hi, haha this is a kinda wierd question, but how tall are you? im almost 6 ft tall and a girl whose trying to find a high of horse to buy.

i'm 5'9. In this video i was probably like 5'7.

When i was looking for my first horse we wanted one 16hh+ so I'd go with 16.2hh and up for you.

However I ride my 14.3hh pony too and many people say i don't look big on her :)

um not really, it's just a building up of muscle and balance. (and trusting the horse helps too at first). You just really have to get a secure seat and used to bareback, no stirrup work will help a lot and lunging bareback at first. Also work on being lunged with no reins undersaddle. It takes a bti to get used to. Hope i helped, good luck!

our stbles is really private and everyone is really close, so sometimes she lets the people shes really close to ride bareback, but she doesnt do them as organised lessons because of stupid health and safety :@:@

awesome, i just love tennessee walker's canter and flatwalk! i learned my first canter on a tennesesse walker but that was at my old barn! i could find my position so easily to it! i'm very picky about how smooth a horse's gaits are... lol :-P

how do u stay on the horses back in trot n canter riding bareback because on my horse i cant seem to stay in the same postion when in canter. i just end up on his neck by the time canter has finished because with his every stride my bum moves a little bit nearer her withers

you really just have to build up your leg muscle, have good balance and a good seat. Over time i just absorbed the shock and got better and better. You can start by working without stirrups. It's about balance and keeping yourself centered... you'll be able to do no reins if you give it time too :)

Try to not pump so much when you canter, i've found that pressing your outside leg behind the girth keeps them going just as well. But great riding, and beautiful horse!
