  • do they still sell this stuff? I remember it was cutting edge almost 10 years ago

  • rambus memory- FANTASTIC memory (samsung)

  • RDRAM is so ridiculously expensive its not mentioned much in the computer world, but it is super fast and is great if you can afford even 128MB of it (200 bucks!!)

  • it wasn't actually 800mhz, the real clcok is 800mt(200mhz memory bus x 2 i/o bus x2 dual data rate) it use the architecture similar to quad pumping in intel fsb in pentium 4 era and ddr2/3. thus has really damn high cycle latensy just like ddr2/ddr3 but really poor performance due to the extremely narrow bus width and lack of instruction fix.

  • wrong.

  • prove me how is it wrong?

  • Quote from WikiAnswers "RDRAM stands for Rambus Dynamic Random Access Memory. SDRAM stands for Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory. The two memories are completely different memory technologies and are not compatible with each other. RDRAM is a unique design developed by a company called Rambus, Inc. RDRAM is extremely fast and uses a narrow, high-bandwidth "channel" to transmit data at speeds much faster than SDRAM. "

    So there's your answer

  • @cpthollis BRAVO coment

  • what is RDRAM? I only know about DDR SDRAM
