  • We did not fight for liberation we fought because we got attacked and wanted revenge. all that bull shit that we went to war to save the prisoners was just a way to get men to join.

  • his last line .. awesome stuff!

  • Get a good look at this man. Men like this are the definition of heroes.

  • @Jonnyreb1988, bullshit.

  • @wilson60634 What do you mean "pearl Harbor was a big part" Dude It started the fucking war. And for you to say "If u weren't affected by it directly you might need more reason to kill other men" Dude you are like the fucking rest of Americas horrible society, The ones that say If It didn't happen to them then turn the other way. Thousands died On that Day. Don't forget that.

  • i feel so sorry for these brave american men.

at the beginning they weren't even involved in the war till the american government declared war to germany and japan.

they had no choice but to fight for no reason.

i cant even imagine 1% of what they've been going trough.

    big props to these guys!

  • @LpBonecrack with respect look up pearl harbour 7th dec 1941a good reason

  • @LpBonecrack Go back to school buddy. Japan attacked USA - which is pretty much a declaration of war, wouldnt you say? Shortly after Germany declared war on the USA. This was within the agreement Hitler had with the Japanese. I wonder what posesses you to write the nonsense you do. I hope it is lack of education. I expect howver, that it is wishful thinking. A shame that people like you are still around.

  • @cfodk

no need to be rude bro.

overall i just wanted to point out that these people deserve much respect.

but thanks for education class anyways:)

  • @LpBonecrack Perhaps as English is not your first language you made an error when suggesting the US declared war on Germany & Japan. History says otherwise.

  • Hurray to this man and all the fighting men of the Allied militaries who liberated so many camps and victims of the Holocaust.

  • I dont even know what they're arguing about...total idiots

  • playinragz...note this eyewitness account...

"US soldiers, shocked at what they discovered in the concentration camp, murdered an estimated 50 to 120 German soldiers whom they had taken prisoner...As soon as the shooting started, the battalion commander, Colonel Felix L. Sparks, was alerted by the sound of gunfire and ran over to stop the shooting."Buechner, Howard A. (1986). Dachau - The Hour of the Avenger: An Eyewitness Account.

  • I was personally told an account of this by a man who was there. He was my freind's father a doctor now deceased. He was my mother's family doctor when she was a child in the late 40's/50's and also he told my grandparents the same account of what he saw at Dachau He began service as a medic before the war started and was at Pearl Harbor on Dec 07 41, his war ended after Dachau when he was wounded by mortar fire.

Jews (inmates) were given tommy guns by U.S. troops and allowed to shoot SS gaurds

  • @DanOblacksmith well he lied to you considering the troops from pearl harbor fought in the south pacific

  • Go back and reread the post dumbass.

He was already in the army before the war started, he was not a draftee. Plenty of our servicemen saw service in multiple theatres throughout the war. He related to me how the officers present at the shootings did in fact put a stop to it, just about the time they were running out of .45 ACP and guards to shoot...

Also an uncle of mine who fought in the Bulge had a cigar box of SS collar tabs, he showed me when I was a kid. Not souvenirs he said, (cont)

  • "After Malmedy we did'nt take any SS prisoners". "They were so proud of their SS collar tabs, always made sure to have them outside their coats so you could always see them". He must have had more than two dozen in that box and was proud to say they were his personal kills.

"Those SS guys were some real dirty bastards and got no respect because they did'nt deserve it". Regular german troops who surendered were treated correctly but among our GIs after Malmedy the SS were marked for destruction.

  • I wish I was around then to shake their hands & congradulate them for doing so

  • Lest we forget, on April 29, 1945 US soldiers of the 45th ID lined up and shot approximately 50 SS guards at Dachau. Other accounts put the death count of SS at 300. I do not point any finger at US troops nor deny the holocaust. What we must understand is that we need to remember it ALL if we are ever to learn what makes humans tick.

  • NONSENCE. Germans were long gone from that camp on arrival.. they like Berlin left !! The worst part in the story in 1,000's of Germans who participated in the death camps went home to live lives instead of bieng shot or hung. Thats the fact dummy

  • @flatblackrose but how can we learn it all when it is illegal to research and report in europe on the holocaust??

  • My grandpa was in that same divion 222nd company b he liberated dachau. I just got back from the reunion about a week ago. It was in dayton ohio and those men are great and very funny!! They all had smiles on their faces and had great stories to tell. Always remember these great men that change the world forever!!

  • Thank you for telling this important story... he hit on the key... the holocaust made them realize why they were fighting that war.

  • My grandpa was in the same division and saw the camp on that day, he saw some tragic things...

  • respect to each soldier you have interviewed, i cannot imagine the pain, torment, anguish and hurt the soldiers expierenced. Respect to the holocost victums who endured such torture but as we still see today, genocide carrys on in places like darfur. Respect to yourselves, fantastic videos which educate and are thought provoking. Keep them up

  • @matleo143 or thought controlling
