Why a debate? Let's get a Ron Paul/Mike Gravel ticket going. Or a Gravel/Paul ticket. Either way, it's better than anything else we've had in a long time!
@SwampAshHSS Well who do you think Ron should run with? Most 'politicians' are corrupted and are puppets of either the UN, corporate interests, and/or central bankers. well your wrong. Most europeans work hard. Its still free market. I am in england right now everyone nice hard working people. There income tax is not %50 its %45. Also here in england most jobs you have to put in overtime if you want to get somewhere. Free heath does not take away the will to work. In matter in fact it improve it since your heathy most of the time. Dont be closed minded. travel a little bit your ll see that i am right. i hope i clear things up for you.
2) Wow 45%. Soooo much better then 50% what was I thinking? Well I see you think the government knows what to do with your money better then you do! Have fun with that. We don't want it here in America.
matter in fact its better then American heath care. I can get treatment anywhere here. Also i am American. I just travel here a lot. Also in America if you don't go into hospital that's cover by your insurance you can get denied treatment. So its not me its the fucking big company's that suck at it!
You know, the struggle isn't between the Democans and Republicrats, they are two factions of the same philosophy. The struggle is really between Liberty and Tyranny. The problem is, Mike Gravel's comments at a debate would hurt Ron Paul. He's not a good candidate, his message is to negative. Ron Paul's is positive, and he should associate with people who could hurt him especially when his campaign is so fragile.
Ron Paul, Gravel, and Kucinich - good human beings that would better the future for us all.
It's sad to see biased Obama and Clinton get all the attention. Try posting something that isn't kiss-ass for their videos - they have to be "approved."
Ron Paul, Gravel, and Kucinich are 3 dirtbags who will never be president.
Hard to get elected while bashing America, eh? Ronald Reagan would be rolling over in his grave at the thought of one of these 3 even getting close... funny thing is: NONE OF THEM ARE.
Well, there are two reasons I vote for Ron Paul - one is for him to get in office and make the changes I would like to see.
And two, to make a statement along with many others that we need a revolution. We need to be educated and not just blindly follow the mainstream meadia, thinking that it's a true reflection of reality.
Well then, you should be excited then. You will get four more years of war, decreased individual freedom, hyper inflation, deficit spending and increased debt to wonderful creditors like the Chinese. If that is what you want, it looks like that is what you will get...moron!
In 2001 gas was $1.44/gallon, today it topped $4.00/gallon. In 2001 I could fill my gas tank (18 gallons) up for $25.92 and drive (at 15 miles per gallon) for 270 miles. Today that $25.92 gets me 6.48 gallons of gas and a driving distance of 97.2 miles. That amounts to 172.8 miles of freedom for every $25.92 that George Bush has crushed...SPECIFICALLY! Any other questions?
We should do an investigation, in-depth, on just how much of a role the media's refusal to cover the non-mainstream candidates effectively and over-cover the mainstreamers has contributed to their lack of overall support nationally. It's a national disgrace! Every candidate should get equal airtime, if you ask me. Media has an obligation, a moral one if not a legal one, to give everyone a fair shake in the race, and by refusing to do so or even forbidding certain candidates from a debate
they are continuing the system of bullshit leaders in this country. When we could have real leaders like Ron paul and dennis Kucinich, instead we get weaklings like Obama, McCain and Hilary. ...no one is proposing "forcing" anything on anyone (except clinton who wants to mandate hc), the obama proposal is for making health care affordable. please elaborate on your "free market" concept, because it seems that the greed tied to human nature will overtake that as well and we'll be in the same circumstances we are now.
Well my post didnt work. Do wikipedia search on "Laissez-faire" and "Socialism". I'm through with discussing on this forum because it takes forever to type anything on youtubes stupid interface. If you want send me a direct reply I'd love to continue the debate.
Long story short when you mean universal healthcare you mean everyone. Even Obamah has said he might fine people who didnt comply, i can link you the youtube movie if you want.
Evenif he didnt, we just left it open for the next guy,.
no need to wiki it because i'm quite familiar with all elements of marxism and uhc is not socialism. "universal" does indeed mean everyone, but it doesn't mean everyone has to participate, it just means it's available to everyone. if they can find a better deal, then they have the right to go for it. as far as this comment..."Obama has said he might fine people who didnt comply" please send me this link. also, i do seem to recall asking to continue this dialog through messages in my first post.
Mike Gravel and Ron Paul are the only honest men in the two major parties running for president. I think it would be great to see them do something together. Especially now, after super Tuesday. They need to get together and make some noise!
Don't know much about Gravel, so I'll have to read up more on him, but while Kucinich does share similar views with Dr. Paul, I can't support him because he does have that Universal Health Care thing going on, still I respect a few of his stances and Gravel seems pretty cool.
c'mon cliff, would you rather have health care you could afford or would you rather give tax cuts to the upper 1% tax bracket? rolling back the bush tax cuts on that group would create nearly $500 million a year to make health care more affordable and ultimately help the economy because people wouldn't owe exorbitant amounts to the hospital and pharmaceutical industries. it's not socialism, it's fairness. if you want further explanation send me a message, don't have enough room for details here
Universal healthcare is socialism. Its a simple fact, dont pretend its not. Im a Ron Paul follower so my beleifs differ from anything you stated. I beleive in no tax. Universal healthcare will only continue to drive the price up and support the insurance/medicine cartel we currently have. If you want to lower prices then have the government get a grip on the insurance/drug company cartel. People w ho go through chemo know that its 10k a bag for chemo therapy. Universal healthcare will do squat.
oh, so you live in fantasy land. no taxes? ugh! enlighten me on who you think runs the health care system now and who you think should run it...and don't say "the people". u.s. citizens should have access to affordable health care and to let drug companies, hospitals, etc (those who make direct profit off of patients) continue to decide how much it should cost is ridiculous. some popular pharmaceuticals are marked up over 1000% profit. people shouldn't have to choose between mortgage or meds.
Your answer is typical to someone who doesnt know how the system works. I say let the free market decide but to an extent I beleive drug companies have put people in a position to take advantage of. In short, I'm not against you or a group of individuals setting up an NGO or business to manage peoples healthcare. Just let me have the free option to opt out. Is that to much to ask? Thats what I call freedom. I would rather go find my drugs by a private party, not someone whos forcing it on me.
...also, you want to talk about something the gov't will do nothing about it's their constituencies of the pharm and med industry. we will have far better results with universal healthcare than trying to rein in multi-billion/trillion $ companies. also, your chemo/hmo comment is inaccurate, because hmo has nothing to do with universal health care they're proposed as ppo.
My chemo example is 100% acurate. Its all tried together. Its all backed by the same big drug cooporations/insurance companies. If you like you can choose to change your option and agree that government should protect us against private interest like that. But not force medicare on people. There are examples around the world on why socialism doesnt work.
what does medicare have to do with anything? your example of chemo is only accurate for hmo, not ppo...i can put you in contact with a friend of mine who's a state employee and cancer survivor and he'll tell you that except for his deductible, chemo (and hospital care) was covered. unfortunately only a few lucky ones have this type of coverage. it's the same type of coverage. employees have in the senate and that's the same type of healthcare that is being proposed.
The most electable of the unelectable, make the system acknowledge the frustration and corruption. See real change respond to the numbers of people demanding truth and transparency.
People like him and Ron Paul really cheer me up. Some days I get so afraid of the corruption of our government. Im a mom. I want my kids to be free. God bless these smart great real Americans. I stand beside you.
Don't forget the rest of the world has to live with the decisions made in Washington, and that the other 5,650,000,000 people on this planet don't get a vote...
Ron Paul and Mike Gravel should hold a public awareness video. Imagine that...A Democrate and a Republican communicating earnestly. Imagine that... Go Ron Pau r3VOLution.
This is ancient, way old news. Dr. Paul is now a front runner. Liberals didn't fight to keep Gravel in debates and now he's history. They aren't fighting for Kucinich either.
thank you for posting this and yes I intend to sign the petition. I've had enough of politics "as usual." If we allow our political system to continue as it has we are creating a monster that will destroy everything through its unmitigated GREED
I hate to be the one to inform you of this maggothon, but your unalienable First Amendment Right to petition has been nullified some time ago in the U.S. District Court of Appeals (DC Circuit). The case is titled: "We the People v. United States".
It's currently up before the U.S. Supreme Court awaiting a grant of Certiorari (in other words, if they don't grant "Cert", hear the case, and decide in the affirmative, then the lower Court's decision stands -- which means that you can gather 300,000,000 signatures on a formal petition, and the Gov't doesn't even need to look at it).
We are not seeing the big picture yet. We are witnessing a battle between good and evil. We can't any longer depend on our so called leaders. MG is one person, we need more leaders like him. We have to become leaders ourselves and safe our country and planet from corruption & greed. It's time 2 wake up. We enslave ourselves for money, and then use that money to buy unnecessary things. We work, eat, find a distraction, and sleep. Same cycle till we're 80 and we never accomplish our mission.
I signed the petition before I saw this video. It would be a good debate between the two of them. It would be an awesome debate, sign the petition today.
Why not make this your media outlet? Why should we depend on Faux or cnn? I tune in to the internet not the corporate media. Make the news programs beg to get you on by showing that millions are watching you here, not there. Then when they beg, politely, publicly, decline. Lets change the way we get our news.
Why not? Because the vast majority of the sheeple in this country can barely send an email. They may have heard of ebay while watching tv, but you gotta understand, there's a technological divide out there. And we are still on the small side of the line.
Was that message for me davathar? it was put in the general comments box. If it was then to reply...
The divide is growing smaller as we can see. If a presidential candidate endorsed a debate here then it would grow smaller still. Many of us on youtube are convinced that this is the best outlet for debates.
I like this idea on the face of it but the handling of the show would be most important. The media is constantly painting Ron Paul as a "tail-end charlie" and Mike Gravel isn't winning any polls. I would hate to see something like this drop them further rather than strengthen Ron Paul's candidacy - Sen Gravel's position I'm not as concerned about but he is as exposed as Dr Paul so he oughta be.
Ron Paul, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, those people are our hopes, I don't care who, any of them is fine.

What's the matter with Universal Healthcare?
TheLangolier1939 4 years ago
know what socialism is?

Know that we have the highest infant mortality rate in the western world? A shorter average life span than FUCKING CUBA?
Militarized 4 years ago
c'mon cliff, would you rather have health care you could afford or would you rather give tax cuts to the upper 1% tax bracket? rolling back the bush tax cuts on that group would create nearly $500 million a year to make health care more affordable and ultimately help the economy because people wouldn't owe exorbitant amounts to the hospital and pharmaceutical industries. it's not socialism, it's fairness. if you want further explanation send me a message, don't have enough room for details here
K1dCharlemagne 4 years ago
Universal healthcare is socialism. Its a simple fact, dont pretend its not. Im a Ron Paul follower so my beleifs differ from anything you stated. I beleive in no tax. Universal healthcare will only continue to drive the price up and support the insurance/medicine cartel we currently have. If you want to lower prices then have the government get a grip on the insurance/drug company cartel. People w ho go through chemo know that its 10k a bag for chemo therapy. Universal healthcare will do squat.
Cliffrosson 4 years ago
oh, so you live in fantasy land. no taxes? ugh! enlighten me on who you think runs the health care system now and who you think should run it...and don't say "the people". u.s. citizens should have access to affordable health care and to let drug companies, hospitals, etc (those who make direct profit off of patients) continue to decide how much it should cost is ridiculous. some popular pharmaceuticals are marked up over 1000% profit. people shouldn't have to choose between mortgage or meds.
K1dCharlemagne 4 years ago
Your answer is typical to someone who doesnt know how the system works. I say let the free market decide but to an extent I beleive drug companies have put people in a position to take advantage of. In short, I'm not against you or a group of individuals setting up an NGO or business to manage peoples healthcare. Just let me have the free option to opt out. Is that to much to ask? Thats what I call freedom. I would rather go find my drugs by a private party, not someone whos forcing it on me.
Cliffrosson 4 years ago
...also, you want to talk about something the gov't will do nothing about it's their constituencies of the pharm and med industry. we will have far better results with universal healthcare than trying to rein in multi-billion/trillion $ companies. also, your chemo/hmo comment is inaccurate, because hmo has nothing to do with universal health care they're proposed as ppo.
K1dCharlemagne 4 years ago
My chemo example is 100% acurate. Its all tried together. Its all backed by the same big drug cooporations/insurance companies. If you like you can choose to change your option and agree that government should protect us against private interest like that. But not force medicare on people. There are examples around the world on why socialism doesnt work.
Cliffrosson 4 years ago
what does medicare have to do with anything? your example of chemo is only accurate for hmo, not ppo...i can put you in contact with a friend of mine who's a state employee and cancer survivor and he'll tell you that except for his deductible, chemo (and hospital care) was covered. unfortunately only a few lucky ones have this type of coverage. it's the same type of coverage. employees have in the senate and that's the same type of healthcare that is being proposed.

This is a non-starter.

thank you for posting this and yes I intend to sign the petition. I've had enough of politics "as usual." If we allow our political system to continue as it has we are creating a monster that will destroy everything through its unmitigated GREED
maggothon 4 years ago 2
I hate to be the one to inform you of this maggothon, but your unalienable First Amendment Right to petition has been nullified some time ago in the U.S. District Court of Appeals (DC Circuit). The case is titled: "We the People v. United States".
KobyBrandt 4 years ago 7

Why not make this your media outlet? Why should we depend on Faux or cnn? I tune in to the internet not the corporate media. Make the news programs beg to get you on by showing that millions are watching you here, not there. Then when they beg, politely, publicly, decline. Lets change the way we get our news.
kauaidivers 4 years ago
Why not? Because the vast majority of the sheeple in this country can barely send an email. They may have heard of ebay while watching tv, but you gotta understand, there's a technological divide out there. And we are still on the small side of the line.
davathar 4 years ago 3
Was that message for me davathar? it was put in the general comments box. If it was then to reply...
The divide is growing smaller as we can see. If a presidential candidate endorsed a debate here then it would grow smaller still. Many of us on youtube are convinced that this is the best outlet for debates.
Unfortunately, however, I agree with you.

Ron Paul 2008!
ajwysopal 4 years ago
I like this idea on the face of it but the handling of the show would be most important. The media is constantly painting Ron Paul as a "tail-end charlie" and Mike Gravel isn't winning any polls. I would hate to see something like this drop them further rather than strengthen Ron Paul's candidacy - Sen Gravel's position I'm not as concerned about but he is as exposed as Dr Paul so he oughta be.
