  • This song reminds me of Care Bears.

  • Oh shit this IS the dirty jobs thing

  • 6 people knew it was a dirty job,but didnt do it. :D

  • (Old Red Hot Chili Peppers + Kiss) - (Flea + John Frusciante) = This song.

  • we care alot about the U.S......

  • haha what a fucking classic yo ^^

  • USMC....Dirty job....

  • remember a lot is two words

  • the original is better than the Mike Patton version IMO.

  • I heard this tasty bass line when I was watching Bio-Dome!

  • This is the best of the 80's. FNM ranks ranks HIGHEST.

  • I had not listened to this song in a minute... time to break out my faith no more.

  • im mike rowe and this is my job

  • Cannot believe I haven't listened to this song before.

  • THIS SONG IS SO GOOD!! the best thing in the movie "Bio-Dome"....at least thats why they put it there for...one GOOD thing to say about that theatrical trainwreck.

  • Fun stuff

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers ripped these guys off. Listen to "Fight like a Brave" and see what I mean.

  • @TheChirpingAssholes Right. "We Care A Lot" came out in 1985. "Fight Like A Brave" in 1987. So Faith No More went backwards in time to rip them off before RHCP came to the scene.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Dude, I'm saying that RHCP ripped off FNM. Why do you YouTube people always misread and take my posts out of context? I made myself pretty clear, yet you got me backwards. wtf.

  • @TheChirpingAssholes Fair enough. The Peppers were never very original, and when I hear about them playing another song on the radio, all I think of is "That should be Faith No More". FNM was first, and better because not every 7-year old who listens to the radio knows about them.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 This really done in 85? l first heard it in 88 on the radio top players..

  • @PsychoSpammer I did some research. Here's what you need to know. This is the original version and was in fact released in 1985. This album was considered a demo and so the song was re-released on the first official "Album" in 1987, and the single was released in 1988.

That's how you tell the difference: The 1985 version has Madonna and Mr. T, Cabbage Patch, DMC and Smurfs mentioned, whereas the 1988 version mentions Garbage Pail Kids and Transformers.

  • @ManekiNeko1972 Thanks its a wild recording

  • @ManekiNeko1972

Also, that would be forwards in time... Not backwards. wtf is wrong with you people.

  • @TheChirpingAssholes *smh* Please don't vote in the next election. If you don't know that 1985 is TWO YEARS BEFORE 1987 then you really need help. Fight Like A Brave came out in 1987, TWO YEARS AFTER this song. So for Faith No More to have ripped off the Peppers, they would have had to have gone backwards from 1987 to 1985. Put down the marijuana and grab a calculator if you don't believe me.

  • @TheChirpingAssholes Yeah fight like a brave the poor mans 'care alot' what a peice of obvious shit

  • 6 people don't care enough.

  • army..navy..air force AND MARINES.....we care alot....ohhhohhoh its a dirty job

  • best song ever !!! i have listened to this cd over and over and never get bored of it...

  • @VNVgirl right on.....

  • ..and FNM did it... rosckin' style... cause they care... and quite a bit...

  • the rerelease is better, he says about the garbagr pail kids they never lie, about transformers cause theres more than meets the eye..

  • Check out Mr. Bungle, Mike Patton's other band.

  • This band got me through the end of the 80s, start of the 90s. Thank you.

  • its a dirty job.......but somebodys gotta do it.......USMC........semper fi

  • Thumbs up if you first heard this son watching Grosse Point Blank !!

  • it IS a dirty job. but someone's gotta do it. let's face it. Part of my formative youth. TUNE!!!!

  • Wii "care a lot". It's a dirty job, but SOMEONE(s) got to do it. -If they only realized this, no one would, as the "luv" is mutual... ;-)

  • I've loved Faith no More for a while now, and I'm in a "Career Research" class now, in school. And we watch Dirty Jobs occasionally, and it was my first time watching the show, and when I heard this song I was like "MUST SING ALOOOOOONGGGGG.." xD

  • Life, It's a dirty job but someones gotta do it!

  • Dude I Care SOOOO Much!

  • best and original version. now this is the true version i grew up with. not the IY version. somewhat the same song but the lyrics are a bit different in some spots. anyone who knows this version can tell the difference in the 2 easily. this whole album is great tho. totally rocked this one with my friends while we shredded the church rails with our boards. good times \m/

  • @kingrob29 I downloaded Grosse Point Blank and watched.. Great Movie!

The version you heard was off the Introduce Yourself album their second album but nonetheless the same song. Thanks for the movie suggestion.. hahaha

  • @hxtrjeff Now that we are living in the new reality of Tea Bagging insanity, I nominate this great song as a proper strike back anthem

  • @dalefried I'm down!

  • @kingrob29 That's funny, cause I've know the song for quite some time, but I came here to listen to it again after watching GPB last night ;)

  • LOL! It's the Dirty Jobs song!

  • The opening of this song and the bass line throughout is the exact same as that of the song Do It Again by The Beach Boys.

  • no one care anymore

  • 1985?! WTF.. i was 6 back then... I Didn't knew FNM went this far back.. I thought they came out in 88/89 only! LOL Nevertheless, great band :)

  • I can't listen to this and not think of "Dirt Jobs".......love the song!

  • @Fastronald *Dirty Jobs

  • "We care a lot about you people cause we're out to SAVE THE WORLD"

    HAHA

  • @Jazzy1776

    haha...favorite part;)

  • i like this song

    its also in DIRTY JOBS

    LOVE IT

  • my 4 year old loves this.........bless him.............not sure why.........not sure he's bothered about the "smack and crack and whack that hits the streets" at his very young and innocent age.........................he just finds it a very catchy song I think.......

  • @InspiralJackRocks ur son has good taste. Very catchy song as when I first heard it I was hooked. Happy Easter to you and your family.

  • @InspiralJackRocks he probably realizes that it's the dirty jobs theme song, maybe

  • @InspiralJackRocks He probably just likes the beat and the shouting, lol

  • @InspiralJackRocks Imagine if it got some glossed up production. Not saying I would prefer it, but it would be huge. They should re-release it.

  • @InspiralJackRocks Your child is awesome....nuff said.

  • @InspiralJackRocks The smack crack and whack is in the other version, though.

  • @InspiralJackRocks Your son have good taste in music :) Have you raised him so good?

  • "Oh yeah, you bet we care a lot......"

  • Dirty Jobs!

  • fucking great lyrics

  • I second that!

  • we care a lot ¡¡

  • I didn't say THESE vocals are distorted and screamed beyond recognition. I was comparing this song with others that hide lame lyrics by distorting the voice beyond word recognition. This song rocks.

  • @RandomCriticsify I agree and this song does roc.

  • It is rare to find lyrics that can stand up on their own. These vocals don't need to be distorted and screamed beyond recognition.

  • @RandomCriticsify It is fun though to yell the lyrics at the top of one's lungs when singing along with the song...in the office...with your boss...and the rest of the crew because you're all bored while all the early 20's new hires have no idea what you're all going on about.

  • @phuturephunk Ever hear of King Diamond? He can scream better than anyone. But............. and always a but.. his music is a bit satanic and dark but man his voice rocks.

  • @hxtrjeff I'll have to look up King Diamond. Your comment reminds me of Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Really negative lyrics, but his voice sure turns my head.

  • @Ampersandra I was talking to someone about King Diamond just last week and my co worker had a friend who had backstage passes. They went where KD was and he was moaning and making all kinds of weird noises. Someone from the group asked him what was wrong, and he replied he was downloading his powers from some dark force. So he was a total freak and a cheesy one at that. But his voice still rocks. Check these videos out, psTViUV6Ngk and _NhhJ9DBR3o and EFIuoRyC7Cc

  • @hxtrjeff king diamond was badass lmfaooo one of the most annoying voices in music but mercyful fate was rad

  • @hxtrjeff KD has countless times spoken out of his beliefs, and he's atheist. Though he used to go by a satanic philosophy.

  • nice noise

  • dont mind getting your hands dirty?

  • it's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it! I dig the old FNM stuff pre-patton. Like the Patton stuff too!!!

  • grosse pointe blank

  • dude grown up to fnm it lke nothing else you will ever hear on the radio now a days.. this is the good shit.. when ppl actually stood for something and not the bull shit thats going on today!

  • they could stop making music today and I could care less because I have all the music I would every want. I would love to have another album from bands like Tool and the likes but nothing today excites my like music used to. I miss them days but I relive them often. :)

  • fnm are phenomenal

  • yea its been to long between tool albums

  • @SugarBudZ *ROSE TINTED GLASSES ACTIVATE!*

  • faith no more's bass sound sounds like ducktales' intro's bass sound

  • @eikomikaanimioovapaa, ha...duck tails...wooo hoooo

  • ducktales link plz :) muhhahah :)

  • bad ass song and a bad ass band...hopefully more shows after coachella

  • es una cancion muy bonita! FNM Siempre! muthaf....

  • casa ocha f de é søœÿ

  • MMM bio-dome :D

  • another one on my 12 month old baby's favourite list... he goes mental for this :)

  • The song takes a shot at any kind of sanctimony, mostly from pseudo-liberal celebrities and chest thumping "patriots." I'd imagine that most of the guys in Faith No More are pretty liberal, though they don't have time for millionaires with "causes."

  • I'm not sure about that as.. it seems to me they just like culture in 1980's. From Gays to Drugs to world problems/solutions of the time, our military and so forth. The song does not seem to cast any false claim of hypocritical nature. I remember the 80's. I like them times myself. I was ignorant as I'm sure these guys were at the time as well... no Internet yet to educate us. :) But I would trade my knowledge of today anytime for the ignorant bliss of the 1987 again... :)

    Ron Paul 2012!

  • @hxtrjeff me too Bro-- any day 1987!

  • Now play it backwards.

It's even better than forwards. If your in to that kind of thing

  • The difference between the original and later versions is this:

    We care alot:

About the cabbage patch, smurfs and DMC.

About Madonna and we cop for Mr. T.

    Instead of:

    We care alot:

About the garbage pail kids they never lie,

About transformers 'cause theres more then meets the eye.

  • @LucienXavier and the original had something about "there's a brand new surfer born everyday."

I KNOW I heard a version on KROQ that said that.

I could never find it anywhere

  • You suck for listening to KSUQ.

  • WHAT ARE THE LYRICS!?!?!?!?( i know its pretty obvious )

  • We care a lot about disasters, fires, floods and killer bees

We care a lot about the NASA shuttle falling in the sea

We care a lot about starvation and the food that Live Aid bought

We care a lot about disease, baby Rock, Hudson, rock, yeah!

We care a lot about the gamblers and the pushers and the geeks

We care a lot about the crack and smack and whack that hits the street

We care a lot about the welfare of all the boys and girls

We care a lot about you people cause we're out to save the world

  • EAH!

And it's a dirty job but someone's gotta do it

We care a lot about the army navy air force and marines

We care a lot about the SF, NY and LAPD

We care a lot about you people, about your guns

about the wars you're fighting gee that looks like fun

We care a lot about the Garbage Pail Kids, they never lie

We care a lot about Transformers cause there's more than meets the eye

We care a lot about the little things, the bigger things we top

We care a lot about you people yeah you bet

  • you bet we care a lot,

    YEAH!

Well, its a dirty job but someone's gotta do it

And it's a dirty song but someone's gotta sing it

  • @hxtrjeff On line 2 it's acutally about Los Angeles falling in the sea

  • oops... yep your right. My bad.. hahaha

    Thanks Stoner.... puff puff pass

  • One of my late brother's favorite songs, particularly the lyric "About the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines" - he was an Air Force man.

  • xxxxxxx memories

  • haha... i heard this song when Guam.. I was in the Coast Guard and my best friend a DJ on the island would joke with me why they left out Coast Guard in the song. He would play at the club then yell coast guard at that part. hahaha

    yes great memories....

  • Got the CD, wanted to see if you-tube had it too. I care alot!!!!

  • I CARE MORE!!! :-)

  • Oh man.. this tune still rocks like hell!

  • GREAT BAND

  • still magic

  • I don't know what it is about this song, but I can listen to it over and over.

  • I think this song is a real piss take (irony) of liberalism and the fact that liberal twats CARE A LOT about things but ultimately are unwilling to tackle the real issues and REALLY change things for the better. they make themselves feel better by caring alot. Thats what i think anyway....you may care to reply but then..you may not!

  • @KingWasp1 I don't see what you talking about. To Care a lot does not mean your liberal. Dont most Christian Conservative care a lot???... or are they all just hypocrites? And most liberals hate our military. This song cares a lot about Army, Navy Air Force and Marines. I dont see your connection as I care a lot and an no damn liberal.

  • @hxtrjeff I think this song take a scattergun approach to publicized sanctimony. Not that there aren't people who care about troop welfare, or AIDS, or just about anything, but this song takes no prisoners of those who sell themselves on their "conspicuous compassion."

  • No, they are just making fun of the Live Aid in 1985.

  • Dirty Jobs FTW!

  • Dirty Jobs theme song!

  • I prefere introduce yourdelf version

  • this song kicks ass

  • Los Angeles falling in the sea = the NASA shuttle falling in the sea

  • Kick ass song!

  • 1985!!!! Incredible.... advanguardistic vision of metal....

  • cool, thanx for the story behind it.

  • nICE!

  • "Dirty Jobs"' theme

  • Was this the lead singer that they got rid of because he wouldn't do anything except watch porn and drink beer? Wait. Maybe that was before this?

  • sounds like that could have been me :)

  • Amazing.......I loved FNM as a teenager! Haven't heard them since!

I liked their 1st CD a lot, Mike Patton or not.

  • Oh. Whoops, sorry. Disregard my comment.

  • Uhh: Quick question: Why the hell is the video still of The Real Thing...?

  • Chuck Mosley and VUA New album out tommorow features korns Jonathan davis Faith no more Roddy Bottum John 5 from rob zombie on guitars
