  • Yeah congrats to Taylor but how dare she beat lea Michele

  • I like taylor her voice is good her songs are great but a role as eponie should be sang by a powerfull voice then taylor's so Lea totally should be eponie and don't get me wrong lea is the first one on my top ten list taylor is 5th or 7th anyways lea should play eponie :)

  • Taylor Swift FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!!!! Everybody's being mean! Taylor Swift is AWESOME and deserves the role! Stop being jerks, please???

  • @katty3twilight

It's not mean to be honest about her limited voice capability compared to a singer like Lea.

  • NO.

    FUCKING.

    WAY.

    UNACCEPTABLE.

  • TAYLOR SWIFT IS CRAP

  • NO I WOLULD LIKE TO SEE LEA MICHELE

  • Taylor is very talented but the wrong choice for this part. Bad casting choice, very bad. Lea is the only choice.

  • Yes Taylor Swift Rocks at all she does she is an angel i try to dress like her every day!

  • Taylor Swift as Eponine would be SO wrong >>

  • Too bad she not gonna play eponine anymore its Samantha Barks

  • Yay!!! No Taylor!!! Someone with more experience is playing Eponine! Samantha Barks!!!!

  • Forget Taylor Swift and Lea Michele! Have you not heard? The legendary Cameron Mackintosh himself has just announced on stage after a show on the national tour of Oliver that Samantha Barks will be playing the role of Eponine! :D

I hate how they're going to make this movie very "hollywood". I hope she shows Hollywood how the West End do it.

Now all they need is Alfie Boe, Ramin Karimloo, Earl Carpenter, Katie Hall and John Owen Jones and we got ourself a movie!

  • Lea Michele!

  • Thumbs Up if you want Lea Michele to be Eponine on the Les Mis Movie Adaptation

  • OMG~~~~ can't believe it's happened

  • they might as well give the role to Kristen Stewart.

  • noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  • i think people are forgetting how busy she is... shes got Australian tour dates coming up, then she has to do publicity for the film The Lorax that shes starring in, then shes probably going to have to work on her album which will probably come out in late October/ early November this year...

so, even if this rumour is true, i dont think she'll accept...

  • Taylor is talented, she came before the Glee stars, and she has three successful albums. She got a lot of rewards for country artist in 2010. Haters gonna hate.

  • amanda seyfreid would be great as cosette. thats how i imagined cosette while reading the book. and taylor swift as eponine? all i can say is good luck

  • i dont think she ll suprise us at all...come on...lea s voice is really amazing..have you heard her singin...and how will taylor sing on my own....with guitar...sad life...and i m no hater i m just talking truth...director of this probably lost mind after casting so many great starts he fell apart on important thing

  • I'm never watching this movie kthx.

  • Oh I love Taylor, she is pure talent but...Lea is a MUSICAL star.

  • yessss i want taylor swift to be in the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't wait for the film, it's my all time favourite musical!!!!! Just as long as they pick the right people for the roles, then I'll be happy

  • Hmm, I don't know if taylor swifts voice is right for eponine. I think that lea Michele would be better for this role.

  • It could be worse. They could have cast Rebecca Black or Miley Cyrus in the role. :\

  • Okay now, Taylor isn't meant for Broadway and in fact, she was never meant to. Her voice sound pretty good but her voice isn't the same as the other contenders were. In my personal judging, I'll root for Lea. Lea is epic and she has the perfect voice. Lea has proved this for many years now. She has the spark and the acting skills. She has the power to captivate every single person's heart. While Taylor doesn't have any of Lea's power. I can't even imagine Taylor singing 'On My Own'.

  • Everyone needs to take a chill pill. These comment pages are made for people to state their opinion! I honestly don't know why everyone won't give Taylor a chance at this though. I understand that some glee fans wanted Lea to get the role and are very protective about this, however, I don't think that it's fair that they criticize Taylor on her singing and acting just because Lea didn't get the role. After all, Taylor did get the part of Eponine because of her talent of both acting and singing!

  • @AwkeeGee333 YEAH!! and you do know you wrote it 3 times?

  • @DjCwardio yeah, my phone is a bit weird today...and stop youtube stalking me >_<

  • Nooo Lea is destined for this role

  • I think I am the only one who loves that Taylor beat Lea..:)

  • BATTLE OF THE BLONDES: CORSETTE versus EPONINE

which blonde will get the boy with the curly hair?

  • @mikechinaboy it's COSETTE.

  • The people who signed Swift on are probably *FACEPALMING* themselves after seeing the dislikes.

  • eponine in Hugo's book and most musicals is not blonde.that is all.

  • Disappointing news indeed.

  • wowwwwwwwww . goldielocks beat lea michelle . very surprising . how did she do that .

  • Fuck Scarlett (I don't like her), but...Lea??!?! I love love love love Taylor, but this role is MADE for Lea...or Lea is made for it...is should've beem her =/

  • Wow, Taylor is amazing. But Lea is sooooo for this role!

  • wowwwww. taylor swift over lea michele and scarlett johanssen?? SHAKING MY FUCKING HEAD.

  • look ! for the ppl who cast the rools of the characters , it doesn't matter who has better voice , it matters who will attract more views to the theaters , and i honestly am saying that if lea was playing this rool , i would not see the movie , but if taylor do it , i will go see it , even if i am not that big of a fan of taylor , but i would go see the movie!!! just deal with it , and don't give clevver tv dislikes , they had nothing to do with choosing the rools, they just told you about it !!

  • I personally didn't want any of them to have the role.

I don't think Taylor's vocals (despite being a fan of hers) are strong enough to take on the role of Eponine. However, no matter how wide Lea's vocal range may be, I just don't like the tone of her voice.

I wish they'd just stuck to having people from the West End cast doing the roles like Ramin Karimloo, Katie Hall, Earl Carpenter, Alfie Boe and so on. Why'd they have to make it 'hollywood'. I'm ashamed of Cameron Mackintosh right now.

  • come on you taylor fans !!! you're comments makes me think that you haven't heard her powerful voice! come on guys !!! listen to you're not sorry, or haunted or dear john !!!! I am so hurt right now !!

  • Shocked! I am a huge Taylor Swift fan...she is practically my idol...but I'm sorry, if she really has got that part instead of Lea Michele then it's a travisty! Taylor is amazing but when it comes to having a powerful enough voice for this part, Lea is made for it!

  • No... No.. Taylor.. No.

Lea Has A More Broadway Voice... Taylor is just... No..

  • Les Miserables is not just a musical. its is the best production I have ever seen in my entire life! And I have been waiting for the movie for a long time now and I find out that some country pop star is going to play my favorite character. no. just I cannot accept this. I love her music but I swear that if she gets up on the screen with her country accent I might just blow the biggest temper tantrum in the history of temper tantrums. They are definetly going to lost some seats in the theatres.

  • @stewartpictures you should see phantom of the opera then

  • You can totally tell she wasn't picked for her talent. Just to fill in some seats in the theaters. I'm so tired of all the mainstream artists thinking they can take on professional theater because they never live up to the broadway stars who don't get enough credit. Nick Jonas as Maruius was horrible. Now Taylor Swift. 2012 must really be the end

  • now i want a sample of taylor swift singing atleast 'on my own'. i cant judge her immediately, she got this part maybe because she's got the talent, and maybe she'll undergo trainin. let's just wait for the movie, then judge. we can't pre-judge her!

  • Taylor Swift isn't suited for the role of Eponine. They should have picked Lea Michele HANDS DOWN!

  • Taylor can't even sing! I hope this bombs. I'm so sick of pop stars who think they can really sing or ACTUALLY act. It makes me sick.

  • Comment removed

  • Um, really, what does it matter. Why would they pick Taylor if they had any sort of doubt that it would ruin their film? I think everyone should go listen to her performance of Safe & Sound Live, then maybe rethink the "can't hit any notes" thing. Just saying.

  • oh hell no

  • ATLEAST SAY THE NAMES RIGHT YOU REPORTER

  • its cOOOOOOOsette not cAsette

  • The thing is that musical theater/opera differs from pop/country and I am not sure Taylor is right for the role because of this. I sing lyrical but i cannot sing rock. I wis we could hear more of her musical stuff and then decide as fans.

  • There is a reason Taylor was picked. If she didn't have "talent" then the producers obviously wouldn't pick her, so stfu. There's a reason all her albums have gone platinum

  • Honestly, if you think Taylor can't sing live you are obviously dumb. She has won MULTIPLE Grammys. And if that doesn't get through your thick skull just listen to her sing live. Search up her singing Safe and Sound live. Her voice is amazing there.

  • lets just say, if taylor has a schedule conflict, it will be the most enjoyable moment of my life.

  • I love Taylor Swift...but...she can't be Eponine! No! NO!!! Demi Lovato would even be a better fit...

  • Taylor is a good singer. I like her songs and her music. However, Les Mis. is my favorite musical and i have to admit (as much as i can not stand glee) Lea Michele would do a much better part with the role. i hope she does not accept.

  • every word that you say is a dagger in me...

  • Okay, do any of you know ANYTHING about Les Miserables and musical theatre in general? The whole point is to find the MOST TALENTED people and put them on stage. In my opinion, Taylor Swift does not belong in that category. Her voice isn't strong and her acting talent is even more disappointing. Now, I'm not trying to bash on Swift. I like some of her songs too. But she is not the right person for this role. I don't care about Lea of Scarlet. All I know is, Swift will ruin this film.

  • @shksaplan You are not making the film though. Your opinion is your opinion and not that of the director and producers. They are the professional film makers & in spite of what people want to think they did not choose Taylor because she is guaranteed to fill seats. They want to make money yes, but no matter how many fans she has if the film is bad it will not make money. In the end her being chosen seems like it is not going to matter as there is no news she has actually accepted.

  • @NJRinglord Okay, if not to fill seats why would they pick her? Why would they even ask her? If you know something I don't, please share, because I can't see one reason other than they need people to come watch it. And sure, who gives a shit about my opinion? I'm just saying that for true musical theatre goers it's a pretty low blow. It's not her fault, she just doesn't fit the role. And since when are you the opinion police? I can post here like anyone else. Right? P.S. She did accept it.

  • @shksaplan Anyone who goes to see any film can get up if they feel the film is crap, go to the customer service counter and get their money back. Fans or not if the film is bad they are not going to sit through it. Risking the studios money on name recognition alone is not going to help the director or the producers get future work if they put out a flop. Especially if it flops because people got up and left to get refunds instead of not even showing up at all. Really, not trying to..

  • @shksaplan ... police anyone's opinion. I expect people to have other opinions. I just am trying to get people to look at things objectively and reserve judgement until we see and hear something from the production. I missed when she accepted the role apparently and if she is doing it I sincerely hope she does a great job, am I completely convinced she will? No, but I am willing to wait until I see her work in the role before I judge it.

  • @NJRinglord Yeah, I see what you're saying. But based on her vocal abilities and past acting, I really cannot believe the casting director would chose her because of her talent. And I'm sure we'd be surprised at how many times people are put into movies just to get people to the theatre. Putting her as Eponine shows everyone that you're not necessarily chosen on your talent, but your following-- who you know and who knows you. And for a theatre major that is unbelievably disappointing.

  • @shksaplan Well to me anyway I just can't see the director and producers doing that for this film with such an iconic role. If it was a new film nobody had heard the name of before I would be more inclined to agree that they could be looking for name recognition to fill seats, but I don't see them wanting their names anywhere near this film if that i truly why they cast her & it flops. If you continue in theatre after you graduate make sure to get your SAG membership too just in case

  • OMG!!!!!! i can't believe Taylor will take this role !!!!!

  • i LOVE taylor. but her voice is a pop voice. Lea and Scarlet's voices both would be MUCH better suited to eponine. and Lea already has proved herself in that role on the stage. Sorry Taylor, i love you. i really do. and hey, maybe you'll superise us in this role. but Lea was deffinatly the more obvious choice vocally.

  • Why was Lea Michele even up for this role? .... lol Taylor Swift deserves this. Lea Michele has an annoying voice and I'm glad Taylor Swift won this.

  • @gottalovedabiebs Um, can I just ask how old you are?

  • @shksaplan ...... does it even matter? and I'm 15 and old enough to know that Taylor Swift is a grammy winning singer whereas Lea is .... irrelevant

  • @gottalovedabiebs Alright, you're fifteen, so I'll forgive you for not realizing that real singers don't need auto-tune. Taylor Swift has a nice enough voice, but it has no depth or power, and I'm speaking strictly from vocal knowledge here. I admit Lea isn't my favorite and probably not my first choice as Eponine, but at least she could hit the notes. And just so you know, the Grammys are based on who sells the most albums, not on an artist's actual talent.

  • @gottalovedabiebs Swift didn't win because she was good, she won because there a billions of girls like you who have iTunes gift cards or parents with money, who appreciate her wholesome lyrics and role model attitude.

  • @gottalovedabiebs irrelevant?! Lea Michele is a broadway star. I'm sorry, but as we are speaking of Les Miserables -- a broadway musical -- it's pretty stupid of you to say Lea is irrelevant. Lea can sing broadway, taylor can sing country. Hmm. hope she surprises us.

  • @gottalovedabiebs I hope you realize that Lea Michelle has not only played young cosette but has also played Eponine numerous times. So I don't believe that she is irrlevant. and This is also a FRENCH musical which I don't think needs to involve a country girl. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift but she just needs to just stay in a feild that she is good at. Country music.

  • Sigh arguments

  • i love taylor swift and i think she's awesome...but not for this. personally, i've never watched a performance of les miserables, but from what i've heard it's pretty strenuous. and i honestly don't think taylor swift could pull it off vocally. :/

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Taylor she's pure talent,I'm a swiftie but Lea is a star and she BELONGS to that role...

  • go taylor!

  • I'm a fan of Taylor, but Lea Michele BELONGS to that role, and her voice is so much STRONGER, i just can't UGHHH!

  • I love Taylor Swift and all but...

WHAT? I mean if she can pull it off... all luck to her, but... REALLY!?!?

    I mean...

    REALLY?

  • @abfsmiles Yes, Taylor Swift can pull it off....with the help of auto-tune

  • ummmmmm, NOOOOOO!!!!!

  • Good job Taylor. am proud of you!

  • Ugh....Taylor as eponine? its just totally wrong!

  • Can the T.Swift fans calm down a little and try not to cuss so much? Thanks :) Here's the deal: some people love Taylor, some love Lea. That's fine. However, it's stupid and mean to tell someone their opinion is wrong. An opinion is an opinion, not a fact. Anyway, I wish Lea Michele got the role.

  • I dreamed a dream Taylor Swift was in Les Miserables & woke up screaming. I know they won't let her sound bad (its Hollywood, come on: sfx). But I know that she could never in a million years sing On My Own on her own. Underrated stars like Lea Salonga have been kicking butt at this show for years & I never would have thought some phony country pop star from Pennsylvania who only sings about boys & prom with the breath support of a 80 year old man would been given an opportunity like this.

  • @taylorswiftfanzgirl Les miserable songs are much difficult than that.

  • @Falvernns Yeah I know. I've heard the songs from Les ore times than yo'll ever know. I own the CD and have seen the show i the front row. I knew Les.

  • If Taylor gets this... I hope she does amazing and proves you all wrong. I hope she shows her true talents and proves to all the disbelievers that she has what it takes. I know she doesn't have a strong voice but she has a strong personallity and connection to thr role. Lea Michele isn't perfect for everyting. Her voice is great but just...No...No...No... I'm not sure why they picked Taylor but if Taylor does do it then...I know she'll pur her everything into. Like everything else she doesm

  • @taylorswiftfanzgirl have you ever seen or listened to the songs from les miserables??!! taylor swift is the absolute last person who could fit this role!!! her voice is wrong, her image is wrong, and she has to live up to all the broadway legends!!! dont get me wrong, i like taylor swift.she just isnt right at all for this role!!! lea michelle is!!! and i dont think she could pull off the emotional intensity that the role needs, since she is a singer first, not an actor...

  • @Drew27Berna11 Yes. I've seen the show. In the front row actually. Eponine is my favorite character. You are wrong. Taylor has the ability to tap into that kind of emotion. She has felt it. She can do it. I know she'll do it well. She is put her soul into and and hopefully prove all of you wrong. I have faith in her and I believe in her. Sometimes doubt is the best modivater. So people keeo dobting.

  • @taylorswiftfanzgirl ok...its not only the acting, taylor is a country/pop artist. i dont know if she could pull off such challenging vocals. but i do hope she proves me wrong. i wish her the best of luck, but i just cant see her as eponine. i love les miserables and i cant wait for it to come out, and im excited to see how she does. :)

  • Gosh I really hate Taylor doesn't she know its leas dream I bets Taylor's doing it on purpose jelly much

  • I'm going to laugh when everybody winds up being wrong and Taylor doesn't get the role. I mean, the best that anybody has is that an anonymous source says Swift got offered the role. And that's from ONE website. No other website has been personally told. Sounds to me like someone just wants to make a fuss.

  • I wanna see Lea!!!

  • I would love to see Taylor take on something like this!

  • Comment removed

  • Now I am a fan of both ladies, but different voices are best at different styles of singing. Taylor does well in country/pop music, but Lea has a better fit voice for theater. It's stronger, richer, smoother, and to top it off Lea has the theater experience! This is sad......

  • YAY TAYLOR WON!!!! BOO LEA!!!!!!!

  • YES!

  • Well you can't say that Taylor hasn't been preparing for this role her whole music career. Seeing as most of her songs are her whining over some boy she can't have, she seems perfect as Eponine. Only not really. In all seriousness, it baffles me how Lea was not offered this role. She has the stage experience and has performed the role of Eponine at the Hollywood Bowl production.

  • lea michelle > taylor swift

    nuff said.

  • it's not gonna win an OSCAR now that Taylor's in it. she can't even sing her own songs, let alone "on my own".

  • NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! A thousand times NO!!!!! Taylor Swift's voice is nowhere NEAR powerful enough, and she looks NOTHING like Eponine. Lea is PERFECT. She has an AMAZING voice, AND stage experience. Just look up her version of "My Man" from Funny Girl. She blows me away. Taylor is going to MURDER my favorite character. I really hope this doesn't happen because it would just be a massive insult to Theater. Seriously.

  • all of you haters hating on my girl T-Swizzle need to shut the fuck up in the end they did pick her over Lea So that is saying something!

  • @arellanoirene71 ikr!!! clearly TAYLOR SWIFT IS BETTER!!! so agree with you!!!

ITS GONNA BE SO MUCH BETTER NOW!

  • @Swiftiefrolife13 :) thank youuu someone who understands!!!

  • I love Taylor Swift, but I think Lea Michele has more of the passion and voice needed for Epionine.

  • NO! i don't i think she has talent but lea Michele has the passion....

  • YES!!! personally i think lea michelle is amazing!!! but overated

  • I hope she got the part...... You guys can say that she need to stick to music but i think that she'd be an amazing actress... and its up to her not you. and you dont even know if she got the part or not so quit your whining and get a life!

  • My life = over. Taylor needs to stick with being miserable over guys, NOT BEING IN THE LES MISERABLES MOVIE.

  • @gmanpartusch1 She hasn't dated in like a year duchebag!

  • @LenaNico No I don't mean broadway.I mean acting as a kid.I was just saying that she's had acting experience even though it's from a while ago.I adore Taylor and I think that their either going to be able to help her get a theatrical voice or she's gonna to sing these songs in her normal voice which, though it wouldn't be like the original I think it would still sound good. But if they don't want her to sing with power, idk why they got an Amazing cast.I think Taylor'll end up being great! :)

  • I must say I wasn't happy that I heard this. However, when I first heard Madonna was going to star in Evita, I wasn't happy either. Madonna blew me away! I'm still not too happy, but I'm going to keep an open mind :D

  • Why would they give such a role to someone with no acting ability. Eponine is one of the most difficult roles in theater and Taylor Swifts voice and acting chops are just not up to it.

  • @kazuma16love Taylor has a beautiful voice and is talented, but Lea Michelle practically belongs to this role. I've always been able to imagine her as Epipone (ugh I can't spell the name D:) and her voice suits the song, whereas Taylor would be better in another musical.

  • @miekka968 give her a chance LOL

  • @miekka968 ya, called the life and times of taylor swift - starring taylor swift.

  • I hate the way people say "Taylor is good but I like lea better.."

    Its frustrating..!:)

you can just say who you want in the movie but not scold or critisize taylor!

FOR ALL OF YOU WHO LIKE TAYLOR AND SAY LEA IS BETTER:

YOU PEOPLE AREN'T BEING FAIR AT ALL.

YOU DON'T EVEN GIVE A CHANCE.

JUST BECAUSE SHE BEAT OUT LEA, YOU PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE SHIT

IM SORRY IM FOREVER A TAYLOR FAN, NOT LIKE YOU ALL ;)

  • can she even sing a very high note???

  • @Falvernns No

  • @arianegranger says you

  • @Falvernns Look up her live performance of her song Dear John and then come back and answer your own question.

  • Part of me smiled at the idea that someone beat out Lea Michele for the role (not of fan of Lea)....but, part of me frowned after realizing that it was Taylor Swift...as much as I adore her, I just can't imagine she'd be a great actress. I feel the role would be best with an unknown.

  • How the fuck did she beat Lea Michele?

  • @lovecatherine07 because she's awesome.

  • @lovecatherine07 because she is freaking cooler :)

  • While at first I was horrified that Taylor was even in the running for the role, especially since she does NOT have the voice and acting talent to play Eponine (my opinion), now that I've listened to Frances Ruffelle's Eponine, well, if her voice ends up sounding like that I'll be okay with it :)

  • No. No. Just No. definitely not. I cannot believe they chose Taylor Swift over Lea. This is like her role, shes freaking perfect for it. I would've been fine with any of the other actresses up for it getting the part. But Taylor? No. Just no.

  • YES YES YES YES

  • Ok. I absolutely ADORE taylor, shes a big time inspiration. Lea is also one of my big time inspirations. And I really think Lea should have this rold because she has a kind of voice that just works for a theater musical. Lea really deserves the role. I love taylor, but i just dont think her voice works with Les mis.

  • No No No No No NO NO!!!!!!!

  • Yo Taylor is going to RUIN this movie!!!!! ahhhh :( She sings pop. She is not les miz material. All the other people are actors!! Taylor,,,, not so much, I would like to see Scarlet J in this role she fits with the cast more. SO exited for russel crowe though!!! But T-swift ruins the sophistication of this movie... Seriously REJECT it T-Swift. Or this movie becomes some tacky disney movie.

  • Yes absolutley

  • I think lea michele fits the role better, her voice is defi more theatrical.... and she's got good expressive features on her face. whereas taylor's swift is kinda stiff... oh wells, maybe lea can fight for another musical? cuz i know she will defi do well, if she takes this role i would defi watch it cuz she's got potential talent to become a good actress, whereas taylor shld really just stick to singing country, not insulting her, but her talent lies there... the credits of her album shows it.

  • Taylor has actually done musical theater before. And because she CAN sing, they will just help her create a more broadway voice for this role. They obviously see something there, and they see that they can work with the talent she has to make her even better

  • @meredithjohnston13 Yeah, they see ticket sales to tweens and their moms. Which Broadway shows as Taylor Swift been in? You mentioned she's done musical theatre, I'm assuming you mean Broadway...

  • Les Misérables is my all time favourite musical! I am really looking forward for this movie, but i'm really sad that they didn't choose Lea Michele! I like Taylor Swift and have her songs and everything, but I don't think this role really fits her! And her voice is not suitable for the Éponine's songs! Lea would be a much better choice, since she has a more Broadway stile to her voice and she already played this role before!

  • fuck this, she can't even fucking sing.

  • im a huge swifty so i would always be on taylors side, i think she would be great for it too! you guys should just give her a chance, lea is good but taylor is just as good for the part too, but with everyones negativity i dnt think she would want to take it anymore, but i hope she does. Dont judge her when you havnt even seen what she can do for this movie yet, and she is very good at acting and can fit into different characters like valentines day and other acting parts she done in the past.

  • @mariah13swift I totally agree and i don't see why everybody doesn't just give her a chance

  • @mariah13swift very true but some people here forget to understand that in valentines day, she was supposed to act like that:)

  • Okay, I am a huge Swifty, I love Taylor so so so so much but no. That is Lea's part. Lea has sung Les Mis on Glee and she does it perfectly! Of course I'll be really happy if Taylor accepts and does end up doing the movie but I still think that Lea would be a better choice

  • @BonnieWrightFan4ever lea has played eponine in the hollywood bowl prouction of les mis. where as taylor ruins musical theatre songs. have you heard her singing wss? lets just say, katy perry (who sucks live) is better.

  • @KyleOgilvie1 Wow, I'm impressed you went that far back to even find my comment. And yeah, I heard that Lea played Eponine, even though I didn't know that when I wrote that comment, I had just heard her sing it on glee. And I can't say I'm 100% sure what you mean by wss...But I actually disagree that Taylor can't sing live, I absolutely think she can (opinion) sing live, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Maybe she rocks it, I think you should give her a chance

  • i would like lea more

  • SCREW YOU ALL! Taylor will do great! Lea's voice may have the broadway voice but i find it highly annoying. Taylor will be perfect. You'll see

  • Lea is so perfect for the role of Eponine. This just confuses me more than anything.

  • @spunkiesag12 I just heard the Taylor Swift rendition of the altered version of Tonight, Tonight that they had her sing for the VMA commercial she did back in 2009. If that is what you are referring to it is far from horrendous. Yes they took liberties with the lyrics inserting part of one of Taylor's songs into it, but her performance was very very good. Even if Lea was the one to play the part they would still use autotune to enhance her voice, no matter how good naturally.

  • @NJRinglord the director wants everyone to sing live for the taping...

  • @spunkiesag12 Have you ever seen the crowds at her concerts? Sorry to burst your bubble of hate, but they are majority people ages 18 - 30. Yes the director will very likely have them sing live for all filming and then the sound mixer will sit down with him and they will do what always goes on during editing of the film. You know the sound mixing people you always see listed in the credits of every movie.

  • @NJRinglord yes I have seen the crowds in her concerts and the majority are kids, which is why I stand by what I said. Have you? I do not "hate" her. I just know that there are singers on youtube who could sing much better than she could; especially when it comes to broadway. It is not her element. She could only sing country. There are people who could cross over but she can't. Lea michele was a better choice. Yes, but editing does not have to include auto-tuning now does it? That's the issue

  • @spunkiesag12 I have seen coverage and footage on at least 50 of her concert stops of her latest tour and the majority of the people there are adults 18 - 25 so you better research a little more before you decide to "stand by" your claim. Editing ALWAYS includes tweaking of the voices. There is no does not have to about it.
