with Terra they could've made her fire more crescent waves and end it with an explosion or something, as for Cecil they could've done better

squalls ex mode is actually lionheart and a perfect does the final slash which is called "end of heart" whatever dat is

to make u understand this better, allow me to explain: most of the characters in dissidia's ex mode is a transformation of theirs from their original game (such as sephiroth with one-winged angel, ultimecias fusion with griever, zidane entering trance, etc.) however thos who do not transform (cloud, firion, tidus, squall) instead have their ultimate weapons, u get it?

actually... hate to inform you but I think you got your translation notes mixed up...

End of Heart is what Lion Heart is called in the Japanese Version of FFVIII. Exmode may be Lion heart (As in, the sword) but EXBurst is definitely Renzokuken with the final strike (not counting the enemy being dropped on their head) of the Lion Heart/End of Heart Finisher.

I have a question. For Onion Knights EX Burst I see a menu with many selections. Do they all do the same thing or do they each have a different effect?

No, you have to choose the correct option dependant on the form to get a perfect. Picking other options does nothing.

When your in ninja mode, you'll have to open up the third menu and look for a symbol with a shuriken on it and select it.

For White mage mode, you'll have to open up the second menu and look for the Holy attack.

Mind you that these buttons are never in the same place and are placed at random. So you'll have to be very quick on where you're gonna find it

Have to get the perfect for Cecil's to be strong. He has the strongest individual hits on the heroes side(which is why he only gets like 7 hits) so it seems less, but its really one of the best.

I did get Cecil's EX Burst on Perfect... All of these are on "Perfect" (except Tidus, which is on "Great", but I couldn't get it any higher no matter how many times I tried so I think that with him "Great" is the highest you can get since there was no perfect at FFX).

Question, I'm still lost on how you obtain the EX finishers, do you have to recieve the angel that does that? And how do you charge up the EX gauge without it?

Each time you hit an opponent, blue orbs will be dropped at the point of impact. By collecting those orbs you will get your EX Gauge higher. If there are enough orbs in the level and there isn't anyone close enough an "angel orb" will appear and it will draw in the stranded blue orbs. Depending on how many orbs it drew it, picking up the "angel orb" fills up your EX Gauge.

You can activate "EX Mode" if your EX Guage is completely filled by pressing R + [] (square). When you're using a HP Attack while in EX Mode you will see a silver square when the attack is almost done. By pressing [] (square) at that moment, you'll activate that character's EX Burst.
