) but they in no way spoiled a great message.

    Great Start!!

  • Thanks for all the feedback. The audio & video quality is the best we could do on a shoestring budget. Peter is standing with the Capitol dome in the background, but you can't make it out because of the poor video quality.

  • Great to see bright-eyed intelligent young folks involved in promoting passenger rail in the US.

  • Good Video. Behind the scenes audio would be better thru the whole production rather than making your self known to the audience. I would also recommend using a TelePrompTer when in front of a camera. Seems to work for the president.

  • Good video! It's nice to see that NARP is FINALLY starting to arrive in the 21st Century!

Audio needs work to make this a great tool, along with the removal of stock photos. Also, I don't quite get the volunteer standing in a parking lot of cars to give a message rather than from on board a train or at a station... We are sending mixed messages there!

  • Editing, especially the audio, could use a lot of work. A stronger story arc, and perhaps soundtrack and animated logo would also help.

  • Agreed. Good video. Audio needs work.

  • NOW we're communicating!

  • Excellent first attempt at bringing NARP and our efforts to the internet.

  • "Non-loading" problem -- whatever it was -- now has been fixed.

  • Can't get it to load, although I don't have the problem with other videos here.

  • This is a great start for NARP to become more visible through video and the new-tech and personal space technology that has become so popular and fun. Thanks.
