@joakimr91 Lapland was mentioned in the video though. Not saying you are wrong though. Maybe it's intended to appear as Finland, but flmed up in Sweden? Ah well =P
@TotalErajorma This is filmed i Kiruna, Sweden and the snowmobile racing was filmed at Hogheden circuit in Alvsbyn, Sweden. I was the contact person in Alvsbyn.
@KsEInFlames The Yamaha Bravo 250 was the very first snowmobile that's I've EVER ridden... It was a blast and a great beginner's sled, I still remember the great times with it! I own a Ski-Doo now and it is a completely different beast, not recommended for beginners nor the faint-at-heart. LOL!
@SilverHawkk we actually had a few bravos throughout the years. But finally last year our two remaining got to the point where every time you would go out another part would break. They were great though. I now drive an MXZ or at least hoping
1:35 "...when half the time you can't see where you're going..." - That's why it's good to be in the lead.
Andy Capp explained how to win a race - start off in the lead and improve your position throughout the race. Sorry, just a bit of early morning rambling.
Finnmark, Norway. Lappland, Sweden and Lappi, Finland are all called Lapland in English.
I don't think this is filmed in Sweden. Far as I know Top Gear have never been to Sweden, except that time Clarkson raced to Norway after having some spunk in Denmark.
Invented in Quebec, snowmobiles were the first motorized land vehicle that reached the North Pole. The expedition was lead Ralph Plaisted, and included the inventor's nephew Jean-Luc Bombardier. After 43 days on April 19, 1968 the American Air Force, which had been following the expedition, confirmed that the team had reached the 90th. The aviators told the heroes of their victory: "Gentlemen, from where you stand, everywhere is south."
I would have wanted to see Clarkson trying ride the thing. I've done some sledding and it is surprisingly exhausting when going fast. And Jezza is no athlete.. :D
wow....i cant believe i have to explain this....you stop...you sink....your not just going to keep going and going and going and never stop...and it kinda hard to turn on a snow mobile when your on water....
lmfao that snow was damn deep even for Jezza XD I bet Richard would have just jumped off and disappeared completely. or it'd be just the top of his head haha

yes and thats why it says topgear in the top left hand conner
trailrider92 3 years ago
I do not know why it has "Top Gear" watermarked over the video... but I can assure it IS NOT "Top Gear".
It is a BBC show called "Jeremy Clarksons Extreme Machines".
And if you had a brain even half the size of a peanut, you would also notice the TITLE.
Dagashi6669 3 years ago 5
its early top gear before james and hammond or jason
Awesomeman1987 3 years ago
It's not "Top Gear before James and Hammond or Jason"... it's simply not Top Gear.
Clarkson also did a program very similar to Top Gear called "Fifth Gear".
Is that also Top Gear "before James and Hammond or Jason"??
May also has his own show called "James May's 20th Century".
Is that Top Gear without Clarkson, Hammond and Jason??
Just recognise each show as an individual, as you would do a set of twins, and leave it at that.
