  • When you gave the French accent example, did you say erect?

  • @LittleGagePlanet No, he actually said " arrête " ( which means "stop it" )

  • "Donde están los lávabos por favor" jajajaja How should i do an Hindu accent?

  • tell me about the accent i'm french!

  • I can't roll my R's. Spanish class and French class both proved this fact. But I got the r/l sound in Japanese, so it's cool. :D

  • @emeliakanson91 GAH! I'm the exact opposite... T.T

  • @AmberGrey0012 It's pretty easy--you just lightly touch the top of your mouth with the tip of your tongue while the sounds come from your throat. Remove the tip of your tongue quickly to end it to get that 'd' sound that's also in there. Try it with "ru"~

  • I need to learn to lose my Geordie accent because I want to be an english teacher

  • Borned in Spain, speaking English since the age of 6 and from that age, I´ve been emulating standard British accent. I´ve got it quite good but I´m afraid I have to go to England to keep it up!

  • his eyes are crazyyy

  • for someone who wants to lose ther accent?? well dont its the most characteristic thing in you and you should keep that for local pride.

  • @j0rdyb0y62 Some people may want to lose it if learning a new language to sound like a native speaker, or if they are an actor.

  • @RedSandStudios i said, "for people who lose ther accent".

  • @j0rdyb0y62 not if you're from the midwest like me. I hate it, don'tcha know.

  • @CAPUSA agree with you on that one lol

  • I don't find his example about the spanish language to be accurate. We too stress syllables when we speak, the only difference with english is that we have a " ´ " to stress what the "loud" part of the word is in most of them, while in english you do this without any stress mark.

  • I'm Filipino and I have a great American accent and grammar, come on guys! don't be a racist bastard cuz we filipino's are bad ass at speaking English, we are ONE of the best asian english speakers but not ALL speak english since......you guessed it, IT'S A FREAKIN' THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!!! T_T

  • im inglish i live in the usa

  • @SuperDeuser obviously, or you would have spelt english, english.

  • i have a thick irish accent can u helpme please

  • @MrHunter90210

Yes! I'd love that! If I had the choice then BBC and Irish "accent" were my favorite "accents"

But people, be careful: when talkng about Irish, Britsh, American "accent", you actually mean "dialect". Accents occur, when different languages (like German and English) are involved. BBC English is either a variation or a dialect, not an accent. I do linguisitics, I'm pretty sure of what I just said.

  • @MrHunter90210 Keep it!! Irish accents are sexy!

  • where

  • I'm Brazilian and I'm whereing a black t-shirt , wear is it now? lol

  • DAM-DADA-DAMDA-DDAM, lol

  • dum dee dee dum :)

  • your Spanish is terrible my friend!

  • His Rrr is somewhat hilarious, when he is trying to do a French one...

Where I come from we usually say the r, but it`s faint. It doesn`t sound like the standard English r, but not the rrrrr like french or Italian, it sounds a little bit like English people that are trying to do the rrr it but cant, but we use the r way more often than in standard english=) it`s stronger pronounced before vowels.

How dull, I ended up explaining how we speak! I bet you consider this as interesting^^

  • Comment removed

  • That Rrr, is in the Arabic language too. :D

  • @ertegin and in Portuguese! ^^

  • rapping 'where are the toilets please'

  • am i the only one that thought he said shit

  • DAMN. You have 2.306 videos? Wow..

  • hes shhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt

  • Does anyone else think he sounds like David Cameron?

  • step one, hit your face with a brick

  • no creo que exista un lugar hispanohablante donde "toilet" y "lavabo" signifiquen lo mismo...

  • Why would anyone what to lose their accent completely? It makes one a much more colorful character, as long as they can be easily understood.

  • Spanish isn't like that, its like French and Italian... we use tonic accents to increase length in different syllables. English speakers cant understand that because they have simpler grammar and can use one word to mean many things, according to the context in which it is used. For example, "its" and "it´s" differ in significance, like in Spanish "tú" and "tu", "sé" and "se" "ésta", "esta" and "está" and they are all pronounced differently.

  • Actually the important trail when pronouncing Spanish is the strength of the sylable not its length. And, yes, we Spanish people don't realize, but we sound like a machine gun to English speaking people. Specialy some Spanish accents. Take Mexican Spanish. It sounds machine gunned even in my ears and I am a native Spanish speaker from the north of Spain.

  • Anyway it's also true that some Spanish accents are more "musical" and it seems to me that the tonic sylable is longer than the rest. That's the case in Argentinian Spanish It sounds somehow like Italian. Don't you think so?

  • well, my grandmother is french and she always says to me: "alé, alé, ma fille, we agge goingg stggaith away to the doctogg" she lived and she stills living in london since 1970 lol

  • Please do the Dutch accent!!!

  • @timtamothy21

I'm German, and even I have to say that the Dutch accent is too similar to the German one to make a difference. There *ARE* some sounds however, that can be found in one, but not in the other language. But Germans understand a lot of Dutch and it works even better the other way around.

  • I cant seem to lose my Antarctican accent for some reason. Can someone help

  • @SurgeRuiz Are you trying to change it to english its very easy.

  • @SurgeRuiz but you have to be willing to put in at least a year.

  • Well i live in Bulgaria and i have russian accent.Whatever i try my stupid accent never go away.Really want to learn na australian accent but first i need to remove my russian one.In Bulgaria we speak bulgarian wich is kinda simular to russian and practicing english is kinda hard because in school i learn french, not english.. ;x If u guys have some ideas how to remove russian accent ,pls tell me :)

  • @hotwheels1997 do the opposite of what he says to do in the how to speak with the russian accent video.

  • Whenever I need to ask where the toilets are... I will sing them like him!

  • When I was a teenager, I used to have an Italian marked accent and actually English was a sort of mediation language, that is to say I used to keep thinking in Italian and translating in English.

In order to lose your native accent (that is a sort of memory of the dependence between your native language and your english), I think you really have to forget about your native language and assume English as another language, that is to say that you think in English and of course you speak imitating

  • Once you get the rythm and you see how it works, it's very simple indeed because you think in English and you've got in your mind everyday experiences (and dialogues of course) that become part of yourself until you find sponteneous to think in English! You've got to keep practising of course, or at least keeping up listening to the English TV if you go back to your native country!

  • My friend lost her southern accent and got a new jersey accent she was originally from tenessee but moved to new jersey in 6 grade

  • Who does he think he is?

  • @camrynmessmore Uh.... A voice actor?

  • Did Anyone realise that he always where the SAME shirt?

  • @kelvin12king Because the videos were probably all made in one day.

  • @kelvin12king

They are only short clips - he probably shot them all in one day.

  • @kelvin12king Most 2-5 minute how-to videos are recorded in one setting and then split up.

  • @kelvin12king all of his vids were uploaded on the same day sooo...

  • @kelvin12king Probably because all the language videos he has done were filmed in succession with one another.

  • @kelvin12king it's all done in one day.

  • @kelvin12king OMG he does

  • @kelvin12king he recorded all these in the same session, most likely

  • @kelvin12king I think its all filmed in one day

  • @kelvin12king *wears?

and its probably cause he shot them all at the same time? :S

  • @kelvin12king He probably recorded them all in one day. Or he's just dirty.

  • @kelvin12king wear*

  • @kelvin12king he always "where"???????

  • @kelvin12king where? where?

  • @kelvin12king he took arrows to his other shirts

  • @kelvin12king he wears the same shirt because he did all these videos in the same day

  • @kelvin12king Did anyone notice that he probably did it all on the same day?

  • Yeah, we speaking English emphasize on the keywords of the sentence because it's easier to understand, Spanish is so hard to understand as a second language, even if you have a good vocabulary, because you can't tell where one word ends and the next begins xD

  • you sir, are a bellend.

  • The Swedish accent is so annoying. I hate it. Unfortnetly I'm swedish..

  • Does anybody know why is the British accent so annoying?, every time I listen to it I get a headache.

  • @click657 No I do not find the "British accent" so annoying. There are many British accents so you need to specify which one. I speak with a southern English accent and I do find accents from the midlands and north England quite annoying but not as much as I do American or Canadian accents.

Also you should have said "Does anybody know why the British accest is so annoying?"

Can you explain why it is "So annoying" ? Annoying compared to what?

  • 'Another sound is ''ew'' in ''shit'' '
