I noticed the hair curler sitting on your vanity and I was wondering what brand it was and what size of barrel cause I just got one from Salley beauty supply yesterday and I think I got too small of a barrel its a 24 mm from Rusk. okay..your back combing tips explains alot. Mine never works out, but certainly start doing it your way! You know what u hair looks gorgeous from the back combing, very sexy look! I doubt you will get hate comments, plus what works for you is what is important. I know u have mentioned it before, but what hair extensions are you using? I have thin hair and need some volume. Just gorgeous. Very helpful!

omg you have no idea how you have helped me right now i spent so much time curling my hair last weekend and putting tons of hairspray to then finally putting it in a pony tail bc it looked terribly crunchy bc of the hairspray. i use the same heat protector too. so deff trying this i hate doing my hair you have no idea lol my hair is naturally curly but if i let it air dry that way it looks really bad!!

Have you ever tried the FIRM HOLD mousse by ISO?

My hair is similar to yours and the mousse seems to be helping me with my flat roots.

If you haven't tried it, maybe give it a shot? Just a suggestion.

I've never backcombed my hair, but it is thick and down to my hips, and I only wash it every third day. If I back-combed it for 3 days straight before washing it, would it be so very knotted?  Thanks Deanne.

@HighH0rse your hair is going to be really knotty unless you try to brush it out, but usually when i tease my hair it will fall out naturally while im sleeping at night. i wouldnt worry to much about it, you can always comb it out :)
