When I was 7 I had a massive phobia of sharks and my mom took me on the Jaws ride in orlando where they have the fake shark attack your boat and make it seem like an accident. The only thing is...they didn't tell me it was fake and I started freaking out and crying..... And people wonder why i'm messed up.

omg! that is a sad story! you do have a reason, unlike most of the people out there who develop their phobia watching shark attack movies. i have had a terrible phobia of snakes all my life, but i can`t remember why, i even start shaking when i see a pic of one... it is a little better lately since i`ve been able to control myself and look at those for a while when i come across them on the internet.

If you seen the behind the scenes of a new hope youll see how low tech it was, R2 was a midget in a metal tube, the death star trench scene was filmed in a driveway. Star wars is scifi, its suposed to have alot of expensive special effects, jaws is a shark movie, which I think had a smaller budget then star wars so its the 70s what do you expect?

This movie was everything Jaws was not. Jaws had intelligent characters with whom the audience could indentify. Jaws 2 had obnoxious teens that could not act just like most horror slasher films. Yes I liked this film when it came out in 1978 and I was 8 years old but as an adult I realize just how far apart these two films are.Jaws is a classic. One of the best films[Not just horror film] of all time.Jaws 2 is a slasher film on the water

@tdelamont I agree. for once however I would like to see somebody in the movie industry have some artistic integrity. Jaws did not need a sequel . It was a classic film. There are some exceptions though.For example the Godfather part 2 because both movies are based on the one Godfather novel.Godfather 2 was just a continuation of the same story. Jaws was a novel also but it had been concluded in the first film and as you know Jaws 2 had nothing to do with the original novel

Here it goes, 1 was classic but the fact was.. I needed the shark present and i didn't see it until the end...2 was awesome and the finale was sick! 3... was downright boring and random? 4 was a little weird and it got annoying with the mother and the finale was cool but sort of dumb.

Well, JAWS is the original one and 3 great actors are performing. This time we know the menace and 2 actors are missing. That Jaws 2 was a great movie! Spielburgs first thought before a shark was a salt water croc believe it or not....Both creatures would have been equivical to eachother 25ft long, 5 tons. But Spielburg said the croc woulda been harder to spot, and the shark brought out the terror with the dorsal fin. honestly - the scene with Michael about to get eaten by the shark from the boad side - the croc woulda got him because its snout and jaws were bigger:)) A little movie trivia for yas

I saw it in 1978 at PARIS(cinema "Miramar" near Montparnasse) and I can tell you that all the audience were frightned,and when the shark came out several times,ever'rybody screaming!

It's a very good sequel but JAWS 1 by Spielberg is still scary and fantastic and the greatest of the four movie about it.

i would go swimming with a friend at his grannie's place. she lived in a really nice apt in a swank building. at the very top was an indoor pool, not very big but it was dark in there cus we'd go at night. and there was just this dim light in the pool on both ends. i was scared shitless to swim to the deep end cus of this movie.
