Hi there, I'm from other country and I want to know if "Fish slap" has other meaning for the British people, beside the fact that it looks ridiculous and funny.
@toober529 But be sure to wear electrically insulated wellies, and stand in a bucket of cool blancmange. Latex pikes can store a hefty static charge if used too vigorously, and this may break the health and safety guidelines. That's also why you must not wear inflammable foot-ware when using electric eels.
@supersesqui In UK English, you can use use the words inflammable, combustible, or flammable. They all mean the same thing, but the choice avoids repetition within a sentence.
Because of the health and safety regs a modern version of the fish slapping dance would have to be computer generated animation. Thanks Monty Python for a funny childhood in the 1970's.
There is nothing remotely funny on TV anymore. Their shows were TV gold!
@CHAVMORON I'm not sure your first statement is true but your second is 100% incorrect.
To say there's nothing funny is stuped and I don't why I waste my time writing to a fool like you and come to think of it you almost cirtinly know what you say is incorrect or you don't watch moden comedy at all and therefore cannot make meaningfull judments about it.
Whats with the feedback?

I was asking because I saw something similar in an Spanish comedy show.
The context was a bit different (the fish slap was for sport but for a more "dramatic" reason) but I find it funny.

@manfedmedviq to my knowledge, absolutely not. Aside from being completely random and hilarious.
This will never get old. I think I'll start a fish slapping club at my high school

A "slapper" is a slut, with the emphasis on sexual availability.

Due to the depletion of fish stocks, it is now recommended that contestants use rubber fish, coated in vegetable oil.

Guess you mean 'flammable' as opposed to NON-flammable.
