Truer words, never been spoken. I assume that, when you were my age, Excel and other cool programs like that weren't around :P. When I'm your age, there'll probably be loads more to learn about, and I won't even know where to get started!
No, Excel was not around. There is always more good stuff to learn! Getting started, as you well know, mean to just look in front of you and see where that leads!
Hell knows, one day we'll probably live in a world like Back to the Future II, with holographic cinemas, voice-activated fruit bowls and hover-boards. And instead of going to the length of pushing a button, we can just say "Computer! On! Excel, load!" Ah, those will be the days ...
I get it now :). At first, I really didn't understand this video, but then I learnt how to use the Choose function. I think that's the only problem with this video, you need to explain the choose function in a little bit more detail, for instance, make it clear that the index number tells you which value it'll pick out of the values that you put down. I can now do this function easily though :P.
Wow lol, did you post a whole video on it just because I asked about how to create a matrix effect with 0's, 1's and blanks? If so, that was very nice of you :P. Oh, and I don't mean to be pedantic, but yield is spelt thus, not yeild :P. Or I dunno, maybe it's different in America/Canada.
Anyway, thanks for the further explanation on how to do that :P. Very useful to me!
Will do :P. Not lik me tho, I nevr make speling erors, nver at al.
On an unrelated note, right now I'm trying out a super-complicated formula on Excel to mark the results of three mathematical questions, I'm using IFs to say "If this person has filled their name in then look at this so many times and tell me whether the result becomes 2/3, 3/3, 1/3 or none correct :P. It's tricky but fun to try!
Aha, found a much easier method, used a Countif next to the mark box to detect how many A's (if the question is correct it displays an A with triggers conditional formatting and makes the box go green,) then I can put at the bottom (only when the sheet is to be marked via a drop-down Yes/No list,) "You have #/3 questions correct."
That was fun :). I also tried out your Excel art video, "Excel is fun!", "Excel is Power!" and I got it working :P. It's really cool!!
That is so cool to hear that you are having so much fun with Excel!
You know after a while, you will find Excel much more fun than videos games because you still get to challenge your mind to learn something complicated, but unlike video games Excel will also:
1) 90%of all jobs love you if youre good with Excel, whereas very few care if you are good with videos games. This of course means that you get hired faster and paid more if you are good with Excel.
2) Excel is infinite and so you will NEVER stop finding new cool things to challenge your mind, whereas videos games usually have an upper limit of what you can do and learn.
Where did the video game example come from? :P. I don't remember talking about them. And yeah, I guess your name is right, Excel is fun :P. I spent two hours refining that quiz thing after I tried and failed to use macros to help, then reverted to using a drop-down list "Yes/No" to mark the answers. I also like putting =TODAY() in, it's a nice touch :P. So far, I've found little in the way of financial things to play around with in spreadsheets ...
Although, in one project which took two weeks or so, I created a spreadsheet to calculate the price of a house in a certain online Java game (RuneScape, I doubt you've heard of it,) as there are materials required to build certain furniture and costs for each room, I then neatly put together a spreadsheet to work out the total price, which some nice touches, concatenation and conditional formatting here and there, even a front page if I ever managed to put it on the internet :P!
Speaking of which, I DO know how to save it as a webpage and view it on an internet browser, but I'm unable to change any values in the cells - and it's not protected or locked. I don't suppose you know if there's any other way of doing this without recreating it using JavaScript and HTML?
Consider yourself vid-responded :D.

Consider yourself as rad as a effortless 900 over a huge gap! :) :) :)

Consider myself asking what the hell that is :P.

Skateboard talk:
900 = 900/360 = 2.5 spins
effortless = make it look easy and graceful
huge gap = hole in ramp you have to jump over
effortless 900 over a huge gap = similie for totally cool.

I see. Even now we have a lot to learn from one another :P.

Always! We humans can learn an endless amount from one another!!

Hopefully you've seen Back to the Future :P. Awesomest film the 1980's has to offer, not the least bit sexist or prejudiced, and really cool!

I am glad to make the video, and yes, please point out when and where I make spelling errors. I am a terrible speller!

That is cool that you like the art video because most think it is silly!
As you just found out, it is quite fun to make!
